Madonna put on a last-minute concert in Paris last night with one goal in mind: peace and tolerance.

By the time it was over, just 45 minutes after the Material Girl took the stage, debris was flying and fans were screaming for a refund.

Madonna planned the show in response to her tussle with that nation's National Front party, which started when the singer flashed the Nazi symbol over politician Marine Le Pen's face, telling attendees:

"I know that I made a certain Marine Le Pen very angry with me. And it's not my intention to make enemies... it's my intention to promote tolerance. And when we can start saying that we have to get rid of this person or we have to get rid of that person, because then we'll have a better place, it starts to sound like something else; it starts to sound like something scary."

The sentiment may have been admirable, but it was followed by just a handful of songs, no encore performance and 2,700 concert goers irate at the legendary artist.

This is merely the latest in a string of bad PR moves by Madonna: she pointed a gun to her head during a show in London and mooned the crowd in Berlin.

Someone may need a break from the spotlight for awhile.

Madonna. Is she a revolutionary, provocative entertainer? Or an aging act desperate for attention?

This question has been posed over the last couple weeks, as the Material Girl has gone to unusually extreme lengths on stage during various concerts.

She mooned a crowd in Rome. She purposely slipped a nip in Istanbul. She cried in Berlin. She's facing a lawsuit for flashing a Swastika over the face of a politician in Paris.

And, last night in London, she pulled out a gun and pointed it at her cranium during the single "Gang Bang."

Madonna, Gun to Head

Following the controversy over Lindsay Lohan's recent gun-toting spread - the national suicide hotline referred to that act as "grossly irresponsible," considering the troubled individuals who pull the trigger in real life - it's safe to assume Madonna will also come under fire now for the maneuver.

Should she? What do you make of this loaded gesture?

It's all fun and games until someone flashes a Swastika in concert.

During a concert in Tel Aviv earlier this year, Madonna aired a video that included a shot of the infamous Nazi symbol, using it as a way to call out National Front leader Marine Le Pen, a political leader with extraordinarily conservative views.

She then did so again in Paris on Saturday, with 70,000 attendees looking on, and will likely now face legal consequences.

Le Pen is expected to take Madonna to court, according to The Guardian, deeming the act a "public insult."

Said National Front Vice President Florian Philippot:

"We cannot accept everything. We cannot accept this insulting connection. Marine Le Pen is defending her honor, but also that of party members and supporters and the millions of Front National voters."

No legal documents have been filed yet, but circle August 21 on your calendar, music/gossip fans: Madonna returns to France on that date for a concert in Nice.

There is no mooning involved. Nor is there a nip slip of any kind.

Unexpected waterworks? Nope, not in this case.

But Madonna has come out with the official music video for "Turn Up the Radio," her third track of "MDNA," which is her 12th studio album and is available now around the world.

Watch the Material Girl drive around in a Cadillac convertible and keep your eye out for her boyfriend, Brahim Zaibat, who makes a cameo in the following video:

One day, she disses Lady Gaga. The next, Madonna flashes the crowd. A week later, she moons the audience. The Material Girl's tour is full of surprises.

The latest noteworthy moment? During a slowed-down performance of her '84 hit "Like a Virgin" in Berlin, Madonna broke down and cried, live on stage.

Check out the strange and emotional performance below ...

Fortunately for Madonna, a shirtless backup dancer lifted her up, fastened her up into a corset and sensually stroked her body in mid-song.

That's enough to lift anyone's spirits, and/or libido.

He then tightened her corset, causing her to theatrically gasp for air. She quickly pulled herself together, finishing the song to much applause.

Playing dress-up takes on new meaning when your mom is Madonna.

Her eldest child Lourdes Leon, 15, had some fun backstage at mom's MDNA tour wearing the Material Girl's cone bra! Lourdes and Madonna's Material Girl clothing line tweeted a photo of "Lola backstage at MDNA!" Wednesday.

Check out mother and daughter in the infamous garb:

While Lourdes is well on her way toward adulthood, and the above photo is harmless, the singer has expressed concerned that she's growing up too fast.

Lola was recently seen in some revealing bikini photos, and more scandalously, was also caught puffing on a cigarette in the streets of New York City.

"Cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of, for anyone. I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter," Madonna told NBC.

What do you think of the cone bra pic? Too much?

Just days after Madonna's nipple flash rocked Istanbul, she got a little cheeky with her audience Tuesday in Rome. See what we did there?

On the latest stop on her MDNA concert tour, she dressed in a sexy lace bra with black trousers once again, then promptly dropped her pants.

A lace g-string and nearly bare buns were exposed to the crowd.

The 53-year-old singer certainly isn't afraid to push the envelope, even in middle age ... gracious. Hey, when you've got an arse like that, might as well.

Enjoy the sort-of-NSFW Madonna concert clip below!

Even at 53, Madonna is clearly not afraid to go there.

During her concert in Istanbul this weekend, the Queen of Pop tantalized the crowd during a performance of her hit song “Human Nature,” wearing a skimpy bra top that she promptly pulled down to reveal one voluptuous nipple.

This was no wardrobe malfunction, either.

This is Madge basically saying "yes, I can and will do this ... deal."

As the decades go by, Madonna has shown no signs of slowing down, or going soft. She continues confront critics - with an absence of subtlety - who say she goes too far in invoking sex in her music and performances.

She's still finding an audience for it, too.

Her big MDNA concert stop in Istanbul came before 55,000 strong, and she reportedly followed up “Human Nature” with “Like A Virgin” ... natch.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Madonna once again finds herself in the middle of one.

During a concert in Tel Aviv last week, the Material Girl flashed a Swastika over the face of National Front leader Marine Le Pen, the political leader who has been accused of racism amidst her extremely conservative views.

As you might expect, the stunt is not sitting well with Le Pen, who has threatened legal action against the icon and who told The Daily Mail:

"We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes ... If she does that in France, we’ll be waiting."

Oohhh, it's on! Suddenly, Madonna's show in France next month - where she will appear at the Stade de France in Paris and then over in Nice - has grown in importance, stature and buzz.

A New York judge has apparently decided to reinstate charges against Robert Linhart, a crazed fan arrested outside Madonna's apartment two years ago.

This after dismissing his case earlier ... don't see that every day.

Linhart, a retired New York City firefighter, was arrested in September 2010 after carrying a sign that read, "M, the Universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please XXX." Yeah. Real normal.

Hot Madonna Picture

Linhart was charged at the time with a host of offenses: criminal mischief, graffiti, and possession of a weapon ... an ice pick he allegedly had in his car.

But lucky for him, area prosecutors failed to bring him to trial within 180 days of his original indictment, so a judge dismissed Linhart's case in March 2012.

However, a judge now says that the 180 days were previously miscalculated and that prosecutors have 15 more days to formally bring him to trial.

Good for Madge. Bummer for him, and the first judge who can't do math.

Madonna Quotes

Leave her alone. She’s gonna be 16 soon and then 17 and then 18, and then she might show her knees and then what's gonna happen?

My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.
