Author James Frey is returning to the scene of his public evisceration by Oprah Winfrey five years ago. The rematch will be one of O's final episodes.

Frey was simply CRUSHED by Oprah in 2006 when she found out he made up a ton of details in his hugely popular memoir, A Million Little Pieces.

According to reports, Frey will return to the show and will talk with Oprah about how his life was affected by the scandal over the past five years.

Oprah-James Frey Interview

No word on when Frey's episode is scheduled to run.

Oprah taking Frey to task earned some of her biggest ratings in history, and clearly did not make the author look good. Will his return involve similar fireworks?

Kirstie Alley does not hold back.

The 60-year-old Dancing With the Stars maverick took another sexy turn yesterday - this time on Oprah, where she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared.

Kirstie and her DWTS partner appeared on the talk show as part of O's big Bloopers, Blunders and Funniest Moments episode. They delivered a classic:

They wowed the crowd - including Cee Lo Green - with some slick moves and obvious chemistry. Then Kirstie tore off Maks' shirt to thunderous applause.

Kirstie fell during the rumba two weeks ago, then lost a shoe this week, But she says mishaps and all, she's found doing the punishing show cathartic.

"It's sort of given me my confidence back," she said. "It's amazing."

Hopefully she keeps rocking on DWTS for many weeks to come.

Recently out of rehab, David Arquette sat down with Oprah Winfrey this week for an interview that will air today.

The recovering actor touched on a number of topics, including:

  • His first drink: "I must have been four-years-old. I was down in the basement with my dad and beer was there and I just grabbed it and drank it. And I remember that. It's one of my earliest memories."
  • Young problems: "I seriously started drinking probably when I was about 12. I stole pot from my father when I was eight years old."
  • Loved ones intervening: "I came back from Miami and I had taken a nap. I woke up and Patricia and Courteney were at my bed. Courteney had a cup of coffee. I was like, 'What are you two doing here together?' I already knew."

Sources add that David and Courteney remain "great friends and are getting along really well" in the wake of their separation and his treatment. That's very nice to hear.

Michael Vick just called time out on his interview ever with Oprah Winfrey that was set to air next week. The abrupt cancellation was not explained.

"Michael Vick was scheduled to be a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show for an episode airing next Thursday," said a spokesman for Harpo Productions.

Oooooprah!

"Mr. Vick's representatives called to cancel his appearance for personal reasons."

Vick did not elaborate, but told Philadelphia Sports Daily, that "I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future."

Why would the NFL star bail? It's doubtful that he's ducking tough questions, as he's faced them head on for over a year, and he has a heck of a story to tell.

After running an illegal dogfighting ring led to a 23-month stint in prison and home confinement, he returned to the NFL in 2009 and climbed back to stardom.

Some sources say the cancellation may boil down to a friendly wager. Seriously.

Michael Vick, who fell from grace as an NFL star and landed in a federal prison for dogfighting, only to reemerge as a star years later, is coming to Oprah.

The talk show queen's interview with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is set to air on Thursday. Oprah Winfrey will also do an extensive feature on Vick.

Officials with Chicago-based Harpo Productions say she will spotlight Vick's time in prison, work with the Humane Society and return to NFL stardom.

Vick. Oprah. The much-anticipated interview airs Thursday.

Vick served 18 months in prison over a dogfighting ring based on his property in Surry County, Va. In 2007, several dogs were seized from his property.

He was released, then reinstated to the NFL for the 2009 season and has been doing public-service work, including with the Humane Society, ever since.

Do you think Michael Vick is a changed man? Will Oprah take it to him with tough questions? Are you looking forward to seeing him on the program?

Oprah has been in the news a lot lately. No, even more than usual.

Welcoming First Lady Michelle Obama to her show, introducing her half-sister and preparing to OWN us all, 2011 has been a banner year for her so far.

Today, however, Winfrey is only in the news because it's January 29th - also Adam Lambert's birthday. Here's wishing the talk show queen a happy 57th!

Oprah's half-sister made major headlines this week, but today, the host sheds light on a family secret of a different sort. One that often goes unrecognized.

First Lady Michelle Obama visits the Oprah Winfrey Show today along with Tom Brokaw and Bob Woodward. The topic? The Bravest Families in America.

Oprah, Michelle and the famed journalists have joined forces to shed light on the sacrifice military families make when their loved ones go into battle.

Asked what moves her about our armed services, Michelle said, "Their strength. Their pride. Their courage. Their willingness to sacrifice without complaint."

"That's what moves me every time. Whenever I'm feeling bad, or feeling sorry for myself, I suck it up because of these families."

As for why Michelle is speaking up, she says it's because someone has to.

Oprah Winfrey is not exactly known for quiet or subtle gesture.

But the talk show host says she and half-sister Patricia are taking their relationship "slow," having only been in each other's lives for two months.

"I think it's about building a relationship one conversation – one experience – at a time," Oprah told her BFF on yesterday's episode of The Gayle King Show.

Winfrey and Patricia have a mother in common, of course, Vernita Lee. She's not well, and that has given the newly united sisters a cause to focus on together.

"Everybody who's dealing with an ailing parent understands that process of getting care for them. And we're speaking regularly about that," said Oprah.

We're not entirely sure if Oprah Winfrey being united with her half-sister really qualifies as the "miracle of miracles," as the talk show host hyped over the weekend.

But there is something truly remarkable about the discovery made by Oprah just prior to Thanksgiving: Patricia, the woman who spent years tracking down her birth mother and who learned in 2007 that she was related to one of the richest people on the planet, had multiple opportunities to sell this story to the tabloids.

She refused.

"All Patricia wanted was the truth," an insider tells Pop Eater "She wasn't interested in selling her story, even for a million dollars. She just wanted to know who she was, where she came from and if she had any brothers or sisters. She had no idea when she started this search she would end up being Oprah Winfrey's half-sister."

Sources say the "starting point" for an interview with Patricia would be one million dollars. But the woman who, appropriately, first met Oprah on Thanksgiving Day, is showing no signs that she's interested. Concludes this insider:

"No one knows what the future holds for the family. Patricia doesn't want a dime from Oprah and certainly wasn't going to take money from a tabloid whose offers are now pouring in.

"For the most part my life has been an open book. I thought nothing could surprise me, but I was wrong."

So said Oprah Winfrey to kick off the latest edition of her talk show, which was taped this morning in Chicago. The episode had been hyped for days by Oprah, who teased viewers by saying she'd reveal a family secret that shook her to the core.

That secret? A half-sister named Patricia who was given by for adoption by Oprah's mother in 1963. In the following clips, Winfrey tells her audience about Patricia and then sits down with her relative, about whom Oprah says:

"What is so extraordinary is they have known this secret since 2007... She never once thought to go to the press. She never once thought to sell this story."
