Neil Patrick Harris kicked off his hosting duties for the 2013 Tony Awards Sunday night with an elaborate opening number that featured Mike Tyson. Seriously.

The eight-minute-long act featured musical recaps of nominees such as Kinky Boots, Motown: The Musical, Pippin, Bring It On and Matilda the Musical.

The highlight wasn't the acclaimed plays, or even NPH however. It was boxer-turned-pop-culture-punchline Tyson, who made a cameo at the 3:15 mark:

He didn't do much, but he didn't have to. Tyson's mere presence on stage at the 2013 Tony Awards was enough to get people talking, as it clearly has.

The former world heavyweight champion recently embarked on a touring one-man show that also hit Broadway (seriously), so it did sort of make sense?

Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen have dominated the Scary Movie 5 trailer and teases so far, but Mike Tyson's cameo is creating some decent buzz too.

That's because he spoofs 50 Shades of Grey in it.

Lakiha Spicer has filed suit against a man who has been threatening her well-being via the Internet.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the wife of Mike Tyson says she's been receiving emails that taunt her and her family, adding that the culprit is "extorting" and "making false allegations and accusations" against her.

The defendant is only identified by an IP address.

The NYPD is battling Twitter over the social media company's refusal to release the name of a user who threatened an attack "just like in Aurora."

The user claimed he would attack a Broadway theater where Mike Tyson's one-man show was playing on August 1, describing his plan in detail.

"This s**t ain't no joke yo I'm serious people are gonna die just like in aurora," the user tweeted, claiming he/she would use unlocked exit doors.

The NYPD plans to subpoena Twitter today for the user's identity.

The NYPD Intelligence Division used Twitter's system for emergencies to request the identity of the account holder, but was rebuffed, officials say.

"Twitter turned us down, so we dispatched police to cover the theater while we sought a subpoena to force Twitter to disclose the identity of the account holder," said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne in an emailed statement.

"We take the threat seriously, especially in light of the recent attacks in Wisconsin and Colorado," he said of the threat against the Longacre Theatre.

Alleged shooter Wade Michael Page killed six people Sunday at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis. Page, an Army veteran, was shot dead by police.

During an interview on The Today Show yesterday, the eccentric former boxer appeared with Spike Lee to promote his upcoming one-man show on Broadway. (Really, that's gonna be a thing.)

And the conversation with Ann Curry turned especially odd after Tyson was asked about his vegan diet and replied:

"There was too many prison cells, too many jails, too many lawsuits, too many bankruptcies, too many women, too many venereal diseases, too many everything. I got tired... I really got tired of, you know, like every time a prostitute – I would head back from a trip - I had to sleep with her. I was a prostitute hunter!"

Mike Tyson and wife Lakiha Spicer just got married! Again!

Well, kind of. They pulled a fast one on 150 guests in Vegas on Saturday. Inviting pals to a joint birthday bash, the spouses of two years surprised friends at the M Resort Spa Casino with an elaborate wedding vow renewal.

The former boxing champion and Lakiha Spicer first tied the knot in a quickie Vegas ceremony in 2009. Two years later, they wanted to do it up RIGHT.

After announcing the true nature of the party to guests, Spicer changed from her cocktail dress into a white wedding gown and veil, Page Six reports.

She and Tyson, parents of a six-month-old son named Morocco, then exchanged traditional vows in a Muslim wedding ceremony. And it was magical.

Congratulations (again) to the happy couple!

S. Victor Whitmill claims he created AND copyrighted the tat he affixed to Mike Tyson's face in 2003, and is suing Warner Bros. in federal court.

Whitmill says he's never allowed anyone to use the image and that the studio violated his copyright by using it on a hung over Helms in the film.

In addition to wanting the scenes cut from the film (don't bet on it) Whitmill is also demanding a cash settlement of an undisclosed amount.

No comment yet from Tyson, who remains certifiably nuts for having that design - however artistic - tattooed on his face. His face.

Former boxing great Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer, who got married just a year and a half ago, welcomed their second child, a little boy, on Tuesday.

Lakiha checked into a Las Vegas hospital Monday and gave birth last night.

"Mike and Lakiha are very happy and everyone is doing great," a source close to the fighter says. The pair also have a two-year-old daughter, Milan.

It's unknown what the newborn's name is. The controversial former heavyweight champion has five other kids: Rayna, Amir, Mikey, Miguel, D'Mato.
