Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was arrested at his family's tanning salon in Middletown, N.J., Tuesday. He was charged with simple assault after a fight.

About 2 p.m., police responded to calls reporting an altercation involving Situation at Boca Tanning Club, Middletown Police Det. Lt. Stephen Dollinger said.

The former MTV reality star has posted $500 bail and was released. TMZ reports that the fight was between Sorrentino and his brother Frank.

Mike also has a sweet black eye now. Looks like he lost.

Dollinger said he could not confirm who was involved in the fight, but E! News says a Twitter feud between the pair escalated quickly Tuesday afternoon.

Mike Sorrentino allegedly went to the salon to tell his brother that he was fired, setting off a skirmish, which was not the first eyebrow-raising event there.

On June 2, five employees at the salon filed police reports claiming their paychecks bounced. According to cops, each employee was owed between $100-200.

Jersey Shore star The Situation the target of a federal criminal investigation regarding his cash flow and business dealings, according to a new report.

Under scrutiny are Mike Sorrentino and his companies MPS Entertainment, Situation Productions, GTL Management (seriously) and Situation Nation.

Say WHAT Yo?

Why Sitch has four companies, who can say. But we're guessing they're not reporting / paying taxes on his income (our guess) according to the law.

The exact nature of the crime(s) he is suspected of (or a Person of Interest in) is unclear, but TMZ says it's a felony, and that it's all finance related.

Could he have been getting it in ... the wrong bank accounts?

Subpoenas have been issued to Mike's associates, asking for copies of payments issued to him, copies of checks, any communications, and more.

And we thought Pauly D was having a rough go of it lately. Amanda Markert and her custody drama pale in comparison to the FBI on the problem scale.

The Situation's rep has not commented on the ... situation.

Quite a day for Mike Sorrentino news.

First, The Situation left Jersey Shore for unknown reasons, with no return in sight. Now his managers have just filed a $1 million lawsuit, alleging that they were wrongfully dumped after turning a complete nobody into a megastar.

Gotham NYC Entertainment filed the suit today, claiming Sitch dumped them back in May "due to lack of performance," but legally could not.

Your Shirt is Too Small

According to the lawsuit, he was contractually required to give Gotham 30 days notice and a chance to correct any issues. Gotham claims it got neither.

Therefore, they say, Sorrentino is in breach of contract.

Having managed Situation since the 2009 premiere of Jersey Shore, Gotham claims it not only "discovered" the Staten Island product, but transformed "his career from relative obscurity to become an international celebrity."

Gotham is suing for damages in excess of $1 million.

No comment yet from the reality star's camp, which recently settled a legal dispute - with his own dad. It's also unclear why he bolted the Shore house or whether he'll return. We'll have to stay tuned on both fronts ...

Apparently Jersey Shore drama extends beyond international borders.

Ronnie and The Situation got into a major fist fight with each other last night in Italy, according to TMZ, and based on the post-brawl images, well...

Let's just say someone won and someone lost. And let's just say Sitch was not the winner. Anyone surprised after he's antagonized Ron for years?!

  • Ortiz-Magro
  • Italia

The two arrived separately back to their apartment hours ago, with The Situation showing some red marks across his face and in particular around his left eye.

Ronnie's knuckles were torn up and bleeding.

Details around the fight are still unclear but reports say, astonishingly, that it all began with a blowout argument between Ronnie Magro and Sammi Giancola.

Somehow we're guessing Frank Sorrentino may be quietly smiling after reading this report. Dude had it coming. More details and bloody knuckles to follow ...

For his The Situation wants to stop being exploited by others. Namely his father.

In an effort to get his bigmouth dad, Frank Sorrentino, to stop blabbing about him and his "selfish ways," Sitch filed a suit against Sitch Sr. in a Miami court today.

Wanting his dad to put a sock in it is one thing, but what legal grounds does he have? Frank's website, TheConfrontationSite, infringes on his rights, sayeth Sitch.

Sitch Style

Mike says his dad's hampering him from ... doing whatever it is he does.

According to the docs (filed in Florida since Frank resides in Boca Raton), Mike, who's raking in ca$h with appearances and endorsements, also wants his father to stop attempting to damage his reputation, which he is "actively" trying to do.

Situation, who's seeking unspecified damages for unfair competition and business practices, is asking the Miami federal judge to force his father to STFU ASAP, and prevent him from using Mike's name and likeness. Period.

Last week, Frank went off on Mike, bashing his son for more or less being a sellout and abandoning the Sitch family after he GTL'd his way to stardom.
