After months of media speculation, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon confirmed to Access Hollywood what we have pretty much known for months.

“Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!” she said. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”

Mariah said that after months of rumors, she finally had to speak out.

Congratulations to the expectant parents!

“At this point, there is no choice. I either talk or I hibernate,” she said.

In the interview, which will air today, Mariah and Nick spoke candidly about their journey together, which included a terrifying miscarriage two years ago.

Mariah and Nick revealed they were getting ready to tell their friends and family the good news that they were expecting over the holidays at that time.

Until she realized they were longer pregnant.

The rumor started a few weeks ago and hasn't been silenced since: is Mariah Carey pregnant?

With questions circulating - and a baby bump clearly growing - the singer addressed the issue directly on her website this week. Sort of. She simply wrote: “I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious. When the time is right, everyone will know."

In other words: shhhh, don't tell anyone. But you can start knitting baby clothes for Mariah and Nick Cannon.

The America's Got Talent host is equally mum on the topic.

On his radio show Monday, Cannon told listeners: "I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again: when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her."

And when that day comes, THG will offer up our heartiest congratulations to the couple!

If nothing else, it will be an interesting test for this celebrity gossip source's credibility, as it seems to specialize in vague non-stories one can't disprove.

Bombs like these aren't often dropped as fact, so if Mariah and/or Khloe aren't actually with child, then you'll know how to evaluate Radar from now on.

In any case, the 40-year-old singer recently dropped out of her next film gig, fueling rumors that she's pregnant. Now Radar's source says it's for real.

Has Mariah Carey (March 2010 and July 2009) gained weight of late?

“They’re both very excited and very happy,” dished an insider of Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon, who recently renewed their wedding vows.

Mariah’s longtime rep Cindi Berger offered a somewhat cryptic non-denial, saying: “I’m not at liberty to discuss Mariah’s personal life at this time.”

The alleged inside source says that it's the stars' plan to keep it on the DL: “Mariah and Nick want to keep the pregnancy quiet as long as they can."

Speculation has run rampant about the impending baby since Mariah Carey was spotted with Nick outside an Los Angeles medical clinic in May.

Some suggested the singer had begun hormone enhancement therapy and/or IVF; a possible explanation for a noticeable, sudden weight gain.

Congratulations are certainly in order for Mariah and Nick if this turns out to be true, but we're still a little cautious. Stay tuned for more details.

On April 30, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will get married. For the third time.

The first, official ceremony took place in early 2008, and the pair plan on getting married "every year," Nick Cannon told Us Weekly.

"That's our thing," he said.

"It's going to be our third wedding this year," he added. "That's what we'll be doing on the actual [anniversary]...We'll do something...A party or event, just to celebrate."

That seems a little self-serving and egocentric - but, hey, whatever makes the marriage last! At least Cannon isn't banging Las Vegas cocktail waitresses in his spare time.

He'll be too busy shopping for yet another diamond ring to do much of anything, Cannon joked. He confirmed that he gets his wife more bling every year.

"This is the third ring I have to buy... It’ll be something different. Something good."

In the end, it was an eventful Academy Awards for all in attendance and all that watched last night. The four celebrities below fit into both those categories, as none of them were nominated for any awards.

"Mariah and Nick are thrilled at the prospect of finally starting a family together," a source told The National Enquirer. "Mariah feels incredibly blessed to have a solid marriage and a soaring career - but now her primary goal is motherhood."

And to show off her cleavage as much as humanly possible.

These same insiders say both sides have made their New Year's resolution to have a baby in 2010... by any means possible.

"If they don't conceive naturally, then Mariah and Nick are ready to adopt," said a friend. "They have lined up several potential adoption agencies."

Rumors circulated in early 2009 that said the Grammy-winning artist suffered a miscarriage scare, but those weren't confirmed. When asked in October whether she was ready for kids, Mariah emphatically replied:

"We definitely want a family."

In what is probably a good move for him, but a bad one for celebrity gossip sites who love a good feud, Nick Cannon took to (what else) his Twitter page to address the ongoing battle between his wife Mariah Carey and rapper Eminem.

Cannon Twittered various philosophical, Biblical quotes about rising above anger and not giving in to revenge: "Never take your own revenge, but rather give place unto the wrath," read one of his messages on the social networking site.

He also included a direct Bible quote, "'I will bless those that bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.' Genesis 12:3" and insightful thoughts like:

"Those who feed into negativity must examine there [sic] purpose on this earth."

Eminem vs. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Cannon: A feud that shall not end.

The Tweets are a reaction to Eminem's latest track, "The Warning," in which the rapper goes after the Cannons directly, and swears he had a previous relationship with the singer, with the nude Mariah Carey pictures to prove it even.

Eminem initially ripped Carey in the song "Bagpipes from Baghdad." Carey got revenge by portraying a stalker in her video "Obsessed" that looked remarkably like Eminem, though Carey and her husband have denied any parody.

Whose side are you on?

Eminem has once again gone back to the seemingly endless well of celebrity disses and pulled out a new diatribe directed at Mr. and Mrs. Nick Cannon.

The reason (not that he's ever needed one) - he's firing back at Mariah Carey's recent Slim Shady-channeling video for her single, "Obsession."

In "The Warning," Eminem raps:

"I got the exact same tattoo that's on Nick's back, I'm obsessed now, oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?"

He goes on to gloat about the time Mariah "was wild 'n' out before Nick" and when he himself gave Carey "somethin' to smile about." Wow.

This all started, we think, because Carey has made light of her reported relationship with Eminem back in 2001, and the rapper is clearly pissed.

Eminem gave Carey a shout-out in his recent tune "Bagpipes From Baghdad," which included a pointed suggestion to Cannon to "back the f*%k up."

Cannon responded in May that "homeboy is still obsessed with my wife."

A few days later, Eminem implied to listeners of the satellite radio show he was hosting that he had once urinated on the superstar. On purpose.

Back to Team Cannon. Earlier this year, Carey dressed up like Eminem and poked no small amount of fun at him in her music video for "Obsessed."

Which brings us to "The Warning," in which Eminem scaldingly raps:

"You probably think if I had something on you I woulda did it by now, on the contrary, Mary Poppins, I'm mixing our studio session down and sending it off to mastering to make it loud, enough dirt on you to murder you, this is what the f--k I do..."

"Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?"

Oh, boy. "But if I'm embarrassing me, I'm embarrassing you and don't you dare say it isn't true," he continues later in the track.

"As long as the song's getting airplay I'm dissing you, I'm a hair away from getting carried away and getting sued, I was gonna stop at 16, this is 32, this is 34 bars, we ain't even a third of the way through."

Bottom line? Don't expect to outlast Eminem in a feud.

Whose side are you on?

On second thought, even Eminem admits he may have made a mistake when he referred to Mariah Carey as a "whore" in the single "Bagpipes from Baghdad."

Following a challenge thrown down by Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, Eminem told British DJ Tim Westwood:

With the song “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” there’s a line on there, I mean, I kinda spazzed out on that record but I guess I spazzed out on every record. There’s a line on there that was a little harsh, you know, it’s a harsh line… but you know man, the way I look at it, I said it, I had no idea he was going to take it like he took it.

I had no idea Nick Cannon was gonna start wildin’ out on me. No pun intended. I heard about some of the things he was saying, I didn’t read his blog or anything. It is what it is, he’s supposed to defend his wife. I expected him to do that. But at the end of the day, it’s a line I said, but I meant to say is I wish them the best.
