No blood is shed, but every head in the room turns, that's for sure.

Such was the case last night, as Kellan Lutz, Stephen Moyer and Paul Wesley were all honored by Cosmopolitan Magazine as Fun Fearless Males. They attended a party at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in NYC and posed for photographers there:

Moyer, of course, is a key part of the True Blood cast, playing Bill Compton.

Lutz, meanwhile, stars in the Twilight Saga as Emmit Cullen; while Wesley makes viewers of The Vampire Diaries drool in his role as Stefan Salvatore.

It was written off as a Twilight Saga clone at first, but The Vampire Diaries has made a solid impression on viewers.

This is a truly intriguing drama on The CW, anchored by a gorgeous cast. It's led by Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley.

The threesome posed for a series of photos with Nylon magazine this week, with each answering a question about the surprising hit:

Dobrev, on similarities with other vampire franchises: "When the show first started... you automatically thought Twilight.  But once you continue, there's a whole other side of it that goes a lot deeper... It's about letting everyone know that we're different but we all respect each other."

Wesley, on gratitude for Twilight: "Do I thing the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for all that? No.”

Somerhalder, on initial reaction to Damon Salvatore: “[My character] is gonna be the coolest character on television. There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway’s character on Lost. He was always the character I secretly wished I could play.”

It's the year of the vampire.

In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, the magazine features its "Fun Fearless Males" of 2010 - and a pair of pretend blood suckers lead the way.

Paul Wesley and Kellan Lutz grace the issue's cover, as each opens up about random topics (Lutz on his vices: "I need sugar all the time and I’m obsessed with lip balm." Wesley on single life: "I can relate to being in love with one person. Dating around never appealed to me.") and each simply looks smoldering.

For 10 episodes of The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley has been doing battle with Ian Somerhalder.

The portrayal of Stefan and Damon Salvatore by these handsome actors has been the key to that show's early success on The CW.

But Wesley will soon have competition for hottest series star from another source, as Sean Faris debuts on the drama in early 2010.

Faris, whose previous best-known role was on the short-lived Fox show Reunion, comes aboard The Vampire Diaries in the role of a bartender named Ben. Will he suck blood, or merely suck face with female characters on the show?

Earlier this week, Robert Pattinson complained that he can't get a date.

Now, in an interview with Teen Vogue, Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley tells the magazine he wasn't always the most popular kid in school.

"I definitely wasn't invited to any of the cool parties," he said. "Girls didn't like me that much. I didn't even go to my prom."

What else did Wesley have to say? A few excerpts from the article:

On the success of The Vampire Diaries: "I've had cameos on some cool shows. But it's nice to now be doing something that I'm involved in from the beginning."

On interacting with the Twilight Saga cast while shooting in Vancouver: "The cast was staying at our hotel. We saw them everywhere and hung out all the time. They're actually really nice people."

On comparisons to that film franchise: "They have vampires and high school romance in common, but that's about it."
