Aaron Carter claims he received a beatdown from four hardcore New Kids on the Block fans while out to dinner in Boston this weekend ... seriously.

It wasn't a coincidence, either. This was full-on boy band turf war style justice.

Aaron Carter Beat Up

Carter was leaving dinner in the city, he says, when a man yelled out, "I heard you’re doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids."

Aaron claims that three other guys then jumped out of a gold Chevy Malibu and started roughing him up, including a pretty serious blow to the face.

Jonathan Knight took to his website yesterday and revealed something that leaves us less shocked than we'll be when Jesse James and Kat Von D file for divorce in a couple months:

He's gay.

The topic of this singer's sexuality came up this month because former pop star Tiffany went on Bravo and said she did once date a member of New Kids on the Block, the guy "who became gay later."

Jonathan Knight

Knight said he doesn't blame Tiffany at all for that slip-up and added:

"I have never been outed by anyone but myself! I did so almost twenty years ago. I never knew that I would have to do it all over again publicly just because I reunited with NKOTB! I have lived my life very openly and have never hidden the fact that I am gay!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck hates abortions. And big government. And poor people.

But the conservative co-host of The View has love for at least one thing: boy band New Kids on the Block.

Why couldn't they bring back The Thundercats instead? Or maybe snap bracelets?

We'll let you know if either of those staples from the 1980s becomes mainstream again - but, for now, it appears as though we're simply stuck with a comeback attempt by the New Kids On The Block.

After 14 years away from the spotlight, the original boy band has pretty much confirmed that it's set to return: the group has released a new ballad on its official website. Check it out now and let us know what you think.

The song plays over a promotional video for the band that says the New Kids On The Block once had it all â€" a $1 billion in album sales, millions of fans, music that "influenced a generation" â€" but then "walked away from it all."

The video next teases the a comeback, asking: "Are you ready?"

We're somehow guessing, though, that our response won't change a thing. These guys have been Hangin Tough for too long to go away now.
