Meghan McCain Rips Greta Van Susteren For Lindsay Lohan White House Dinner Invite
Meghan McCain is bashing Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on Twitter for inviting Lindsay Lohan to this weekend's White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
Not just for the sake of hating on Lohan, a la Rosie O'Donnell.
“Let me get this straight,” Meghan McCain, 27, tweeted. “Greta Van Susteren is bringing Lindsay Lohan to the WHC Dinner but has a moral offense to Louie C.K?”
In March, Van Susteren called for a boycott of the Radio/TV Correspondence Dinner over comedian C.K.'s past controversial statements about women.
"The headliner of this year’s Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner is “comedian” Louis C.K. Comedian? I don’t think so. Pig? yes," she wrote.
"He uses filthy language about women. Yes, the C word…and yes, even to describe a woman candidate for Vice President of the United States. It isn’t just Governor Palin he denigrates. He denigrates all women and looks to the crowd to laugh."
Apparently Megs isn't offended ... except by Greta. The daughter of U.S. Sen. John McCain may not be crazy about Lindsay attending, but she's still going.
The Republican blogger, columnist and author Tweeted that she's "headed to DC for the nerd prom." Just hope they don't seat her with Greta or LiLo.

Meghan McCain in Playboy: Loving Sex, Hating Bristol Palin
Meghan McCain, daughter of U.S. Senator and 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain, poses for Playboy this month. Innocently, of course.
Her mere presence in the men's mag (and some of the quotes she gave in an interview with it) are sure to raise eyebrows, but this one pic is it. Sorry.
Meghan revealed to Playboy that she “almost overdosed on Xanax” the day before the 2008 election, and dismissed any rumors that she is gay.
Using an obscene rhyme, Meghan, a same-sex marriage advocate, said was “strictly d!ckly” (straight), adding: “I can’t help it. I love sex and I love men.”
Shifting her focus elsewhere, Meghan McCain told Playboy that a memoir written by Bristol Palin, Sarah’s daughter known for her teen pregnancy, was a “total lie.”
At the WHCA dinner, Bristol “totally took off” when she saw Meghan across the room, lest Bristol be confronted about the book's remarks on the McCain family.
In Not Afraid of Life, Bristol dings Meghan and mom Cindy McCain for having “so much Louis Vuitton luggage, so many cell phones, so many helpers," etc.
Bristol Palin also writes of Meghan McCain that after their first meeting in 2008, she had the “sneaking suspicion that I might need to watch my back.”
Meghan McCain Would "Slit My Wrists" if Dad Endorsed "Moron" Rick Santorum
"If he had endorsed Santorum, I mean, I would be like slitting my wrists on the table right now." - Meghan McCain on John McCain's endorsement of Mitt Romney
Like her dad, Meghan McCain does not mince words.
In the wake of Tuesday's Iowa caucus, she didn't hold back on her feelings about surprise second-place finisher and frequent McCain critic, Rick Santorum.
“My father did not become the nominee having anything to do with the Iowa caucus. I find it completely irrelevant," she said. "If Rick Santorum becomes the nominee of this party, I mean, it is going to be bedlam and hysteria like you have never seen.”
As for whether a McCain endorsement will help Romney in next week's primary, the 27-year-old said it certainly couldn't hurt, given his popularity in the state.
"I think in New Hampshire the McCain name is very strong. If my father could run for Governor of New Hampshire right now, he'd probably still win," she added.
Romney leads N.H. and national polls in the Republican presidential race.
Meghan McCain to Bristol Palin: Come On!
Levi Johnston isn't the only figure called out in Bristol Palin's memoir, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far. Yes ... Bristol actually has a memoir out.
One in which she reflects not-so-fondly on her initial impressions of Meghan McCain, whose father named Bristol's mom to the GOP ticket in 2008.
In the book, Bristol Palin, now 20, writes that during her first encounter with Sen. John McCain's daughter, now 26, she "ignored us the entire visit."
There's no love lost between the offspring of the 2008 GOP ticket.
Palin "had a sneaking suspicion I might need to watch my back" and added that "Every time we saw Meghan McCain, she seemed to be constantly checking us out, always comparing my family to hers and complaining."
McCain takes issue with that statement and then some.
She Tweeted a YouTube video from 2008, showing herself with her arm around Sarah Palin's "sweet, sweet daughter Piper" smiling on a couch.
Glenn Beck on Meghan McCain PSA: BARF!
Safe to say Meghan McCain is not Glenn Beck's type.
The Fox News host mocked her recent skin cancer PSA for the Style network and even pretended to vomit when her name was mentioned. Classy.
Sen. John McCain's daughter, alongside other stars, appear in the spot in various forms of nudity. The point is that we're naked without sunscreen.
Beck was unmoved, feigning the urge to hurl.
He sarcastically said he was feeling ill from too much of a good thing or maybe he was trying "to imagine John McCain naked with long blonde hair."
"When I look at that, I think to myself, I get the point, put some clothes on," griped Beck, who suggested she wear a burka to "be extra safe."
Meghan McCain hit back, deriding Beck as "pathetic and extremely desperate for publicity." Her mom, Cindy McCain, also called out Beck on Twitter.
"I'm so glad Glenn Beck is leaving Fox," wrote Cindy, a skin cancer survivor (as is John McCain). "Enough vitriol and hate. Glenn you are no rodeo clown."
Seriously. Never mind that she's not really naked or that she's actually promoting an important cause, right Glenn? Come on dude. This is too much:
Whose side are you on?

Meghan McCain Flashes Skin, Calms Critics of Cancer PSA
Meghan McCain flashes some skin for an important cause in a new PSA.
The daughter of John McCain, who has never been afraid to cause controversy within Republican ranks, is one of many women who appears on behalf of the Style Network’s skin cancer prevention campaign.
Aware it might cause trouble within the capitol, she Tweeted: “Pundits in DC can calm themselves. I filmed a skin cancer PSA in a strapless juicy tube dress. All you can see is my collar bone.”
Check out the PSA after the jump ...
Meghan McCain to Bristol Palin: You're Ridiculous!
Meghan McCain, the daughter of newly-reelected U.S. Sen. John McCain, thinks people who don't vote are ridiculous. She's talking to you, Bristol Palin!
The 20-year-old daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who's competing on ABC's Dancing With the Stars in L.A., said she forgot to vote absentee.
"I'm going to be in trouble. Sorry, Mom!" she joked. Appearing on The Tonight Show last night, Meghan McCain didn't shy away from criticizing her.
Bristol Palin and Meghan McCain both had one parent on the Republican presidential ticket in 2008. That's about where their similarities begin and end.
"If you didn't vote in my family that was bad news. I've been voting since I turned 18," she said. "I guess it's only important for Bristol Palin to vote for Dancing With the Stars. A lot of women worked really hard to give us the right to vote."
"Anyone that doesn't is just ridiculous."
Yup, pretty much. Megs did not opine on whether there's a Bristol Palin conspiracy keeping her on Dancing With the Stars despite her atrocious moves.
Meghan McCain Skips Book Signing to Party in Vegas, Gets Busted By Own Twitter Page
There's a lesson in this story. That lesson is not to Tweet about your real whereabouts when you make up a BS excuse to get out of a speaking engagement.
With three days' notice, Meghan McCain canceled an appearance at Pennsylvania's Juniata College due to "several unforeseen professional responsibilities."
As in partying in Vegas, baby!
It's hard to fly under the radar when you Tweet 24/7.
McCain's Twitter account reveals this: "First real time off in months - was gonna rest up for phase two next week of my Dirty Sexy Politics book tour ... But headed to sin city with my favorite crew of sinners instead ... Viva Las Vegas baby."
And McCain kept on tweeting: No apology to the college, just a hissy fit about how the MGM messed up her hotel reservation and her move to the Palms.
McCain's rep, Kenny Rahtz, said, "I have nothing to say" then hung up.
Meghan McCain: Sarah Palin Loves Attention!
Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain, is not only funny, refreshingly candid and entertaining as hell, she's a cutie too. Talk about the whole package!
The 25-year-old's new book, Dirty Sexy Politics, hit stores this week, and contains some choice lines about high-profile political figures, Republicans included.
Chief among Meghan's targets? Her dad's '08 running mate, Sarah Palin.
Meghan McCain respects Sarah Palin, but, well ...
"I was waiting for her to explode," she writes of the former Alaska Governor. "There was a fine line between genius and insanity, they say, and choosing her as the running mate was starting to seem like the definition of that line."
"The Palins were nice and down-to-earth. I've said that before. I mean no disrespect when I say this, but when they arrived from Alaska and unpacked their bags, they brought drama, stress, complications, panic, and loads of uncertainty."
In a thinly-veiled jab at Palin's lust for fame, Megs notes: "They brought a tabloid attention-getting quality my family has never had - and God willing, never will."
Meghan McCain Releases Dirty, Sexy Book Cover
Those of you with crushes on Meghan McCain need not get your hopes up after reading the headline above. Her new book is simply titled Dirty Sexy Politics.
The cover for the work was released Tuesday by the Daily Beast, a news and opinion website that the 25-year-old daughter of Sen. John McCain writes for.
The effervescent Meghan "writes about her experiences on the campaign trail, how the party veered so far off track, why she is still a Republican, and more."
It's cool Meghan McCain has a book coming out and it'll be a good read. We just hope she didn't ask Tila Tequila and/or Heidi Montag to write the foreword.
Here's our first look at the cover ....
DIRTY, SEXY POLITICS: Meghan McCain covers it all.
A summary included with the book touts the younger, more attractive McCain as one of the most outspoken members of the Republican Party. Definitely true.
McCain, who is the creator of the website, McCainblogette.com, is also the author of a New York Times bestselling children's book My Father: John McCain.
She is active on social networks such as Twitter, although she has scaled back on the picture posting after this hot, dorky photo caused such a stir last fall.
