Last night, a grand jury in Ferguson, MO decided not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in connection with the shooting of Michael Brown.

While most celebrity responses to the grand jury's decision consisted of outraged tweets and pleas for peace, at least one A-list recording artist took to the streets to join the citizens of Ferguson in protest:

Rapper Macklemore attempted to blend in with the crowd while participating in a peaceful demonstration, but he was quickly spotted by a TMZ cameraman.

Asked why he'd decided to join the protesters, Macklemore responded, "It's not about me; it's about Michael Brown."

Happy belated National Cat Day, pet lovers!

While this holiday took place on October 29, it's never too late to post a few pictures of adorable kittens, is it? Especially when those adorable kittens are being cradled by some of the biggest names in Hollywood?

That's what we thought.

Ian Somerhalder
Ian Somerhalder loves ALL animals. But you'll rarely find him at home without a cat in his arms.

Celebrities who adore their cats run the gamut, from rappers to Glee stars to those who portray members of the undead on The Vampire Diaries.

Not to mention Taylor Swift, of course, the most famous cat lover of them all. She and Olivia Benson have been given their very own photo gallery, after all.

Drake hosted the 2014 ESPY Awards on Wednesday night, and while the show was supposed to focus on the year's greatest achievements in sports Drizzy not surprisingly found a way to focus much of the attention on himself...and his many boring feuds.

First, a sketch featuring Drake and Chris Brown spoofed the fact that the two R&B/hip hop stars once wanted each other dead but are now total besties.

Later in the show, Drake acknowledged his spat with rival rapper Macklemore in a slightly more subtle fashion:

That's Drake crooning a comedic song entitled "Honorable Mention" dedicated to all the runners-up in the crowd.

Watch the screen behind him when he sings "Real talent doesn't always win championships/Like real music doesn't always win Grammys."

Macklemore has issued a public apology for offending Jewish people with an outfit he wore in concert last Friday night.

During a stop in Seattle, the rapper performed "Thrift Shop" while donning phone facial hair and a long nose, a get-up that led many to believe he was mocking Jewish stereotypes.

The Grammy winner initially scoffed at such talk on Twitter - but took to his blog last night and wrote a lengthy explanation of what he intended to accomplish and how he understands why it was misinterpreted.

"I acknowledge how the costume could, within a context of stereotyping, be ascribed to a Jewish caricature,” Macklemore wrote. “I am here to say that it was absolutely not my intention, and unfortunately at the time I did not foresee the costume to be viewed in such regard. I’m saddened that this story, or any of my choices, would lead to any form of negativity."

Macklemore sky-rocketed to acclaim as a result of "Same Love," a single that stands for the equal treatment of same-sex couples.

But the artist is now under fire for allegedly mistreating certain people himself during a performance in Seattle Friday night, as he took to the stage in an outfit some believe mocked Jewish stereotypes.

As seen here, the Grammy winner sang a rendition of “Thrift Shop” while donning a giant fake nose, beard and shaggy hair.

Macklemore Costume

The Daily Dot, among others, criticized Macklemore for his get-up, which turned the rap star into what the site referred to as "some kind of Jewish caricature, prosthetic schnozz included."

The 2014 Grammy Awards were full of powerhouse performances, but the most moving, by far, belonged to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with Mary Lambert.

Their performance lit up L.A.'s Staples Center, and was made all the more stirring with Queen Latifah officiated 33 marriages, many of them same-sex.

As if that wasn't enough, Madonna, a champion of equality for decades, joined Macklemore, Ryan and Mary on their gay marriage anthem "Same Love."

Watch the powerful effort from the 2014 Grammy Awards winners, who received a thunderous ovation from the capacity crowd, for yourself below ...

Toward the end of the duo's hit, Madonna joined Mary Lambert to conclude the song with a mash-up of the “Same Love” chorus and “Open Your Heart.”

Queen Latifah joined the singers in unison, along with a gospel choir and horn aficionado Trombone Shorty amidst a backdrop of stained glass windows.

After introducing the performance, Latifah returned to the stage at the end to formally officiate 34 gay marriages in an incredibly emotional moment.

Thirty-four smiling couples exchanged rings in front of the arena audience, and 40 million viewers, as the ordained minister pronounced them married.

That's a hard act to tough ... even if you're Beyonce and Jay-Z and "Drunk in Love." What did you think of the performance? Tell us in the comments!
