@okay: You (like many other people in this world) seem totally ok with the slut label- no matter how sexist, repressive, unfair, or prudish it is. Oh well. I guess not everyone is ready to accept womens' rights. I guess most people think that if a woman shows her sexuality instead of hiding it like it's taboo then the woman is automatically a whore. Let's force women and girls to act virginal and innocent at all times. I guess a human's right to express and explore their sexuality without being condemned by society doesn't matter to anyone yet. Let's get the chastity belts and purity rings. While we're at it, let's force everyone to conform to strict religions that they don't even believe in.

@Okay: Miley Cyrus isn't 17 anymore, she's 18. She has the right to make her own decisions about dressing or dancing sexy without being condemned by society as a slut. I still say it's unfair that the younger pop starlets in america are expected to set a 'better' example than the older pop stars in america. People in their teens shouldn't be held to higher standards than people in their 20's.

Even first lady Michelle Obama called Beyonce a 'great role model' for her daughters. But we all know that Beyonce's art and image are just as sexual as Miley's- sometimes even more so. SHE'S EVEN A FAN OF THEM! This YOUNG WOMAN isn't doing anything abnormal, wrong, or that she doesn't have the right to do. Her contract with disney has expired this year. Enough with the bias. Beyonce, Christina, and Britney dressed and dance provocatively at her age too. They don't get scarlet letter treatment, so neither should she.
