Matt Giraud Eliminated from American Idol
This was not funny, America.
While Matt Giraud was rightfully voted off American Idol last night, the major news from the evening was that he was joined in the bottom two by Adam Lambert.
We're trying to determine what could poisslbly be the explanation behind Lambert ever being among the lowest vote getters. Might it be backlash against the constant praise he receives? Millions of texting mistakes? Swine flu?
As for Giraud, he reacted to his elimination with class.
"I'll definitely remember being the cat with nine lives up there," the singer said before launching into "My Funny Valentine" one more time. "It's definitely not the last time you'll see me. I want to thank Kalamazoo and Michigan for supporting me, and the judges for seeing something in me. I love you all, so, I can't wait."

Spotted: American Idol Finalists at BritWeek
It's an American Idol tradition, on par with receiving criticism from Simon Cowell and smiling through Paula Abdul's jibberish.
Each year, the show's finalists attend BritWeek, an event created by producer Nigel Lythgoe. The event celebrates the link between Great Britain and the Los Angeles area.
At the 2009 edition, Adam Lambert and company got into the spirit of the occasion, posing for pictures and boogieing the night away with an Austin Powers impersonator...

Kristen Dalton Crushes on Matt Giraud
Carrie Prejean might or might not be dating Michael Phelps.
But the woman who defeated Prejean for the Miss USA crown is definitely crushing on a certain American Idol finalist.
During an interview with OK!, Kristen Dalton showered Matt Giraud with affection.
Kristen Dalton is smitten with Matt Giraud. But she might need to get in line behind a few million other fans.
“He’s the Justin Timberlake of the show," she said. "I love how he can play the piano, and his soothing voice. I would love to meet him. He could sing to me and play the piano all day long, and I would just fall in love with him.”
Dalton added that she'd like Giraud - one of five contestants remaining on Idol to - serenade her with Frank Sinatra or Harry Connick, Jr.
If you're reading this, Matt, you're welcome for the advice. Go get her!
