Mary J. Blige is both in Shape and still in mourning.

The 42-year old Grammy winner covers the latest issue of this magazine, showing off an impressively flat stomach and saying she remains inspired by the tragic death of Whitney Houston.

Saying that event "really crushed her," Blige expounds on how it changed her life.

“I haven’t had a drink in a year and three months," according to the artist. "I had quit for a long time but started again about five years ago. I’m off it completely once more, and now I feel stronger than ever.”

Burger King is no longer in the fast food business with Mary J. Blige.

The chain has pulled a controversial ad from the airwaves, citing a music licensing issue, but causing many to wonder if it gave in to pressure from critics who believe the spot is an insult to African-Americans.

In response to Blige standing atop a counter and singing about "crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, three cheeses, ranch dressing wrapped up in a tasty, flour tortilla," lifestyle publication Madame Noire has written an open letter to the Grammy winner that reads:

“Having a black woman sing about chicken was no mistake. They’re trying to reach the ‘urban’ (aka black) demographic and they used you. Because God knows black folk won’t buy anything unless there’s a song, and preferably a dance, attached to it.”

Salma Hayek, Jay Leno and David Beckham have also been hired to pitch this new product and Burger King claims the commercial will air again once the licensing issue is solved.

Watch above and decide for yourself: Should it be yanked?

UPDATE:  Blige has released the following statement: “I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that's not what was happening in that clip.

"I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you’re a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out."

Opening up about an emotional topic, Mary J. Blige told VH1's Behind the Music that being molested when she was a child made her feel "worthless."

Last night, the Grammy award-winning singer gave a candid interview in which she talks about her difficult childhood and molested at the age of five.

Discussing the sexual abuse, Mary said: "When I was five years old I was molested and just, you know. I remember feeling, literally right before it happened, I just could not believe that this person was going to do this to me."

A slew of celebrities, many of them from the world of hip hop, have been implicated in an enormous steroid scandal that makes the rear end on Kim Kardashian look small.

According to The Times Union of Albany, the following names have been linked to the performance enhancing drug bust:

50 Pounds Lighter
  • 50 Cent
  • Tyler Perry
  • Mary J. Blige
  • Timbaland
  • Wyclef Jean
  • Sylvestor Stallone

Now, we've seen a few minutes of Tyler Perry's House of Payne - and if the dude is on drugs, they certainly aren't enhancing the performance of this awful sitcom.

The newspaper cites information from "several cooperating witnesses" in the investigation, stating:

"Blige and other stars were shipped prescribed human growth hormone or steroids - sometimes under fictitious names - at hotels, productions studios, private residences, an upscale Manhattan fitness club and through the Long Island office of Michael Diamond, a chiropractor affiliated with the celebrities."

However, the article also reads: "Law enforcement officials have said they have no evidence in their sprawling multi-state probe that customers, including Blige or other entertainers, violated any laws."

Is Mary J. Blige rocking out to her own tunes in this picture?

It's hard to know for sure. Is the diva smiling because she has an up close, personal view of Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boobs? That's pretty much certain.

The Grammy Award-nominated singer and beautiful actress share a moment here between takes of the series, Ghost Whisperer, on which Blige is guest starring.

No, the name of the show does not refer to either of the Olsen twins. But we can see how you'd make that mistake.

Britney Spears, you are not alone.

Sure, Paris Hilton may have moved on and countless fans may be sick of your no-pants-wearing ways, but a Grammy Award-winning artist is coming to your defense.

Reformed drug addict, Mary J. Blige, says Spears is just going a bit wild with her newfound freedom and will soon settle down again.

"I know that at some point in our lives we've had a situation like Britney's, meaning that we all were with someone we thought loved us and actually didn't," Blige shared. "We make mistakes. I am looking at Britney as a human being just like myself. I messed up big time in my life."

For the sake of Jayden James Federline, let's hope Mary is right. The kid needs a responsible mother, Brit.

Do you want him to turn out like Brandon Davis?
