Miley Cirus is employed by Disney, her Hannah vehicle is marketed as a role model for young girls. (I am also surpised Disney has not dumped her, but I think they are more interested in money than quality family entertainment these days.) Miley has a job (OK, so she is not mature enough for it) and she has a responsibility to uphold the values of the employer that pays her a lot of money for her precious little talent. She does not do that and has become a poor representative for the traditional family values of Disney. Before anyone starts, I am not Walt Disney, I did not invent Disney's traditional family values.
Yes, she is "almost 18", but is is not acceptable to do things that, by law, are illegal for children her age to do. Being 17 is

I don't see why people think you can't be a decent role model and still embrace your sexuality. Why does the person's sexuality have to be some dirty, shameful little secret that she hides? Why do teenage girls have to come off as conservatively-dressed and virginal in order to be approved of as role models? Why do they have to they have to act like innocent little girls with no interest in sexuality?
Miley Cyrus is almost 18 years old and she's no longer on Disney Channel, so I don't see why people are STILL being so prudish. There's nothing wrong with her deciding to dress or dance sexy. Other stars who teens watch are sexual, so why cant Miley be sexual without people having a moral panic and labeling her a slut?

Ok, first of all. I have to agree that text speak is tacky and shows a lack of grammatical skill, but not all Miley Cyrus fans are un-educated and work in low-wage jobs. I'm a 30 year old college educated woman, who happens to adore Miley's work and music. Her talent is wired into her DNA, she's the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus for crying outloud. This young woman is going to do very well in life and people who say otherwise are seriously just plain jealous. Hell, if I had her figure I'd flaunt it too.
