Earlier today, the pregnant Jersey Shore star sent out the following picture, featuring her fiance Jionni LaValle - and her engagement bling, of course.

Snooki has been showing off her growing baby bump ever since she confirmed she is expecting, and isn’t disappointing with her maternity couture:

The Snook continues to wear wild prints, the poof in her hair and sky high heels ... kind of like a Jersey-fied, less enormous version of Jessica Simpson.

She's currently filming her spin-off reality show with JWoww and practicing on baby dolls. She is slated to return for a sixth season of Jersey Shore.

Her pregnancy is going to be a major story line in the show this summer ... unless Snooki and The Situation are phased out, which has been rumored.

Either way, she and Jionni LaValle look happy! Lucky/poor guy!

Vinny Guadagnino says Snooki will be a great mom.

We're not as confident, but she's at least practicing.

Inspired by the producers of their spinoff series maternal instincts, Snook and BFF JWoww have been seen out and about with plastic infant training dolls.

The pregnant Jersey Shore star has been carrying around the fake kid for days now and it hasn't OD'd or been dropped on its head, so, that's something.

No idea when the baby is due, but we're guessing August or September ... not 12/21/12, which would have made the Mayan apocalypse prediction eerily accurate.

Plenty of people are seriously freaked out at the notion that Jersey Shore star Snooki will be raising a child soon, but Vinny Guadagnino is not one of them.

In fact, he's ready to baby proof the Jersey Shore house.

Vin said he'll do whatever he can to help his friend: "We're all family. Whatever she needs. We'll turn the smush room into a nursery and there we go."

In all seriousness, he says Snooks "will be a great mom. She's already drastically changed her life. I think this is a good wakeup call. I think she'll be great."

Now that Snooki's engaged to Jionni LaValle and all, that probably puts a damper on her occasional smush room sessions with Vinny. Probably for the best.

Guadagnino was less in the loop when it came The Situation, who announced last week that he's seeking treatment for his prescription drug problem.

"I don't speak to Mike in general," he admitted. "So I haven't spoken to him. I don't have a sense of how he's doing now. But I wish him all the best."

Guadagnino shot down chatter that both Snooki and The Situation will be phased out of the show given both of their life-changing circumstances.

"I don't know if they will be there or not," he said. "But I have a great feeling that they're both going to be back there and nothing will change."

Would you watch Jersey Shore sans Snooks and Mike?

With Snooki pregnant and engaged (!) and The Situation in rehab, the producers of Jersey Shore are obviously concerned. For the stars, sure, but mostly for the show.

Apparently they are worried the show will lose its edge - being a show about a bunch of drunk, sex-crazed rowdies - and are looking to phase the two out.

Newer, crazier cast members are apparently being sought.

MTV released a statement earlier this week, after Mike admitted his substance abuse problem, claiming it expects the entire cast to return for Season 6.

However, sources close to 495 Productions say the company is quite concerned about the recent events and wants to keep things fresh above all else.

If that means bringing in new JS cast members to help transition the show into a new generation, while still keeping old fans hooked, then so be it.

495 plans to limit Snooki and Situation's roles on the new season, giving the new cast members more screen time instead. Filming begins this summer.

Would you watch Jersey Shore without Snooki and Mike?

Jersey Shore has been in the news a lot lately for reasons having nothing to do with the show, making last night's reunion special feel a bit pointless.

With Snooki pregnant and Mike in rehab, the two top stories among MTV's band of guidos are playing out in real life, not in front of reality TV cameras.

Still, the gang assembled for a postmortem of sorts in the aftermath of the fifth season, which ended last week. And there certainly a lot to discuss.

Highlights from the Jersey Shore reunion special included:

• Snooki continuing to deny servicing Mike, saying, "If I was that horny, I'd just go to my room and masturbate." Sitch also stood his ground: "I'm not a liar, I'm not. And I'm not gonna be made out to look like one, that's it." 
• Mike was again dubbed the villain of the house, after which he said he felt emotional and left out. JWoww suggested that he apologize for the shady things he's done, but Mike instead walked off set. Way to go man.
• JWoww convinced him to com back out, and Mike did apologize. Aww.
• BFFs Pauly and Vinny reminisced about pranks, stalkers and the like.
• JWoww is still happy in love with Roger Williams.
• Snooki is, of course, still with Jionni LaValle.
• Ronnie Magro and Sammi Giancola are no longer in a relationship because their "schedules became hectic." As for who ended it? Mixed messages.

Just a few months until Jersey Shore season six films!

Jersey Shore train wreck Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi shocked everyone, including herself, when she announced she was pregnant and engaged to Jionni LaValle.

So surprised that she may be putting her baby at risk?

”Snooki was not expecting to get pregnant at all, and before she found out she had been partying like crazy,” a friend reveals in a new Reality Weekly report.

“She’s admitted that she was drinking a lot on New Year’s, but the truth is it’s way worse than she’s letting on," says the above magazine, which apparently exists.

"She was on a total binge, even for her ... it was one party after another.”

Jionni has always hated Snooki’s over-the-top antics, which is odd since he's been with SNOOKI for well over a year. Still, she’s "afraid to tell him her fears."

Moreover, with Jersey Shore Season 6 still a go this summer despite her baby news, she's worried about abstaining from alcohol for six whole months!

“She’s vowed not to drink, but Snooki is definitely tempted,” the source reveals. “Her friends are a little worried about her because it’s such a big change."

"It's not something she was really ready for. She’s having a hard time adjusting to being sober 24/7. She’s freaking out about that and the weight gain."

Jionni’s been trying to feed Snooki enough calories for a healthy baby, but she’s not eating. “Most of it hits the trash when he’s not looking,” the source says.

This girl might make The Situation's drug problem seem tame.

Thought Snooki's pregnancy would derail Jersey Shore? Think again!

When Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi confirmed she's expecting a baby, many assumed that the MTV reality series, which just wrapped its fifth season (in just over two years' time), was kaput, officially, or at least destined to lose the Snook.

No. Season 6 is a go, with the full cast in tow. Fist-pump/head-slap!

The show will return again to the STD-friendly confines of Seaside Heights, N.J., where the gang will venture into "uncharted territory" this time around.

A press release from MTV, confirming the new season today, reads:

"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same."

That's putting it mildly. Say a prayer for the unborn guido/ette.

Incidentally, Snooki's baby, her first with fiance Jionni LaValle, isn't due until the fall, so that leaves time for plenty of pregnant partying this summer.

Will Snooki be a good mom?

In light of the fact that Jionni got Snooki pregnant, and multiple cast members have their own spinoffs coming out, was this the last ever Jersey Shore?

That remains to be seen, but if Thursday night's Season 5 finale turned out to be a swan song, our favorite roving gang of guidos/ettes could do worse.

Between an epic prank war, laughter, tears, bittersweet emotions, hooking up with two lesbians and even a natural disaster, this chapter had it all in Seaside.

The Situation gets upset when he sees Pauly D and Vinny's latest prank. Like, for real upset. Like, it "really, really, really" pisses him off, he assures us.

And by that metric, Operation Inside Out was totes a success! Plus 14.

Eventually, Pauly helped Sitch bring all his "ruined" belongings back in the house. Because that's what friends do ... to help others quit whining. Plus 4.

Sitch tells Snook the gossip about Deena's sister. Guy cannot go 15 minutes without gossiping. Minus 10 for being lame, Plus 15 for entertaining fans.

Deena finds a new drink holder. Fake boobs are so utilitarian. Plus 9.

Vinny becomes "friends" with two lesbians at the club, and it seems they're into him too. It's as if he's died and gone to guido heaven. Plus 20.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, ready to settle down? We'll believe it when we see it, but that's the rumor going around ever since she confirmed she's pregnant and engaged.

The man responsible for both those life changes: Jionni LaValle.

Needless to say, Snooki’s bundle of joy wasn’t exactly planned. But she and Jionni seem thrilled, and more than ready to begin life anew. The Jersey Shore star said:

“I’m 24. I’ve had all the fun I’m ever going to have in my life.”

Presumably she meant... as a single girl, with no kids?

No word on whether she will really be leaving Jersey Shore after this season, but in any case, congratulations to the pair as they begin their next chapter!

“I’m not thinking it may happen, I know,” she said last month, about marriage. “I know that I found the right guy... I’m just waiting for him to ask.”

Looks like Jionni stepped up in a big way.

Snooki didn't have to look far for baby shower entertainment.

The Jersey Shore star, who is pregnant and engaged to Jionni LaValle, recently made a very special request to her co-star Paul DelVecchio, a.k.a. Pauly D.

"She told me she wants me to deejay the delivery room," Pauly tells People. "I might have to decline, but I told her I'll just deejay he baby shower."

His baby shower DJ role will have to come in between his deejaying at Las Vegas's Hard Rock Hotel, where he is beginning a deejaying residency.

He also has a show, The Pauly D Project, premiering on MTV March 29.

While he won't be in charge of the baby shower, he has thought about what a Pauly D baby shower would look like for his Jersey Shore cast mate.

"I would have spray tan booths in the corner, because she loves to tan, and a lot of loud music," he says. "And I'd have pickles everywhere, too."

He's also given some thought to styling Snooki's baby when he/she is born.

"I think it's ready for hair gel as soon as it comes out. If there is hair, throw some gel in there," he says. "Too young to tan though. Don't tan."

"You gotta be 18 for that. Maybe a spray tan."
