Professional wrestling may be fake, but Matt Hardy got himself involved a very real fight a few weeks ago.

With his wife.

The former WWE tag team champion - who was arrested in August 2011 for drunk driving and again a month later for drug possession - allegedly got into it with Reby Sky on January 1 inside a Hampton Inn in Emporia, Virginia.

According to the 911 call (below), an employee called the authorities around 5:45 a.m. because a guest told her "somebody's beating the hell out of his wife... or something."

In their mug shots, both Hardy and Sky were bloodied and wounded, with the latter suffering a swollen lip and a black eye.

Following yet another arrest, Matt Hardy is headed to rehab.

The professional wrestler, who was booked on suspicion of DUI last month, was actually led back to the police last week after his girlfriend, Reby Sky, called 911 because she was concerned Hardy "was strung out on pills."

Authorities subsequently obtained a search warrant for Hardy's house and found prescription painkillers in a safe, along with 20 vials of anabolic steroids and some ecstasy. Hardy turned himself in on Monday, posted bail and then released the following video, which says he's embarking on a three-month rehab program paid for by the WWE:

UPDATE: Reby says she was coerced by police into turning her boyfriend in, telling TMZ she "would never do anything to put [Matt] in a compromising position with the law."

Matt Hardy, a former WWE star known for his high-flying arsenal of moves, has been arrested for making a mistake on the ground. Namely: driving while intoxicated.

The wrestler smashed his Corvette into a tree in North Carolina in Saturday and was subsequent taken into custody because authorities believed he was drunk. We're awaiting the toxicology report, but Hardy's mug shot practically renders it unnecessary...
