Should Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Star in 50 Shades of Grey?
Nina Dobrev hasn't read Fifty Shades of Grey yet, but with her name floating around as a possible fit for the female lead, she might want to get on it!
"All I've heard is that it's very scandalous, to say the least," the Vampire Diaries starlet told MTV. "I haven't read it, but I'm intrigued ... who knows?"
"I mean, well, I guess we'll have to see."
With co-star and real-life boyfriend Ian Somerhalder expressing interest in the role of Christian Grey, it's no surprise Dobrev has been linked to Anastasia Steele.
Working with Ian a second time isn't as appealing to Nina as you night think, though. She said if she did play Anastasia, she'd prefer another guy.
"I don't know if that's a good idea," she said of herself and Somerhalder both starring in the movie adaptation of EL James' erotic love story trilogy.
"I think it's best for any of the actors on The Vampire Diaries to kind of do their own things ... and create new characters ... if it's the same people, the fans will alway see me as Elena and they'll see him as Damon if we do a film together."
Nina Dobrev Appears on Conan, Performs Crotch-Based Yoga
Well, now we know what Ian Somerhalder sees in Nina Dobrev.
The Vampire Diaries star appeared on Conan last night and fulfilled her vow to practice a bit of Yoga for the host and his audience. But she required O'Brien's assistance.
So Conan leaped over his desk, Dobrev removed her shoes and jacket, fellow guest Joel McHale uttered "this is awesome" and the actress proceeded to perform a pose dubbed "The Scorpion," using O'Brien as her "wall." Or O'Brien's crotch, to be more specific.
Watch the fun (sexy!) clip below, which is followed by a hilarious reaction from the comedian. Best job ever? It's at least in the top five.

Forgive us for ripping off a previous CW marketing campaign, but: OMFG.
There really is no alternate reaction to the trio of covers Entertainment Weekly just released in honor of The Vampire Diaries, specifically stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. All three are featured across the main cover and two collector's items, and nary a shirt is to be seen...
Copies of the issue go on sale Friday, while inside producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson dish on the challenge of writing for a show with dueling, passionate fan bases.
"When we want Stefan and Elena to have a moment together, how can we do that and not have our Delena fans outraged?” Plec asks.
We've got an idea, Julie: just take Damon's shirt off. That will satisfy all viewers.
Nina Dobrev Wants to Be a Drug Addict!
Nina Dobrev may star on The Vampire Diaries, but she portrays a relatively normal character. Elena Gilbert is a mere mortal, after all.
Hence why the young star wants to expand her resume to include more movies, telling the latest issue of Nylon “I want to become a different person" and adding:
"I want to be a punk or a sweetheart or a drug addict! There are so many things to explore... Sometimes they’ll be like, ‘She’s not plain enough.’ Or ‘She’s not edgy enough.’ That frustrates me. I feel like a blank canvas, and I wish people would be a little more open-minded.”
Dobrev is on the verge of major stardom, despite her small screen status, thanks to the wild popularity of her CW show and her relationship with Ian Somerhalder. But the actress says she wants to maintain a bit of anonymity overall.
“I can’t say I’m not interested in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their family," Dobrev says. "But it’s something you fight really hard to preserve and keep private.”
Nina Dobrev "Freaking Out" Over Ian Somerhalder Proposal: Report
Their characters shared their first real kiss on The Vampire Diaries last week, but a new report suggests things have taken a turn for the worse in real life for Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.
According to In Touch Weekly, the actor proposed to his long-time girlfriend over the holidays, but the response was not exactly what Somerhalder has been dreaming about.
“She is freaking out, saying, ‘I don’t want to marry him!’” a friend claims. “She thinks she’s too young, and with all the offers she’s getting, she’s poised to be a big star... They were having fun, and now there’s a lot of tension.”
Call us crazy, but if Dobrev doesn't want to wake up alongside Somerhalder every morning for the rest of her life, we have a feeling a few (million) other women might.
UPDATE: Ian's rep has shot down this rumor, saying no proposal ever took place.

The Vampire Diaries co-stars were outed as a couple this summer, photographed in Paris together, and they each gushed about the other on Saturday night at The CW premiere party in Burbank, CA.
