Creepy Michael David Barrett stalked Erin Andrews last year. He ended up costing ESPN a lot of money in extra security costs for its employee as a result.

Money the network wants back.

ESPN wants the perv who shot the peephole video of Erin Andrews nude to cough up more than $300,000 to help pay for the mess he's caused everyone.

Andrews, a sideline reporter for ESPN and current Dancing with the Stars hopeful, received an unrelated round of death threats earlier this year as well.

DANCING HEAT: Erin Andrews' profile has only grown since.

According to federal documents filed yesterday in California, the network claims they have to cough up a ton of cash to pay for extra security for Andrews.

ESPN also claims they incurred losses "from assisting the government in its investigation" and demands Barrett pay back ALL of the $327,442.27.

Michael David Barrett pleaded guilty to one count of being a dirty individual stalking Andrews last year and began serving a 30-month sentence May 3.

A hearing on the ESPN matter is set for June 7.

"You are a sexual predator, a sexual deviant. They should lock you up."

With these words, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews tore into Michael David Barrett, the stalker who pleaded guilty in December to following her to at least three cities and shooting nude videos of her through hotel peepholes without her consent.

"You violated me and you violated all women," Erin said told the total creep and now convicted stalker, who was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for videotaping her.

The Illinois insurance executive gave a tearful apology for the peephole video of Erin Andrews nude, but it fell upon deaf ears and was harshly rebuked by his victim.

In fact, Andrews urged q judge at the hearing to levy an even harsher sentence against Barrett and said that she now fears for her life every time she enters a hotel.

After the sentencing, she said, "Thirty months isn't enough."

NOT ENOUGH: Erin says the perv's 30-month sentence doled out yesterday is not nearly long enough for his creepy behavior. We find it hard to argue with her there.

Michael Barrett, who has until May 3 to surrender, was ordered to have supervised probation for three years after his release and is prohibited from contacting Erin.

He will not be allowed to stay in a hotel without approval of a probation officer and if he accepts employment somewhere, Andrews will be notified by the court.

You can watch Erin Andrews in less creepy fashion beginning next week, when she joins the cast of Dancing with the Stars. Last week, we sized up her chances.

A man accused of surreptitiously shooting footage of gorgeous ESPN reporter Erin Andrews nude in hotels will plead guilty to interstate stalking and harassment.

He is also guilty of being a pervert and a dirty individual.

Group Challenge

Michael David Barrett originally entered a not guilty plea, but has since decided to cut a deal, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

He could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Erin Andrews' peephole stalker is headed where he belongs.

Barrett was caught after allegedly trying to peddle his Nashville, Tenn., Erin Andrews peephole tape to TMZ. Federal authorities suspected him of stalking Erin.

Sure enough, evidence piled up that he went to at least three hotels in various states and modified peepholes on the doors to shoot his pervy hotel videos.

Enjoy prison, Mike. Five years isn't long enough, creep.

It looks like Michael David Barrett, Erin Andrews' peeping Tom and peephole stalker, is a depraved individual. Who loves posting dirty videos online.

The man who allegedly shot the Erin Andrews nude peephole tape used an alias to upload Peeping Tom videos onto the Internet for all to see.

That alias: "Breastboy."

The FBI served search warrants on Yahoo and Google yesterday, asking the Internet giants to turn over every bit of information about an account associated with the perverted username, which has been linked to his other one, "Handsfouryou."

Cringe. Feds think both are suspect Michael David Barrett.

Erin Andrews is gorgeous. Doesn't mean you can stalk her, though.

One of the major items the FBI wants Yahoo to turn over: a 42-second video entitled, cleverly, "Hot Blonde Out of Shower" uploaded on June 28.

That appeared to be shot through the same type of hotel room peephole that Erin Andrews, an ESPN sideline reporter, fell victim to earlier this year.

The FBI wants the video, along with "all associated messages, sent messages, deleted messages and messages maintained in trash and other folders."

Barrett has already pled not guilty to interstate stalking. Incidentally, the video was viewed 2,956 times and 49 people gave it "favorite" status.

Michael David Barrett, the man who allegedly secretly filmed ESPN reporter Erin Andrews nude in various hotel rooms, stalked her around the U.S. to do so.

That's according to federal investigators building their case against him.

The feds claim that Michael Barrett called seven hotels in Columbus, Ohio from January 28-29, 2008, trying to find out where the reporter would be staying.

After striking gold with a Columbus Hotel, the peephole perv got a room next to hers, altered the door of her room and secretly shot the Erin Andrews tape.

Barrett then got on the Internet to send the Erin Andrews nude video to his email account. Bada bing, you've got yourself some authorized, creepy footage.

Michael Barrett is Erin Andrews' alleged peeping tom.

Fast forward to July. He called 14 hotels in Milwaukee, Wisc., and found where she was staying. Again, he checked in, altered the peephole and shot video.

In September, Barrett called a hotel, located Andrews' reservation, requested a room next door and the next day, altered the peephole and filmed her nude.

The email he sent the video to: handsfouryou@yahoo.com. Eww. He also posted the tape on Google video account, calling it "Erin Andrews Naked Butt."

Classy guy, that Michael Barrett.

Two questions: 1. Does this guy have a job? 2. Why would multiple hotels possibly reveal that a semi-famous guest is staying there, and in what room?!

A statement from Barrett's lawyer reads: "Mr. Barrett would like to express deep regret for the circumstances that caused the issuance of the charges against him today. It is his hope that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible."

He started the day behind bars after being arrested, but Erin Andrews' alleged hotel peephole stalker, Michael David Barrett, was released on bail yesterday.

As he left the facility, we got our first glimpse of the man who accused of clandestinely filming Erin Andrews nude in several Nashville hotel rooms.

Putting a face to the name makes Michael Barrett even more creepy.

He's under house arrest and electronic monitoring as he awaits trial October 23. He can only leave to go to work or the doctor, and can't even go online.

That will likely thwart his uploading of Erin Andrews torrents. Poor.

Below is a photo of him. Fortunately, it was taken in the light of day by a news photographer who didn't have to shoot it secretly through a peephole ...

Nice going, Michael David Barrett, you perv.

Michael David Barrett, the perv arrested for videotaping Erin Andrews nude in several hotels earlier this year, is now out on bail - but on a very tight leash.

He forked over $4,500 in bail money, but don't expect him to skip down. A federal judge in Chicago granted his release with the following list of stipulations:

  • Barrett have to wear an electronic monitoring device.
  • He can go to work and doctor's appointments only.
  • A curfew beginning at 9 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m.
  • No Internet for two weeks (probably for the best).

Michael David Barrett was also ordered to turn in his passport by tomorrow morning, and he's not allowed to leave Northern Illinois without permission.

The judge said he was releasing Barrett because that suspect doesn't have a criminal record and because his family lives in the area. He is not a flight risk.

He faces interstate stalking charges in Los Angeles October 23 for allegedly taking clandestine videos of the ESPN reporter nude and posting them online.

Plenty of guys want to see Erin Andrews naked, which is understandable. Look at her. Taping her without her consent just makes you a perv and a criminal, though.

A Chicago-area man, Michael David Barrett, was arrested last night at that city's O'Hare airport for secretly taping ESPN reporter Erin Andrews nude.

He is due to appear in federal court Saturday morning. The charges were filed against Michael David Barrett in L.A., where she first learned of the tape.

Barrett faces federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos, then trying to sell them to celebrity gossip sites and posting the videos online.

Several TV networks and newspapers aired brief clips or printed screen grabs from the scandalous, virus-laden Erin Andrews peephole video in July.

Andrews thanked FBI agents and prosecutors for their work on the arrest and said she hoped that the case will help others who have been victimized.

"For my part, I will make every effort to strengthen laws on a state and federal level to better protect victims of criminal stalking," she said in a statement.

Andrews' attorney, Marshall Grossman, said last night that Erin is "probably sleeping more soundly tonight than she has since these videos surfaced."

Grossman said the videos appeared to have been taped by a serial stalker who followed Erin from city to city: "He wasn't an accidental tourist," he said.

FBI agents report that seven of the eight videos posted online were taken through a modified peephole while the 31-year-old Andrews was alone and naked.

They believe Michael David Barrett called many Nashville, Tenn., hotels to find out where Andrews was staying and requested a hotel room next to hers.

Agents said Barrett, 48, also made reservations at a Milwaukee hotel she visited in July 2008. They found her door's peephole rigged, but he didn't check in and the furniture in the room did not match furniture seen on the eighth video.

Barrett first tried to sell the tape to celebrity gossip website TMZ, but an employee there informed Erin Andrews' attorneys, according to the complaint.

FBI agents matched information in the e-mail to Barrett, and also examined telephone records and credit card charges from Barrett's Nashville hotel stay.

Agents also concluded that the videos of Erin Andrews naked, which are far from high quality, were probably all recorded using a cell phone camera.

Barrett sought to place Andrews under surveillance to harass and intimidate her, and to cause substantial emotional distress, the federal complaint said.

He faces up to five years in federal prison if convicted.
