Miley Cyrus may have her detractors - from Bill O'Reilly to yours truly - but there's one person on whom the troubled star can count: Kelly Osbourne.

On location in New Orleans these days, filming So Undercover with the salvia-loving actress, Osbourne has a message for critics of Cyrus: back off!

"Miley and I have become really close," Osbourne Tweeted last night. "I'm sick of all the haters judging her."

Kelly Osbourne and Miley Cyrus

Kelly Osbourne is securely on Team Miley. Are you?

Hey, in defense of "haters," they wouldn't be living up to their label if they weren't critical, would they?

Alluding to the infamous bong video, Osbourne defends her pal by calling it "one mistake," adding:

"Trust me she has learned her lesson! This really makes me mad. Miley is one of the most hard working respectful women I have ever worked with I am learning a lot from her!"

What bong controversy? Girlfriend is SO over it.

It's ALL GOOD for Miley Cyrus as she shoots So Undercover in New Orleans, La. She's reportedly been working hard ... but even workaholics need a break.

Donning Pants!

Miles may be "all business" during filming, but off the set, she was spotted stopping into a tattoo parlor for some fresh, new body ink this weekend.

Miley Cyrus holds court with a group of supporters.

The 18-year-old hit  Saks Fifth Avenue with makeup artist Denika Bedrossian for some retail therapy. She was all smiles, snapping photos with local fans.

An E! source reports that Cyrus "could not have been any nicer to us or more down to earth. She was just like any normal girl shopping with her friend."

Later that night, the singer partied with fans and someone shot another Miley bong video. Kidding. But she did get matching tattoos with Bedrossian.

Sources say both were sporting small bandages on the top of their hands near their middle fingers. Perfect to show off while flipping off the haters.

Another day, another couple of reactions to the Miley Cyrus bong smoking video.

First, Saturday Night Live spoofed the singer and her most recent scandal via a new edition of that programs Miley Cyrus Show.

Elsewhere, actress Mila Kunis appeared on Lopez Tonight late last week and was asked about the singer's scandalous actions. Kunis didn't seem to care, but she did have the following opinion on the incident:

"She was smoking some weed! Come on, now; that was not no legal [substance]!"

Do you agree? Do you buy the story that Miley was actually smoking salvia?

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then a couple THG favorites should be feeling very good about themselves today.

Over the weekend, Saturday Night Live dedicated a pair of skits to Miley Cyrus and the Kardashian sisters. First, we were treated to the third edition of The Miley Cyrus Show.

This time, the guest was Nick Nolte and the topic was Miley's scandalous smoking of salvia. Watch now, as cast member Vanessa Bayer plays Miley in a spoof that, you must admit, is pretty cool:

Then, to close the final SNL of 2010, the series brought out the Kardashian sisters for a holiday message. We're grateful to Kim, Khloe and Kourtney for taking time away from whatever it is they do and we present the video below.

While the celebrity gossip world continues to debate Miley Cyrus and her smoking of salvia - Bill O'Reilly finds it "pathetic," Dr. Drew says she needs help and Melissa Gilbert thinks Miley leaked the video herself - what is the 18-year old at the center of this controversy up to?

Work.

Miley is in New Orleans shooting So Undercover, a film that will find her infiltrating a college sorority as a FBI-hired investigator. Sources tell E! News that Cyrus received a surprising visitor on set the other day.

Anna Oliver, the friend who reportedly filmed the video above, paid her pal a visit. They got along okay, but "then Miley told her she had to go back home because she needs to focus on the movie," an insider said.

Overall, how is Cyrus coping with the controversy?

The Internet might be buzzing over it, Bill O'Reilly might be spewing insults regarding it and two THG columnists might be debating the reaction to it, but there's one person unfazed by the video of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong.

That person is Miley Cyrus.

A friend tells TMZ that Miley is shooting So Undercover in New Orleans and "doesn't care" about the scandal: "She's filming her movie and getting on with her life."

In a still shot from this widely-circulated video, Miley Cyrus lights one up.

However, Cyrus may need to release some kind of statement in the near future, as reaction continues to pour in.

Former child actress Melissa Gilbert, for example, thinks Miley herself is the one who released the video, seemingly to continue proving she's no longer the innocent star of Hannah Montana.

THG Asks!

Welcome to THG's new feature, in which two of our celebrity gossip experts debate topical issues in the entertainment world and you decide who wrote the winning argument!

Today, THG Asks: Does Miley Cyrus deserve the criticism over her infamous bong video?

YES by Hilton Hater

Legality does not equate to morality. At age 18 and partying in California, no one can argue that Miley Cyrus wasn't within her rights to smoke salvia out of a bong.

But is that the only criteria by which we judge celebrities, whether or not they can get arrested for an act?

Miley isn't stupid. She's aware that cameras follow her around and that her fans are mostly young girls. In exchange for the popularity and money she's earned in her career, is it really too much to ask to refrain from harmful acts in public?

The law isn't the issue here. It's the impression Cyrus gives off. Heck, she could star in an adult film tomorrow and police couldn't do a thing. But would supporters back this decision, as well, simply because Miley isn't violating any laws?

NO by Free Britney

Some people, including my colleague Hilton Hater, have it out for Miley Cyrus. They scrutinize everything she does until they find something to whine about.

Surely Miley could be smarter about some decisions. That makes her no different from any teen. In this case, though her actions were harmless and LEGAL.

What youngster doesn't experiment in their formative years? People quick to bash Miley should look in the mirror, and be thankful she isn't doing much worse.

Just because she's a star doesn't make her a role model 24/7 (parents need to step up if kids really think this), and even if it did, this wouldn't be THAT bad.

The only real question here: How's the view up there, Bill O'Reilly? Like what you see, Dr. Drew? Hilton Hater? Wonder what it's like to sit atop such a high horse.

THG Asks you ... does Miley deserve criticism? Who won this argument?

Miley Cyrus is not the only young woman to be receiving flak these days for the widely-circulated video of her smoking salvia.

A girl named Anna Oliver has been identified as the person behind the camera. While it remains unclear just how the tape got out, multiple sources say Oliver filmed Miley getting high off a bong at her 18th birthday party last month.

In response to this video's leak, Oliver's Twitter account has been bombarded with insults and Tweets. Among the most disturbing:

  • What would you do if you met Anna Oliver? -- Probably kick her teeth in.
  • Anna Oliver.....I HATE YOU.
  • We should find Anna Oliver and feed her to the lions!.
  • Dear Anna Oliver, I know you want to be a little fame whore, but you're not good at it. We hate your guts. Love, EVERYONE.

Oliver has since shut down her Twitter, and we have a message for all Miley supporters that are giving her a hard time: Cyrus knew she was being filmed at the time of the inhaling. She's responsible for her own behavior.

We hate to quote Bill O'Reilly, but going after Oliver is just pathetic.

Reaction to the infamous Miley Cyrus bong video continues to pour in.

Father Billy Ray is sad. Dr. Drew Pinsky thinks the singer should seek help. As for Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly? He takes a more critical, direct approach.

The conservative commentator has one word to describe Cyrus: pathetic. In the video below, he adds: "Her days of being a positive role model for young women are long gone."

Do you agree with this harsh assessment? Is Miley being treated unfairly for making a legal decision? Or, as a major celebrity - aware of her status in the eyes of impressionable fans - should she be held to a higher standard?

by Hilton Hater at . Comments

You won't believe this, but Dr. Drew Pinsky has an opinion on the Miley Cyrus salvia controversy.

Asked by Access Hollywood about the video of that singer smoking a hallucinogenic herb at her 18th birthday party, Dr. Drew cited the divorce of Miley's parents.

“Her family’s in trouble, so it’s not unusual to see depression manifesting as various kinds of acting out behaviors. Adolescents don’t get depressed the way adults do. They don’t get sad and cry and withdraw. They often act out and become irritable... she seems to be suffering.”

Celebrating Herself

Dr. Drew thinks Miley Cyrus should seek help. Preferably on VH1, we'd imagine, in front of a camera and a certain exploitive therapist.

What advice does the Celebrity Rehab host have for Miley?
