Lindsay Lohan dressed like a ghost in court the other day.

Oddly fitting, given that she'll be doing community service at the morgue.

The troubled star won't be touching any dead bodies while putting in her time at the L.A. County morgue ... but staring them in the face is par for the course.

Lindsay Lohan: Dressing in character for her stint at the morgue?

Lindsay is on sheet-washing duty and covered her mouth in horror when she first laid eyes on a not-living human and his/her blood and fluid stained linens.

According to reports, she saw the dead body in the morgue and was "shocked." Lohan has since moved on to toilet duty, a separate part of her duties there.

Despite that rude awakening, she is said to be good spirits, talking to other people in her group and maintaining a positive attitude. Make this is for the best.

Lindsay has been ordered to complete 16 hours in the morgue a week until her November 2 hearing. Yesterday, she was turned away after showing up late.

She may face real jail time at that hearing. Should she get it?

Apparently Dina Lohan sucks even worse than originally believed.

It's not like we had a strong opinion of her to begin with, but the fact that Lindsay Lohan's mom is trying to expose her own daughter's secrets - blowing the lid off of LiLo's alleged drug and alcohol use in a new memoir - is reprehensible.

Lindsay has been a colossal mess and we will continue to call her out for it, but Dina's actions explain a lot, and actually make her daughter look sympathetic.

As recently as last week, with Lindsay looking down the barrel of another jail sentence, Dina Lohan's been hawking her lame memoir around town.

"I blamed her friends, her career and her handlers for an (sic) newfound life of partying excessively," says an excerpt, according to TMZ. "Drinking, drugging and behaving irresponsibly became Lindsay's way of daily living."

"It just tore me up inside."

We'd like to tear her a new one after reading this drivel.

Un. Believable. Lindsay Lohan was turned away from the L.A. County Morgue this morning after showing up late for community service. Way to go, girl!

The star, who was briefly cuffed and jailed yesterday, was supposed to be there at 8 a.m. At 7:40, her assistant called to say she'd be there in 10 minutes. 

When did she roll up in her $80,000 Porsche? Not until 8:40.

Linds in court for the 29,391st time yesterday.

Her publicist claims she was late "due to a combination of not knowing the entrance to go through and confusion caused by media waiting for her arrival."

Always excuses with LiLo, and Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter thinks this story has more cracks than Lindsay's teeth, since she's been there before.

Winter just told reporters there's NO WAY Lindsay was confused about anything, given that his office provided step-by-step directions on where to go.

More likely, she was strung out on meth ... KIDDING. Well, probably. You never know.

Michael Lohan is concerned about his daughter, and for good reason.

Not only is she constantly in legal trouble, having been thrown in jail for the 14,384th time yesterday ... but have you seen Lindsay Lohan's teeth?

“She’s an addict, she doesn’t care and she’s in denial,” her dad said. “I want her in treatment for a year. Otherwise nothing is going to change in her life."

Mike thinks Lindsay's on crack or meth, and if she doesn't get her act together, she won't be visiting the morgue for community service, but permanently.

This explains a lot.

On Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell on HLN Wednesday, Michael Lohan - no stranger to legal problems himself, which tells you something - said the following:

“The [issue with her teeth], that's from smoking a pipe with meth or crack. She’s smoking either crack or meth, one or the other. I’m not going to shade it.”

Linds reportedly had emergency dental surgery to fix her rotting teeth last week, amid concerns sparked when she walked a red carpet with a dented ass grill.

“[Prescription medication] would affect all your teeth, not just the front," the elder Lohan adds. "You can’t dance with the devil and expect to go home with Jesus.”

Whatever you say, MiLo. Whatever you say.

Yesterday was not Lindsay Lohan's best day ... aesthetically or legally.

After showing up for court with her makeup applied haphazardly and dressed like a ghost for reasons unknown, she was briefly jailed for violating probation before posting $100,000 bail ... standard operating procedure for LiLo.

Most mugshots don't tell you a whole lot about the person, but if your impression was that Lindsay is a whiny, pouty brat ... this isn't gonna dissuade you.

She'll be back in court for a full hearing Nov. 2, at which point Judge Stephanie Sautner could reinstate her probation, or send her to jail for a long ass time.

Short story: Linds is on probation in her necklace heist case, but is a Class A f*%k-up who cannot even do community service without getting kicked out.

She was handcuffed and thrown in jail yesterday mostly to send a message. If she can't convince the judge Nov. 2 that she has it together, watch out.

Should Lindsay do hard time?

Lindsay Lohan is free woman, at least until her hearing November 2.

The actress posted $100,000 bail after being handcuffed and jailed earlier Wednesday for violating her probation. In three weeks, when she must return to court to really face the music, girl could be looking at more than a year in jail.

The actress' severely-underpaid publicist tells TMZ in a statement:

"Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on November 2 and the Court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling community service."

Could be wishful thinking. Either way, who dresses up like a corpse for court??

She'll be getting plenty of exposure to such things, as it turns out, since the actress has been ordered to the L.A. County Morgue for community service.

Linds will clean tables where autopsies are performed - and various body parts and fluids often remain for disposal - per Judge Stephanie Sautner's orders.

Lindsay Lohan was handcuffed and led off to a jail cell today after a judge revoked her probation. She'll be free on bail shortly, pending a Nov. 2 hearing.

On that date, Judge Stephanie Sautner will determine how much - if any - time behind bars the train wreck will serve for her repeated probation violations.

Sautner Lohan is completely responsible for being thrown out of the Downtown Women's Center, where the judge told her she had to complete probation.

The last straw for Sautner came when LiLo's probation report quoted her as saying she didn't community service "fulfilling." That's when this happened ...

Lindsay got kicked out of the Women's Center after no-showing nine times, and Sautner also doubted Lohan has been seeing her psychiatrist as required.

The judge dismissed Shawn Holley's argument that Lohan had to leave town to work, and that's why she missed a number of community service dates.

Sautner recalled all the screw ups Lindsay has had in her court cases, reminding Holley that compared to being in jail right now, "Probation is a Gift."

Before Lindsay was taken away in cuffs today, the judge said she must complete 16 hours at the morgue before the Wednesday, November 2 hearing.

Lindsay could get nearly a year and a half in jail then, though Sautner said that's unlikely do to overcrowding. Still, this judge is not playing around.

Here's one you likely didn't see coming: Lindsay Lohan will get some critical support when she shows up in court tomorrow ... in the form of probation officials.

Probation Dept. sources close to her case say Linds has done most of what she's required to do, and they will NOT recommend that she be thrown in jail.

At her progress hearing, officials will tell Judge Stephanie Sautner in a written report that LiLo is in "substantial compliance" with the terms of her probation.

They concede she was kicked out of community service at the Downtown Women's Center for habitually failing to show up, but the fact is she has one year to complete 360 hours' community service total and remains on track.

Sources also say she has gone "regularly" to her psychiatrist.

The shrink did not address Judge Sautner's directive that Lindsay go for therapy once a week - she has not done so - but is satisfied with Lindsay overall.

Lindsay has also completed her mandatory shoplifting class.

Sautner made it clear that if Lindsay violated any court order, she would go to jail. We'll see if she holds true to her word or cracks like Lindsay's teeth.

The hearing is set for tomorrow at 10 a.m. What do you think:

Should Lindsay Lohan go to jail?

Stop us if you've heard this one, but Lindsay Lohan is a Class A F--k-Up whose myriad probation violations have her potentially facing a serious jail sentence.

The case is beyond complicated, but the actress could be sentenced to a year and a half in jail if Judge Stephanie Sautner decides she violated her probation.

Lohan claims people are trying to make an example out of her and she's done nothing wrong. But that defense has more cracks than her brittle teeth.

Lohan's biggest problem is her criminal history.

Based on a 120-day suspended sentence for shoplifting, time served under house arrest, and prior DUIs, Lindsay could be thrown in jail for a long, long time.

The judge has lots of questions at LiLo's probation progress hearing next week, including why she was booted out of her community service program recently.

Lindsay was a no-show nine times at the Downtown Women's Center, and when she did bother to show up, did not do so for the required four-hour minimum.

Lohan, who was kicked out of the program and reassigned to the American Red Cross, has also been skipping her weekly, mandatory psychiatrist appointments.

She professional excuse maker claims she did a bunch of therapy sessions by phone. We'll see if Sautner is moved at all. The fit hits the shan Wednesday a.m.

Tell THG: Should LiLo go to jail and do hard time?

Lindsay Lohan is sick of the lies dammit.

Not long after various sources reported that the professional trainwreck had been given the boot from her community service program and gotten in trouble for a failure to attend court-mandated therapy sessions, Lindsay took to Twitter and defended her record, writing:

"I am not to be made an example of anymore."

She continued: "I am working hard and fulfilling my obligations every single day, to the court as well as myself. If I travel, its for work and its been approved. As is anything I do when I leave the state.

"I'd appreciate it if people will just let me do what is asked of me, so that I can get my life back. Please ignore the reports which have no truth to them. Thank you."

Lohan will plead her case to a judge next week during a status hearing. Still no word, though, on what the heck is going on with her teeth these days.
