For Miley Cyrus, in the following video, the foam finger is on the other hand.

A 17-year old Arcadia High School student named Matt Peterson - who met Cyrus during a radio show in 2009 and who was also called out by the singer during a subsequent Arizona tour stop - is asking a very important question of the star:

Will you go to the prom with me?

"I have been a fan of yours from the beginning," Peterson wrote along with the video. "You've changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life."

He also sweetened the deal by going all Wrecking Ball on Miley, birthday suit and phony enlarged hand included:

This isn't the first time a young man has asked a famous female to be his prom date.

We always knew there was a resemblance, but wow. Just ... wow.

This hilarious, seizure-inducing GIF of the Justin Bieber mug shot morphing into Miley Cyrus' face might be the best thing to come out of this week's scandal.

Maybe it's just that the photos are similarly proportioned or that both stars appear super happy in them ... but these two young ladies look an awful lot alike:

Justin Bieber-Miley Cyrus GIF

Look at those piercing eyes, those million-dollar smiles and those awkward hairstyles. It's as if they were two identical twin girls switched at birth. Uncanny.

Ironically, given the way people treat her like the anti-christ, Miley Cyrus has managed to stay out of jail and (relatively) scandal free in her personal life.

Her song "We Can't Stop" is about taking Molly, and for that she's been criticized plenty, but there's little to suggest that she has substance abuse issues.

Or any other issues. Say what you will about her "art" or the example she sets, but when was the last time Miley got in trouble? That's right. Hasn't happened.

Justin, on the other hand ...

Oh, the hilarious humanity.

With all due respect to this Kelly Clarkson Christmas card and this Mena Suvari Christmas card, the Bocks have won the 2013 holiday season.

This family has sent out a video card for the occasion, remixing Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" with lyrics about drinking eggnog and other late-year traditions, all while swaying awkwardly and wearing hideous sweaters.

A tambourine even makes an appearance.

It's all as amazing as it sounds and you simply must stop what you are doing and watch the antics now:

Miley Cyrus is not endearing herself to Beliebers these days.

In late September, the 20-year old said she acts as a mentor to Justin Bieber because the singer is sort of immature and may end up like Vanilla Ice.

Now, Cyrus is sort of taking another jab at Bieber, taking part in a parody video for Capital FM that pokes fun at the recent viral footage of Justin sleeping in Brazil:

We now know that the video being mocked was filmed by Tatiana Neves Barbosa.

The 26-year old has come out and denied all talk that she's a prostitute... although not all talk that she slept with Bieber.

Neves, in fact, says Bieber is good in bed and he's well-endowed. So there you have it, folks. Looks like Justin gets the last laugh - among other noises - in this case.

Miley Cyrus has already ruined the memories of Hannah Montana for most fans.

That's what happens when the former Disney Channel star cuts her hair... Twerks up a storm... lights up on stage... and treats most layers of clothing as if they're optional.

But now Miley has gone ahead and permanently scarred our childhood recollections of many other Disney characters as well. Or Michele Moricci has done so, to be specific.

The artist was commissioned by Cosmopolitan to recreate a trio of iconic princesses as Miley in her many recent incantations, from riding a wrecking ball naked to wearing a onesie to backing her backside up.

It's seriously disturbing stuff.

We'll never look at Belle, Cinderella or The Little Mermaid the same way ever again. Follow the link to enlarge images of all three ...

The U.S. government has been shutdown, as Congress could not reach a funding agreement last night and over 800,000 workers stayed home today as a result, forced into furloughs by the maneuver.

Moreover, countless parks and tourist attractions around the nation have been closed, costing states millions of dollars and citizens hours of enjoyment.

We're not saying we're in favor of the situation, which is sadly symbolic of the utter gridlock in Washington these days, but due to the following video… let's just say we mind it a lot less.

With many blaming House Speaker John Boehner and his refusal to budge on measures that would hamper Obamacare for the shutdown, a genius Internet user has super-imposed the politician's face on Miley Cyrus' body in the latest, greatest Wrecking Ball parody.

Get it? Because Boehner came in like a wrecking ball, clawed and chained and just wanted to break the walls of the administration? Watch and try not to burst out laughing now:

Miley Cyrus is facing her share of criticism these days.

But if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then no artist alive is more beloved than this controversial 20-year-old who never ceases to push the envelope.

Since its release just a few weeks ago, Miley Cyrus' video for "Wrecking Ball" has been covered and parodied, mocked and admired around the clock

From a girl named Rumer to a hedgehog named Regina, watch the following videos for the finest and the funniest versions of Cyrus' global sensation:

Sonic, you've got nothing on Regina.

In an amazing video making its way around the Web, this hedgehog mocks the Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball" video by holding a hammer and lying underneath a swinging apparatus and...

... what else do you need to know? A hedgehog is making like Miley Cyrus in the video for "Wrecking Ball!" Watch footage from the parody now:

Earlier this month, students at Grand Valley State also recreated this video, much to the chagrin of university officials and the pleasure of the Internet.

The campus wrecking ball has since been removed and students have protested in response.

Let's hope the same fate does not befall pudgy little Regina.

Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" music video was recreated using a pendulum statue at Grand Valley State, which was not happy with its students' antics.

The Allendale, Mich., college boasts a pendulum statue comprised of a 42-inch steel ball hanging on a 50-foot cable. It's one serious "Wrecking Ball."

Used by numerous drunk students to produce naked Vines.

This got so bad that the school intervened. The campus landmark, which has been up for years, has since been taken down. According to reports:

"After several naked Vine videos imitating Miley Cyrus, Grand Valley State University has taken down the pendulum structure better known as the GV Wrecking Ball."

Klingons? Captain James T. Kirk knows how to deal with those.

But a Twerking Miley Cyrus? Using a foam finger as a penis? Dancing all up on Robin Thicke in flesh-colored underwear? The Star Trek Enterprise skipper and his crew are at a loss.

In one of the best Internet uses we've seen in awhile, someone has cobbled together clips of Miley's VMA performance with Kirk and company aboard this iconic vessel, trying to decipher what is going on and what can be done about it.

Which is pretty much how we all feel about the routine, isn't it? Watch and laugh now:
