He hasn't gone all Charlize Theron on us, but Matthew Morrison will be sporting a new look this summer.

The Glee star - who is working on his second solo album - sent out a photo of himself via WhoSay yesterday with a buzz cut, a startling change for an actor well known for his curly hair.

What do you think of the move? Are you still watching Glee? Or do you think it's become a painful weekly PSA wrapped in a number of iTunes-friendly singles that totally ignores the concepts of character development and logic? Sorry. We got carried away there.

Adam Levine announced this week the start of his own record label, following up that news with its first signing: Matthew Morrison!

“Starting my own label has been a long time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening,” Levine said in a statement. “I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release.”

The Glee star also chimed in and expressed enthusiasm for the "same vision" he says he and the Maroon 5 frontman share.

Fans can look forward to Morrison's second album, and first with Levine, some time this spring.

It's safe to say that Matthew Morrison and Snoop Dogg don't exactly run in the same circles.

Unlike the latter and Charlie Sheen, we can't imagine the Glee star teaming up with the hip hopper on a duet any time soon.

Still, they both walked the red carpet at last night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, prompting us to post the latest edition of a THG Fashion Face-Off. Which star is better dressed? Compare. Contrast. Vote.

The bad news: Matthew Morrison has canceled his upcoming solo tour.

The good news: He's signed on to appear with New Kids on the Block and The Backstreet Boys!

“This was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” the Glee star said. “I am so appreciative of my fans and I’m planning to give them a great show.”

Friday, at UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation "Taste for a Cure" gala, Glee star Matthew Morrison was asked about the show's latest controversy.

Regarding author Bret Easton Ellis' Tweets - out-of-nowhere, awful Tweets - which likened Glee to a "stepping in a puddle of HIV," his reply was simple:

"Who's that?"

Bret is the author of notable works like American Pyscho and Rules of Attraction. Morrison may have meant this to mean that Ellis is not on his radar.

The actor added:

"You know what? That means the show is good if people have not nice things to say - and amazing things to say. It keeps people talking, you know?"

"That's going to be a part of the show."

That's a remarkably positive way to look at it. If only everyone approached things with that mentality, maybe comments like Ellis' wouldn't even occur.

Glee star Matthew Morrison sure knows how to strike a lean, mean shirtless pose, as his Details photo spread in December proved beyond any doubt.

His secret to keeping that body? That part of it may surprise you.

For three days before the Details shoot, the actor ate nothing but ... sweet potatoes. He scientifically explains this dietary strategy as such: “The potato acts as a sponge and your body literally shrinks and gets ripped and tight."

Mmmyeah, not sure about that, Matt. Then again, it worked, so ...

Gwyneth Paltrow, who has appeared twice on Glee and is scheduled to return next month, will lend her voice to a duet on Matthew Morrison's upcoming solo CD. The classic track these two will sing together? "Over the Rainbow."

Morrison sang an acoustic version of this Wizard of Oz single on the Glee season finale last May.

"People kind of know me for that song now," he says. "I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it. It's a lot of strings, and it's beautiful."

No release date has been set yet for the CD.
