Can Nick Jonas go from pop superstar to President of the United States?

Yes he can!

The 16-year old took to the national stage yesterday when he appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. He told White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux that she may be covering him one day.

“I’ve always said that I would like to be president. It’s kind of my whole thing," Nick said, providing the year in which he may run: “Maybe 2040.”

Jonas actually had a legitimate reason for speaking out on the show: the cause of juvenile diabetes.

“I’m here to basically raise awareness and encourage people to continue to do what they can to raise awareness as well in their own circle and on a broader scale,” he said. “Obviously, we’ve made some advances in technology to better manage our diabetes, but we’re hoping for a cure one day, and that’s what the main goal is.”

Way to go, Nick! It's nice to see that the public make-out session between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is not distracting you from what's important. She sucks anyway.

Granted, the break-up of Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston is old news at this point.

In the weeks since, Miley has either rekindled her relationship with Nick Jonas (according to Joe Jonas); or embarked on a single life she's sometimes "lovingg" and sometimes loathing.

Still, it's revealing to revisit the end to her relationship with Gaston, as an insider recently pointed to a photo shoot with Cyrus and Jonas as the beginning of the end for Miley and Justin.

"Miley explained to current beau Justin Gaston after the shoot that she was never truly over Nick and that all her feelings were coming back for him," a source told Fox News, adding that Cyrus returned to Jonas ""almost immediately" after she and Gaston were through.

This insider continued:

"One day Miley was with Justin, the next she was with Nick again! His family is thrilled with the reunion. Nick's mom always loved Miley and in light of their Disney show, J.O.N.A.S. taking in the ratings lately, the entire Jonas camp is excited. There's a hope that their renewed romance will benefit everyone."

Except for Gaston, of course. He and his chiseled abs are left to fend for themselves now.

As for Cyrus and Jonas?

"They still manage to speak daily and send texts and Tweets all day long to each other," said the source.  "After Nick gets done performing they usually video chat online late into the night.  Every night!  It seems to work for them and both are happier than normal.  They are very sweet together."

When 16-year-old Nick Jonas testified to the Senate Homeland and Government Affairs Committee about living with diabetes, we were impressed with how maturely he stayed composed up there, as well as how well-spoken he is for his age.

Of course, his quoting of his own song lyrics and plug for the Jonas Brothers' 147 new projects seemed a bit out of place, but then again, his heartfelt words describe this health struggle he has battled all his life. So way to go, Nick!

Nick's official purpose for testifying in front of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing was to advocate for government funding for diabetes research, along with Sugar Ray Leonard and Mary Tyler Moore.

Later, Nick met Barack Obama during a trip to the White House.

He popped in for a photo with the Commander-in-Chief and children who are living with the serious illness. If anyone can upstage the President, Nick would be it!

As if the first concert of the Jonas Brothers' new tour in Arlington, Texas, last night wasn't awesome enough, a very special guest made an appearance.

That's right, none other than Miley Cyrus came on stage to sing her duet with Nick Jonas, "Before The Storm," off the latest Jonas Brothers album.

Looks like they've reconnected in more ways than one!

The two have spent QT together since she broke up with Justin Gaston recently, and Joe Jonas basically confirmed Nick and Miley are dating in an interview with Larry King. But this video may be the strongest evidence of their love yet.

From the way Miley looks at Nick during the performance, is there any doubt she is head over heels in love with him? We think not. We think not.

If Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus' recently rekindled passion wasn't official before now, his brother Joe pretty much let the cat out of the bag on Larry King Live.

Asked by the ancient talk show host if he has a girlfriend, Joe Jonas admitted that he does, but wouldn't name names (it's Camilla Belle, we're fairly certain).

Asked if she is in "the business" or if she is as famous as Nick's girlfriend, Joe responded "I don't think anyone is as famous as Miley Cyrus." Case closed!

Kevin Jonas, in a relationship himself, then opined that perhaps, the obsession with Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus - or any 16-year-old's love life - is a bit silly.

Hard to argue with that - but it's fun!

In addition to grilling them on their romantic endeavors - maybe Larry was looking for some pointers, as he's been married like 11 times - King also talked to the three young hunks about their music and Nick's recent high school graduation.

It's official. Nick Jonas is the whole package.

He's not only a music star with boyish good looks and strong values, but he's reconnected with Miley Cyrus and is now a high school graduate - at 16.

What's not to love about this young man?

"I'm happy to announce I have graduated! Class of '09!" the youngest of the Jonas Brothers - who is home schooled - wrote on the bros' Twitter page.

"Congrats to everyone else who has also graduated this year," he said, signing off his Tweet by referring to himself as "Mr. President (Nick)."

He earned that nickname for bossing around Kevin, 21, and Joe, 19.

Diploma in hand, Nick Jonas further cements his role model status.

Let this be a lesson to all you kids out there. Stay in school and learn.

That way, by the time you burn through the tens of millions of dollars you've made as a teen pop star, you at least have your education to fall back on.

While fans banter about her love life, Cyrus has given them something else to debate: a new nose piercing!

"I'll let people think what they will," she said of the nostril jewelery. "I hope no one is upset at me for doing it... I am a huge Kelly Clarkson fan and I loved when she had her nose pierced."

Miley Cyrus is currently in Savannah, Georgia, as production gets underway for the Nicholas Sparks-penned movie The Last Song.

But fans of the singer are more interested in her current song; i.e., the duet she has undertaken with her rumored-to-be rekindled flame, Nick Jonas.

As the lyrics above - as well as Miley's own Tweets - imply, this couple is back together. In fact, Nick flew down to Savannah this week to be with Cyrus, as the pair were spotted jet skiing.

Various sources are reporting that Miley Cyrus has broken up with Justin Gaston... possibly for Nick Jonas!

Both E! Online and Us Weekly have quoted insiders that claim the pair called it quits on Saturday, the same day each posted sad Twitter messages regarding the relationship.

As the young Hannah Montana heads to Los Angeles for two months to shoot a new movie, a friend says Miley simply ran out of time for the 20-year old underwear model.

"They have been having trouble for a while," said the source. "It's been hard for a long time since Miley has been working so much and traveling a lot."

But isn't a good, hot, Bible-toting guy worth fighting for? Unless, that is, Cyrus has another waiting in the wings...

For a few weeks, Gaston has complained to friends about his girlfriend's resurrected relationship with Nick Jonas. That gorgeous body was reportedly being eaten up inside by the rekindled friendship.

"She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot, and Justin was cool with it at first, as long as it was just a cool, friendly thing," an insider told E! News. "She didn't cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time."

Adding fuel to this juicy fire? On Saturday, Cyrus posted a mysterious message on her Twitter page:

"I'm in a dark theater 'writing' a song with nick j who is rockin a faded eggplant shirt! :)"

Did Miley just imply - or simply state, really - that she was hooking up with Nick Jonas inside a movie theater?!? Is there any other way to interpret her "writing" reference?

Yes, Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas once dated.

And, yes, the pair was hanging out last week.

But, no, Miley insists, this young couple is NOT back together. How adamant is she over this fact? Just look at how she spelled "stupid" in a recent Twitter post!

"It makes me sad to think that people out there aren't friends with THEIR ex bf, because let me tell u it IS possible," Cyrus wrote on her official Twitter page, referring to talk of a romantic reconciliation with Jonas as a "stupidddd rumor."

Cyrus, of course, is smitten with older boy toy Justin Gaston.

"Justin and Nick are two very amazing people and they both mean so much to me," she wrote. "I love both of them so much, and they are both very dear to my heart. Justin is an amazing person! He can always make me laugh and has a heart of gold."

As for Nick?

"Nick is so lovely. He reaches out to so many people with his music, not only with his talent but with his heart. Our love for music is something that keeps our friendship together and I KNOW NO MATTER [what] he will be my friend forever."
