More Sad, Creepy Details Emerge About Paula Goodspeed
A few days after the tragic suicide of former American Idol contestant Paula Goodspeed, new details have emerged about the troubled Paula Abdul fan.
According to People Magazine, the following incidents and facts sum up Goodspeed's obsession with the show's judge:
- Last week, Abdul received flowers with a note signed: "Love, J.T." and the message, "Hope you're doing great. Here's my new cell number." The singer assumed they were from ex-boyfriend J.T. Torregiani,, but he denied knowledge of the gift.
"The flower thing was really scary – Paula [Abdul] really couldn't handle that. She was terrified," a source said of Abdul's reaction when she realized the bouquet came from Goodspeed.

- Abdul had received over 100 letters, numerous phone calls and many visits from Goodspeed over the last three years.
- Goodspeed changed her first name from Sandra to Paula.
Said Ed Faris, a producer/songwriter in Los Angeles, who worked with Goodspeed on her aspiring singing career around 2005:
"I was shocked to hear about her death, I never thought it would come to that," says Faris. "It's just a sad situation all around."
Paula Goodspeed, Alleged Paula Abdul Stalker, Found Dead
Tragic news out of the world of American Idol today:
Paula Goodspeed, a contestant who auditioned for season five of the show, reportedly killed herself outside of Paula Abdul’s house last night.
According to People Magazine, a car registered to Goodspeed was found parked outside the judge's Sherman Oaks, California residence.
“This has been ruled an apparent suicide,” LAPD officer April Harding said in statement Wednesday, “and the coroner’s office is now investigating. The body was found around 6 p.m. Tuesday.”

The vehicle's license plate read “ABL LV,” while a photo of Abdul hung from the rear view mirror. During her American Idol audition, seen above, Paula Goodspeed said: "I'm a really big fan, and I made life-sized drawings of Paula. I've been drawing ever since I was a little kid, and my first drawing was of Paula Abdul."
The singer chimed in on the horrific incident:
"I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday," Abdul said in a statement. "My heart and prayers go out to her family."
Fashion Face-Off: Paula Abdul vs. Jennifer Lopez
Paula Abdul is insane and Jennifer Lopez is pretty much irrelevant in the celebrity gossip world at this point.
Still, the American Idol judge and the former A-list superstar make news from time to time, typically for reasons we'd be ashamed of.
The latest example? They were caught wearing the same dress! The horror!

Kara DioGuardi, American Idol Judges: The First Photos!
The public got its first glimpse of Kara DioGuardi alongside her American Idol judging partners yesterday.
Kara, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson were in Manhattan for a round of season eight auditions. They look like one happy family so far, don't they?
Here are a few more shots of Kara DioGuardi mugging it up with Simon and company. Click to enlarge...
Paula Abdul Changes Tune Over Kara DioGuardi
Paula Abdul is excited to work alongside Kara DioGuardi. Forget the concern she showed before.
"This is gonna be a good thing. I'm really thrilled," Abdul told Perez Hilton, likely at the urging of American Idol producers. "For me, I'm excited as can be. I think this time around, it's gonna work adding a new judge. A lot of surprises are in store that are gonna make it more exciting to watch the show."
Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul are like total BFF.
The crazy judge said she brought up the idea of adding DioGuardi to the panel a few years ago. She's known the songwriter since 1999.
"I've been talking about her for years," Abdul said. "I hope the audience gets excited and accepts it. Sometimes its been hard when we've had four judges in the past. They always wanted four judges since the beginning. It'll be good to have two girls, and two guys. Kara's like a sister to me."
Paula Abdul Expresses Concern Over Kara DioGuardi
Might an American Idol catfight be brewing?
Paula Abdul appeared on Phoenix's 104.7 KISS FM Johnjay & Rich radio show this morning and sounded less than thrilled about the addition of Kara DioGuardi to the reality competition's judging table.
"I am concerned about the audience and acceptance," Abdul said, adding the profound prediction that "time will tell. We'll see."
Kara DioGuardi can write songs. But can she judge those that sing them?
The quirky judge added that American Idol producers hired DioGuardi because they "wanted to try a change."
"They always tried for a fourth judge because it followed the format of the original show, Pop Idol," Abdul said. "We haven't had much luck with that working, but we're gonna give it another try."
Sounds like Paula is concerned about another female stealing her completely insane thunder on the show.
Paula Abdul Splits with JT Torregiani
It doesn't take much to make Paula Abdul cry.
Therefore, we can only imagine how the American Idol judge reacted upon breaking up with restaurateur J.T. Torregiani.
The pair parted ways approximately two months ago, but no one cared enough about either to report it at the time; Torregiani has moved out of the American Idol judge's Los Angeles home.
"She's doing fine," a friend of Abdul's told Us Weekly. "She has moved on with her life."

Ryan Seacrest Defends Paula Abdul
It was an emotional hour of American Idol last night.
Even before Brooke White broke down in tears following her elimination, Ryan Seacrest had come to the defense of Paula Abdul.
Responding to celebrity gossip sites that dared to claim Abdul was drunk during her Tuesday night blunder - when she critiqued a Jason Castro song that hadn't been performed yet - Seacrest said:
"Last night the judges were thrown a curve ball on the air, which is just part of a live show... But it sparked a lot of gossip about Paula. And I read some of this online this morning and just for the record, the rumors â" they're not true. She's part of our family and we love her."
Abdul truly looked touched as the audience cheered, while both Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell gave her a kiss on the cheek.
This caused Ryan to joke: "I think Simon still wants to hook up with her."
Report: Paula Abdul Drunk on American Idol
For once, Paula Abdul may wanna own up to being plastered during American Idol.
The only other excuse the kooky judge could give for critiquing a performance that had yet to take place last night - seriously, take a look at the video now - would be that she's a moron.
According to celebrity gossip source TMZ, Abdul was served at least one martini during lunch yesterday, Granted, that was hours before the show aired, but Paula isn't the heaviest woman on the planet. We doubt her tolerance is very high.
Did Paula Abdul give away the fact that American Idol is scripted with remarks about a Jason Castro performance that hadn't taken place?
