A man was arrested Thursday after allegedly charging a motorcade carrying former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, the U.S. Secret Service said.

No, it wasn't Romney Face Tattoo Guy ... just a random crazy guy.

Romney Heckler

Romney was making his arrival to the White House for lunch with President Obama when an unidentified man charged his car (before being quickly dealt with).

Secret Service spokesman Max Milien said that the guy was standing near a security entrance to the White House and briefly got in the motorcade's way.

Mitt Romney can still enjoy a nice silver lining following his loss in the 2012 presidential election, brags adviser Stuart Stevens, who feels the Republican won where it counts.

Seriously, this isn't an Onion article ... these are real quotes.

Stevens penned an op-ed in the Washington Post today arguing that by winning wealthier and whiter voters, Romney secured a huge moral victory over Obama.

"On November 6, Mitt Romney carried the majority of every economic group except those with less than $50,000 a year in household income," Stevens wrote.

President Barack Obama has invited vanquished rival Mitt Romney to lunch at the White House on Thursday. The food should be first-rate. The conversation?

Obama and Romney

Exchanging substantive and constructive ideas isn't really the point, of course; both parties likely just want a post-2012 election public burying of animosities.

White House spokesman Jay Carney announced the meal Wednesday in a statement: “It will be the first opportunity they have had to visit since the election.”

There will be no press coverage, of course.

Happy Thanksgiving to all from The Hollywood Gossip!

What would this holiday be without family, food, football and reflection upon the things we appreciate most ... in the case of THG, that means turkeys of a different sort.

On this 22nd of November, we're paying tribute to stars we had the honor and the burden of covering in 2012. We are talking fowl individuals here ... real bird brains.

Without further ado, THG's Top 10 Turkeys of 2012 ...

Spencer Pratt is a Turkey

Who will win the Sixth Annual Spencer Pratt Thanksgiving Turkey Award!?

10. Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden (tie). One's a relentless fame whore married to a man three times her age. The other cost himself a good shot at the presidency thanks to 47 percent-style gaffes and never deciding what kind of candidate he felt like being. Really, we just wanted to make web history with the first-ever use of Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden in the same sentence.

Save for a controversial remark about President Obama giving gifts to ethnic groups in return for votes, Mitt Romney has kept a low profile since losing the 2012 election.

Monday, a photo of Romney filling up at a gas station in La Jolla, Calif., was posted on Reddit. He appears slightly frazzled ... and/or just a little annoyed:

"Mitt Romney at my local gas station," Reddit user mkb95 wrote. "He looks tired and washed up."

Newt Gingrich is weighing in on Mitt Romney's controversial comment that President Barack Obama won reelection by promising "gifts" to young and minority voters.

The former U.S. House Speaker, who battled Romney for the Republican nomination this year, pointedly criticized that assertion on two different grounds.

Said Gingrich on PBS:

“I’m very disappointed with Governor Romney’s analysis, which I believe is insulting and profoundly wrong. First of all, we didn’t lose Asian-Americans because they got any gifts."

Mitt Romney was on the wrong end of the 2012 presidential election results.

Now, adding insult to injury, his Facebook numbers are dropping like mad.

Mitt Picture

A new site, DisappearingRomney (dot) com, tracks the GOP candidate's bleeding of "Likes" on the social media site - which once topped 800 per hour - in real time.

Two graphs, “Recent Like Count For Mitt Romney” and “Real Time Like Count for Mitt Romney,” illustrate Romney's downward trajectory as it happens.

12,041,819 people like Mitt Romney. Wait, 12,041,814 ... 12,041,811 ...

President Barack Obama is a kind of a big deal in Kenya.

He was, after all, born there ... if you ask Ted Nugent.

In all seriousness, the recently reelected, Hawaiian-born Obama is half-Kenyan, as his father, the late Barack Obama Sr., was born and buried in East Africa.

His ties run deep, and Tuesday, Millicent Awuor was so inspired that she named her newborn son Barack Obama ... and his twin, born minutes later, Mitt Romney.

Obama, Romney Twins

"I named the first twin Barack and the second one Mitt," Awuor says of her bipartisan approach.

Still, she "stayed up all night and danced with joy" when she learned the 2012 election results.

Stacey Dash has gone off on an unreal post-election diatribe lamenting Mitt Romney's defeat.

Unlike Victoria Jackson and Donald Trump, though, she makes some semblance of sense.

In fact, the Clueless star expressed disappointment with Romney losing, but made it clear this was NOT the same as bashing President Barack Obama.

"He's brilliant, understated, ethical, a great husband and father," she wrote of Obama, calling him "one of the greatest leaders this United States of America has ever known."

"People get it wrong. My vote for Romney isn't a vote against Obama."

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney conceded the 2012 election and congratulated victorious President Barack Obama in a brief speech early this morning.

The former Massachusetts governor ended his political career with kind words for his own family and Obama's, while advocating for the end of divisive partisanship:

Romney made 2012 a real race by closing strong in the last month, but Obama won four more years with a series of key wins in battleground states Tuesday evening.

In his concession speech, Romney seemed at peace with the outcome.
