@AMLTD: Just because Miley Cyrus's original fanbase was 5-12 year old girls doesn't mean everything she does in life or in her career will be 'appropriate' for 5-12 year old girls. It's unreasonable and naive to expect this young adult Hollywood starlet to stay that way. She's practically an adult and she ADMITS that her newer movies and music videos are not for little kids, they're for people 16 and older. She's targeting an older audience as she grows up, and she's not even doing Disney stuff anymore. She's more sexual now- get over it. People should be used to it by now. She doesn't pretend to be innocent- she said herself that she's not perfect and that she's going to live her life the way SHE wants to live it. Sorry if you're so prudish that you can't handle it.

It's narrow-minded to assume that if a female expresses her sexuality (through art, fashion, dancing, music, etc.)she automatically has no respect for her body or herself. Take Christina Aguilera for example. She proudly admits that she is a very sexual person, and she does get overtly sexual. But at the same time she's confident, has a great singing voice, is not afraid to express her opinion or experiment with different styles, has a passion for music, and gets involved with charity. She was a disney girl to before she came into her own.
