For those that are still celebrating the death of Marissa on The OC, Mischa Barton is out for revenge.

The mediocre, incredibly thin actress is returning to the small screen this fall. She'll star on The Beautiful Life, a new CW series airing on Wednesday nights and produced by Ashton Kutcher.

The drama focuses on series of male and female models, all of whom share an apartment in New York City. It's like a reality show come to scripted life!

The Beautiful Life also marks the television show debut of Corbin Bleu. The High School Musical actor is featured in the full cast photo below:

** Update: We've been told the pics above are actually of actress Sara Paxton, NOT Mischa Barton. Our bad. Still, everything else is true: Barton and Bleu will be starring in this new series.

We aren't even gonna call the fashion police on Mischa Barton for the following accessory.

We're just gonna make a citizen's arrest and send the thin actress straight to jail.

In the following photograph, it looks like a bird carcass dropped from the sky and landed on Barton's head.

The only thing distracting our staff from the ridiculous hat is the equally ridiculous-looking dude with his arm around Mischa. Is this her new boyfriend, British comedian Noel Fielding?

Turns out Shenae Grimes and Mischa Barton have more in common than just poor acting skills and a passion for anorexia.

The 90210 actress and former star of The OC were recently spotted out in the same dress.

Fortunately, neither was turned sideways, so we can see both celebs and vote on which looks better in this outfit:

Mischa Barton gets naked in the May 2009 issue of Great Britain's Cosmopolitan.

Fortunately, the actress isn't turned sideways in the photo, making it possible to actually see her and her birthday suit.

Anorexic jokes aside (just for a moment, don't worry. See below.), Barton actually looks decent in these pictures. They appear to reflect her new self-confidence.

"I’m happy now. I wouldn’t change my body, and I couldn’t anyway," she says in the magazine. "The only way to be happy and be a more enjoyable person to be around is to embrace what you’ve got. Everyone has issues about their body, but I feel confident now. I’m healthy and happy.”

Barton added: "Surely there are more important issues than if someone has cellulite?"

Kim Kardashian would agree... but cellulite, Mischa?!? That was never exactly your problem.

Weighing more than a few pieces of pocket lint was really the issue.

So Mischa Barton may not be palling around with Ashlee Simpson-Wentz on The CW's Melrose Place this upcoming pilot season, but rumor has it her new TV project will nevertheless boast a hot young co-star with a musical background.

The network confirms that High School Musical star Corbin Bleu has been cast in Ashton Kutcher's A Beautiful Life as a male model with a Lenny Kravitz-type vibe.

Bleu is not signed as a series regular, but will appear in the pilot. Hopefully his character encourages Mischa's to eat the occasional cheeseburger. Girl's quite thin.

YOUNG HOTTIES: These two will potentially co-star on A Beautiful Life.

Other peeps involved: Sara Paxton (The Last House on the Left), Benjamin Hollingsworth (The Cutting Edge 3), Ashley Madekwe (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and Nico Tortorella. Throw in Mischa and Corbin Bleu and you've basically got an all-star cast.

Smart move on The CW's part to try to draw the High School Musical crowd by inking one of its stars. But can A Beautiful Life become a hit like 90210 or potentially Melrose - or is the network spread too thin with those, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl?

Mischa Barton will be eating meals of iceberg lettuce by herself now.

The actress and singer Luke Pritchard have called it quits, following a three-month relationship.

"I'm sure you guys are all going to hear about it soon enough so I just wanted to tell you what is real first - I broke up with Luke when I got to London," Barton blogged yesterday. "Things just didn't feel quite right. There was no cheating or anything terrible, the bad just started to outweigh the good and a long distance relationship is never an easy thing to do."

The lead singer of The Kooks was magnanimous in his statement, as well.

"I'm very lucky. She's beautiful, so I feel lucky she decided to go out with someone like me. It came about because we have lots of friends in common and kept going to the same parties."

Mischa Barton claims she is "happier and healthier" than ever, despite photographic evidence that makes it difficult to tell the actress apart from a skeleton.

On her most recent blog entry, the former star of The OC writes: "Things are really well in Mischa world and I've just been watching what I eat."

Perhaps that's the problem, Mischa. You are supposed to chew and swallow your food, not just stare at it.

Barton added a message to readers, writing: "To my female fans: Just be happy and secure with yourself and don't let other people's perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life."

Males, however? Feel free to let other people's perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life.

In closing, the awful actress complained about recent media scrutiny: "One minute, I'm too fat, the next I'm too skinny. [The press] is always looking to start rumors and create drama."

After all, the lead singer of English rock group The Kooks was spotted out in Kilburn this week at The Good Ship comedy club. He was canoodling with miniscule actress Mischa Barton.

“They couldn’t keep their hands off each other," said a witness. "They missed most of the comedians and were starting to annoy some of the other drinkers who were trying to listen to the acts on stage. They seem very into each other — there is certainly a lot of physical attraction."

And, hey, think of all the money Pritchard saves by never needing to take his new girlfriend out for a meal.
