It’s difficult to get Republicans and Democrats to agree on anything these days.

But unhappy students across the country have banded together to Tweet pictures of their unappetizing cafeteria food, blaming the First Lady for such disgustingly healthy fare.

The Thanksgiving-themed lunches seen here must comply with the food regulations implemented by the USDA (a limit on calories, fat, sugar and sodium) and supported by Michelle Obama, who has taken on the sweeping issue of childhood obesity.

Hence the hashtag "#ThanksMichelleObama" that accompanies these complaints/photos.

In July, Obama vowed to “fight until the bitter end to make sure that every kid in this country continues to have the best nutrition that they can have."

She didn't direct folks to healthy recipes on Food Fanatic for some reason, but she did get behind an initiative to change the ingredients used in cafeterias around the nation.

Still, we wonder whether or not Obama realized she'd be fighting the kids themselves.

Students in one rural Kentucky county, and their parents, are not what you'd call fans of the healthy school lunches touted by First Lady Michelle Obama.

“They say it tastes like vomit,” said Harlan County Public Schools board member Myra Mosley at last week's meeting, according to The Harlan Daily Enterprise.

M.O. Lunch

New USDA meal regulations implemented under the “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010″ has long been a signature issue for the first lady.

Denizens of Harlan County aren't exactly impressed, however.

Board members claim that have received bevy of complaints that area children are "starving" at lunch and for the remainder of the school day.

Why? The food tastes like arse and there's not enough of it.

On the Tonight Show Monday night, Olympic champion Gabby Douglas revealed how she celebrated her gold medal-winning gymnastics performance.

"I splurged on an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's!" the 16-year-old said ... an answer that was music to the ears of famous fast food lover Jay Leno.

"Egg McMuffin?" the intrigued host said as the program's other guest, fitness and nutrition fanatic Michelle Obama, could only shake her head.

"Gabby, don't encourage him," she joked. "I'm sure it was a whole wheat McMuffin."

Added the First Lady, amid laughter, "You're setting me back, Gabby!"

As First Lady, Obama has advocated for encouraging healthy eating; on her last trip to the Tonight Show, Michelle even got Jay to eat vegetables.

Later during the trio's chat, Leno questioned the gold medalist about her post-Olympics life, and whether or not it's met her expectations so far.
