Might the next Miley Cyrus scandal be upon us?

A couple weeks after a video of the singer smoking out of a bong surfaced, new Twit pics have circulated online. It's unclear when these were taken, but click on each for a larger version:

Are these images especially lewd? No. We can even hear the Miley defenders already: all teenagers take photos such as this! What's the big deal?!? Leave her alone!

But at some point Miley has to realize she's a public figure and has to act in a more responsible manner. Is it really too much to ask for her to refrain from snapping such pictures? We get it. She's 18. She's branching out. She's maturing.

Let's just hope this urge to continually make such points doesn't result in any truly regrettable actions on Miley's part.

The Internet might be buzzing over it, Bill O'Reilly might be spewing insults regarding it and two THG columnists might be debating the reaction to it, but there's one person unfazed by the video of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong.

That person is Miley Cyrus.

A friend tells TMZ that Miley is shooting So Undercover in New Orleans and "doesn't care" about the scandal: "She's filming her movie and getting on with her life."

In a still shot from this widely-circulated video, Miley Cyrus lights one up.

However, Cyrus may need to release some kind of statement in the near future, as reaction continues to pour in.

Former child actress Melissa Gilbert, for example, thinks Miley herself is the one who released the video, seemingly to continue proving she's no longer the innocent star of Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus is not the only young woman to be receiving flak these days for the widely-circulated video of her smoking salvia.

A girl named Anna Oliver has been identified as the person behind the camera. While it remains unclear just how the tape got out, multiple sources say Oliver filmed Miley getting high off a bong at her 18th birthday party last month.

In response to this video's leak, Oliver's Twitter account has been bombarded with insults and Tweets. Among the most disturbing:

• What would you do if you met Anna Oliver? -- Probably kick her teeth in.
• Anna Oliver.....I HATE YOU.
• We should find Anna Oliver and feed her to the lions!.
• Dear Anna Oliver, I know you want to be a little fame whore, but you're not good at it. We hate your guts. Love, EVERYONE.

Oliver has since shut down her Twitter, and we have a message for all Miley supporters that are giving her a hard time: Cyrus knew she was being filmed at the time of the inhaling. She's responsible for her own behavior.

We hate to quote Bill O'Reilly, but going after Oliver is just pathetic.

The newly released video of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong full of salvia has critics of that singer fired up and fans of the singer concerned for her well-being.

It also has Anthony Adams shaking his head.

A former California State Assemblyman, Adams tried passing 2007 legislation that would outlaw the herb and place it in the same classification as controlled substances such as LSD. The bill was voted down, however, and Adams settled for a restriction of selling salvia to minors.

As evidenced by Miley's loopy behavior above, Adams tells TMZ salvia can make "you do incredibly crazy things," adding: "Miley is a star and young kids are going to emulate her behavior."

That's why he's hoping to use this incident to bring back his failed bill, saying: "It's time for state and federal governments to renew their push toward an outright ban."

At Miley Cyrus' 18th birthday party last month, the singer was spotted making out with Avan Jogia.

But the slight stir that action created is nothing compared to how some might react to the following video.

Shot by a friend, it depicts the singer taking hits off a salvia-filled bong. It should be noted that possession of this herb is legal in California, but it contains psychedelic qualities - as evidenced here by Miley's reaction to a club goer that resembles Liam Hemsworth:

Says a pal at one point to Cyrus: "You need to do more. You're not as f-cked up as you should be."

We beg to differ. Without passing judgment on Miley, it's clear she's totally lost it in this video.

In the wake of last week's (fake) nude photo scandal, December hasn't been the most PR-friendly month for this star.

Rumors of an affair between Tish Cyrus and Bret Michaels have faded away, as both side immediately shot down this silly talk.

But The National Enquirer has come out with a new basis for Tish's recent divorce from husband Billy Ray, a split that could find the ex-couple battling over close to $100 million.

Billy Ray looked cool and collected at the CMAs this week. But that was apparently not the case last month.

The break-up is allegedly the result of a furious fight between the pair, as the tabloid claims Billy Ray grounded Miley Cyrus for talking back to him.

Tish intervened, reportedly undermined her husband - and the result was a rage-filled Billy Ray trying to knock down his wife's bedroom door out of anger for her actions.

Us Weekly drops a bombshell in its latest issue: the parents of Miley Cyrus got divorced because Tish Cyrus had an affair - with Bret Michaels!

Sources tell the tabloid that the rocker "got close to the entire family" in February, around the time he and Miley recorded their racy duet, "Nothing to Lose."

Tish, who serves as Miley's manager, was spotted at the Michaels' February 28 concert in Los Angeles, adds an insider, who says: "Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on."

Eventually, the country singer reportedly found out and filed for divorce from his wife of 17 years. He is seeking joint custody of their three children.

Reps for both Michaels and Tish deny this story, but Us Weekly stands by its family source, concluding: "It was a professional relationship that turned into something more."

Earlier today, Miley Cyrus sent a message to the world: I am not a slut.

Now, Perez Hilton has a message of his own: I am not a distributor of child pornography!

The latter statement is needed because the self-absorbed, immature celebrity gossip blogger has been accused of Tweeting an uncensored photo of Miley's crotch.

In an insincere, lame video on his website today, Perez said: "Do you think I'm stupid enough to post a photo of Miley if she's not wearing any underwear down there? No! Sure I like to seem controversial, but I don't want to go to jail."

He then published the following circled photo, which depicts Miley in the same outfit as she wore in the original, scandalous picture (below, left) and supposedly proves she was wearing underwear all along:

None of this changes the fact that Hilton is an absolute tool. He offers nothing interesting or creative on his blog, relying on such pathetic gimmicks as upskirt shots and penis drawings to get attention.

At this point, there's no real chance of Perez receiving any legal punishment, although a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney told Salon.com that it was "suicidal" for the blogger to distribute the image.

"We're not talking about a misdemeanor," Jeffrey Douglas said. "You don't have to know what the definition of the law is; all you have to do is knowingly distribute the photograph."

If you're curious about the definition of douche bag, by the way, don't bother opening up a dictionary. Just find a photo of Perez Hilton.

Seriously, Miley Cyrus?!?

We know the singer believes she's celebrity royalty, but was no one around this week to inform the self-obsessed star that there are proper - and improper, as Miley proved - ways to dress in front of actual royalty?

Cyrus and Lady Gaga were two of the American singers chosen to meet the Queen of England at yesterday's Royal Variety Awards in London. While the latter celeb actually donned appropriate attire for the occasion, Miley treated the honor like a night  of club-hopping.

As you take a look at the outfits Cyrus wore to greet Queen Elizabeth II at the event and to perform in front of her, try not to injure your jaw when it drops to the ground...

London's Daily Mail referred to Miley's leather hotpants and crop top as the "daring outfit of the night."
