Is Madonna's new album MDNA one giant shot at ex Guy Ritchie?

The icon's eight-year marriage to the director  ended bitterly in 2008. One year later, she opened up to Rolling Stone, admitting the union was "challenging."

Had their marriage not ended, the singer said she might have "thrown [herself] off a building." That's a bit extreme, but it sounds like ending it was best.

Still, is her bitterness at Ritchie on display in her 12th album?

Madonna, who's now dating dancer Brahim Zaibat, 24, has come up with an intense set of pumping synth-pop and electronic dub-step tracks for MDNA.

The lyrics contain the really hard-hitting material, however, and not just in the cryptically titled "I F*%ked Up." There appear to be overt shots taken.

"Didn't have a prenup," she bemoans in "I Don't Give A." On the blistering "Love Spent," Madge cracks, "Would you have married me if I were poor?"

Ouch. Looks like the Queen of Pop always gets the last word. MDNA drops on Monday morning. Will you be purchasing Madonna's latest release?

Madonna's big new album MDNA finally drops next week, and her latest offering from it has leaked online. In "I F*%ked Up," she sings about ... how she did just that.

As the title indicates, her Madgesty contemplates a past misdeed.

“I f*%ked up,” she sings. “I made a mistake ... Nobody does it better then myself ... I’m sorry ... I’m not afraid to say ... I wish I could take it back, but I can’t.”

For what, she doesn't say, but deep stuff, right?

She soon kicks up in a notch to a mid-tempo dance groove, so it's not entirely a downer of a track from our favorite "Girl Gone Wild." Take a listen to it below:

Looks like that douche Joe Francis can rest at ease.

The music video premiere of Madonna‘s “Girl Gone Wild” (girl singular, not girls plural) has just occurred, and contains no topless drunk girls on Spring Break.

No copyright infringement here. Just uptempo artistry.

Instead, fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott directed the 53-year-old icon in a black-and-white video for the song, her second off of MDNA.

“Girl Gone Wild” and the rest of Madonna‘s new album will be released next Monday (March 26). Take a look at her latest effort here and see what you think:

A minute-long snippet from Madonna's upcoming single "Superstar," has been released, and may be the most interesting preview from her new album MDNA so far.

Thanks in very large part to her partner in song: Daughter, Lourdes Leon.

Madonna's 15-year-old girl is growing up fast, contributing background vocals for her famous mom's new tune. Take a listen below and see if you can pick her out:

Rather than just serving as a PR-worthy, superfluous addition to the song, Lourdes' involvement is more of a fun (and sentimental) collaboration with mom.

After all, the tune, "Superstar," is a followup of sorts to "Little Star," the 1998 single Madonna penned in honor of her daughter. How time flies, right?

The latest Madonna song leak has hit the Internets.

Just three weeks before the release of the pop icon's new studio album, MDNA, a snippet of one of its tracks, "I'm Addicted," is making the rounds.

With its strong electronic beats and lyrics like "I need to dance," this is a tune that will no doubt get some major play on the radio and at the clubs.

What's it sound like? Hear it for yourself right here:

Meanwhile, there are rumors running rampant that "I Don't Give A," also from the singer's upcoming disc, is actually a dig at ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

According to the New York Post, the tune includes such lyrics as:

"I tried to be a good girl / I tried to be your wife / Diminished myself / Swallowed my light / I tried to become all / That you expect of me."

"And if it was a failure / I don't give a [bleep]."

Certainly one way to get people talking. MDNA drops March 27. Other notable tracks: "GIRL Gone Wild" (not girls) and "Give Me All Your Luvin."

Madonna renamed her song "Girls Gone Wild" to "Girl Gone Wild" (singular) after a legal threat from underage-drunk-spring-break-girl-sleaze kingpin Joe Francis.

Which she says didn't impact her decision, at all.

Still, the Girls Gone Wild mogul warned the star with a cease and desist letter not to sing her single of the same name at the halftime show. She didn't.

Then, the singer released the song off her upcoming MDNA album ... with the "s" not only removed from the title and lyrics, but the lyrics as well. Listen:

Francis tells E! that his legal team worked with Madonna's people on it, and that changing "Girls Gone Wild" to "Girl Gone Wild" was just the start.

"An immediate solution for them to thwart any injunctive relief," he said. "Clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action surrounding the song."

"This is still infringement as far as the law is concerned. We have been in touch with Madonna's representatives in an effort to resolve this issue."

According to Madonna's manager, that's total B.S.

Sultan of sleaze Joe Francis is threatening to sue Madonna if she performs her new song called "Girls Gone Wild" at the Super Bowl tomorrow. Yes, really.

Francis, creator of the infamous Girls Gone Wild franchise, in which he films drunk girls exposing themselves on spring break, is apparently dead serious.

He has issued a cease and desist letter claiming he will take legal action against Madonna if she sings that particular song at this weekend's festivities.

  • Madgestic
  • Skeez

The letter (sent to Madonna, NBC Universal and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell) from Francis' Nevada lawyer David Houston, states that:

"[Francis] became aware of Madonna's new track based on the presales of her new album MDNA, as the #1 song on the album is 'Girls Gone Wild.'"

"Mr. Francis and Girls Gone Wild have worked tirelessly for an excess of two decades to build his brand and to protect his trademark Girls Gone Wild."

How appropriate.

After a sneak peek on American Idol last night, Super Bowl halftime act Madonna's music video for "Give Me All Your Luvin'" has debuted, and it's football-themed!

The 53-year-old superstar is lifted up by football players, who even take bullets for the Material Girl, while M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj serve as her cheerleaders.

The trio even pays homage to Marilyn Monroe, with curly blonde bobs, diamonds and white lacey dresses. Is the end result any good, though? You tell us.

Madonna is expected to perform "Give Me All Your Luvin'" as part of her Super Bowl halftime performance Sunday in Indianapolis. Watch the video below!
