But the House star has chosen to showcase her sweet side over her sexy side in the January issue of Lucky, which hits newsstands on December 8.

Wilde covers the magazine and poses adorably for a feature that focuses on her fashion choices, not her bedroom fetishes. This is a shame for horny males, but a solid career decision by Olivia, who likely wants to be known as more than just a sex symbol...

In an interview with Lucky, Wilde opens up about her fashion fantasies and her favorite bargains:

On her fashion dreams: “I find myself constantly pretending I’m a chic Parisian. I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest.”

On her favorite bargains: “Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on - so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting.”

At last night's Emmy Awards ceremony, both Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Love Hewitt posed for photographers.

Was the red carpet big enough for two such beauties? Of course. That thing is really long. It probably covers at least a mile.

But that doesn't settle the pressing question on the minds of readers everywhere: Which actress looked hotter at the event? The rising House star? Or the former Party of Fiver?

Which beauty looked better at the Emmys?

Don't be fooled by the headline, Twilight Saga fans: there's nothing physically wrong (at all!) with Robert Pattinson.

But in the latest issue of GQ, Olivia Wilde expresses concern for the actor, whose fame has sky-rocketed faster than an actual space-bound rocket.

“I [do] not envy him,” the House star tells the magazine. “I think it’s the frog-in-boiling-water concept. Robert Pattinson jumped in boiling water and has stayed in it, and hopefully will survive. Whereas I entered the water when it was cold, and it’s been slowly heating up. Maybe I won’t realize when it’s getting dangerous.”

Cheer up, Robert Pattinson. Just take a peek to your right.

As for Wilde, she's trying to remain calm about her own growing success.

“I’m definitely at this point now where things are shifting, they’re changing very fast,” she said. “The only role I really don’t understand is this recent sort of ’sexiest-vixen’ thing. It doesn’t feel like me, doesn’t feel natural.”

It certainly looks natural to us, Olivia. Yowza!

It's hard to believe there was a time when we thought of Olivia Wilde as the girl on House, or the chick who was somehow proclaimed Maxim's hottest woman in the universe. Seemed a bit of an exaggeration on the part of Maxim, right?

Maybe not. The October issue of GQ contains quite possibly the most gorgeous photo spread in the history of human civilization. C'mon, are we wrong?

Last month, when Olivia Wilde was crowned Earth's most beautiful woman by Maxim, we were a little bit skeptical of the men's magazine's decision-making.

After all, have you seen Megan Fox pictures? Marisa Miller photos? Bar Refaeli pics? Adriana Lima images? Is anyone doing research over there at Maxim?

Despite Olivia Wilde's undisputed good looks, this seemed a dubious title given the competition. Seemed. As in past tense. Maxim is changing our minds.

In a recent magazine interview, Megan Fox spoke glowingly - and new-pants-inducingly - about Olivia Wilde, the actress that topped this year's Maxim Hot 100 List.

Fox said Wilde is “so sexy, she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox.”

So, Olivia, how do you feel about that compliment? Would you ever make out with Fox?

“Of course, anything I can do to save the mountain ox, I’m happy to do," the House star said.

When Olivia Wilde was named the world's most beautiful woman by Maxim, we had our doubts.

After all, we've seen Marisa Miller pictures. We've spent hours drooling over Megan Fox photos. We've had to have Brooklyn Decker images surgically removed from our hands.

Wilde is very pretty and all, but the world is a big place. It seemed like an undeserved honor.

Our overall opinion hasn't changed, but this photo spread of the House star definitely helps her cause. No offense, Shawn Johnson. But you're no longer the cutest gymnast on TV...

"When it comes to TV docs, there's only one who makes our body temperatures rise," the venerable men's publication extolls. We were drooling over the NYC native long before she was injected into Fox's hit medical drama."
