Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has reportedly gained five pounds in the past week alone while in rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

The weight was put on because Lohan was cut off from Adderall, the ADHD medication doctors felt she did not actually need, and is eating more as a result.

A lot more. And that's a good thing.

The 26-year-old claims she suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and would not go to rehab if the place didn't let her take her meds.

Betty Ford did ... but then they concluded she doesn't need Adderall, a pretty hardcore stimulant often prescribed to Hollywood types who abuse it.

It's unclear what they're giving her instead (if anything), but prosecutors have made it clear there is no chance she's leaving or changing venues.

So, we suppose she's just coping. And if that means packing on 5, 10, 15 pounds onto her withered frame and become more healthy and fresh-faced again?

We wouldn't complain. You?

Lindsay Lohan swears she doesn't give a hoot about any of the bad things people say about her - and that would be a lot of things, especially lately.

The embattled starlet insists she doesn't let it get to her.

Lindsay says in an interview included on the new DVD release of her Elizabeth Taylor biopic, Liz & Dick, that at this point, she's just numb to it all.

"You get to a point where I believe Elizabeth Taylor did as well, where you ignore it," she said. "You just become numb to it and you just live your life."

"You just live the way that you feel you need to live it."

In her case, that would be on Adderall and nicotine.

Having been cut off from Adderall and already talking about an escape from the Betty Ford Center, Lindsay Lohan's pleas are falling upon deaf ears.

Prosecutors are basically telling her to go kick rocks.

Lohan had always said being allowed to take her precious Adderall was a deal breaker as far as treatment goes. No ADHD meds, no rehab for her.

Betty Ford allows it, whereas some other places don't.

As a result, she chose Betty Ford ... however their doctors have since concluded that she does not actually need the drug and have taken it away.

Now she's "going crazy" as a result of that decision.

Lindsay Lohan's Adderall nightmare appears to be very real.

The Betty Ford Center have cut off her precious supply, after evaluating her this week and determining that she does NOT need her ADHD pills.

Now she's allegedly planning to bolt from the place ASAP.

The rehab facility almost never gives people over age 15 the powerful drug, due to its addictive qualities and the fact that harmful meds can treat ADHD.

Many celebrity types misuse Adderall as a weight-loss drug.

If we were talking about a normal person who realized she had issues and took rehab seriously, she'd probably suck it up and deal. But this is Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan and Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife, are apparently in the same wing of the same rehab center. Somehow we are not surprised.

The duo is staying in the hospital wing at The Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and they have already run into each other several times.

Hopefully no vials of crack were exchanged during those awkward hugs.

Linds checked into Betty Ford as a condition of her recent plea deal, but claims she has no drug problem and has only done coke 4-5 times ever.

Yeah, right. Brooke Mueller, for her troubled part, makes no such denials.

In addition to their well-documented substance abuse problems, the girls have something else in common: Charlie has given them each a ton of money!

Yes and no. The Betty Ford Center is allowing the troubled star to take it, which was a non-negotiable as far as her agreeing to check into the facility.

They reportedly think she doesn't actually need the medication, though.

Lindsay has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and has a prescription for the drug. But the viability of that Rx is disputed.

Lindsay Lohan has only been at the Betty Ford Center for a matter of days, yet is already telling people that she wants to leave the treatment facility.

The star checked into the famed Palm Desert, Calif., rehab center late last week, having bailed on two different facilities in the preceding days.

This is LiLo’s second stay at Betty Ford, and her sixth stint in rehab overall.

Apparently - and this should come as no surprise, given how she recently said rehab is a joke and she doesn't even need it anyway - she's not happy.

Some feel it's not a matter of whether she'll last, but when Lohan will bail.

Lindsay Lohan says she's not a big drinker, has only done cocaine 4-5 times in her life and has never done LSD, heroin or anything you have to inject.

She also swears she does not have a substance abuse problem and does not need rehab - which she finally checked into last week - for 90 days.

In an interview with the Daily Mail (UK), Lohan tells Piers Morgan that the media loves to make a huge deal out of nothing, mostly, and she's great.

"I don’t think I need to be on lockdown for three months. I don’t think that’s rehab," the 26-year-old says. "I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times."

"I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time."

After flaking on a second rehab center in 48 hours, the mercurial Lindsay Lohan is now at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., reports indicate.

For how long is a different topic.

The troubled star checked in late Thursday night, barely dodging a looming arrest warrant after bailing on both Morningside and Seafield earlier in the week.

The newly re-hired attorney Shawn Holley negotiated with Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White to allow her to enter Betty Ford, an acceptable rehab facility.

Lindsay, of course, is no stranger to Betty Ford.

Back in 2010, in one of her seven failed rehab stints to date, Lindsay got into a fight with a Betty Ford staffer, resulting in a criminal investigation and civil lawsuits.

Astonishingly, they took her back. She is required as part of her plea deal to spend 90 days in lockdown rehab. Think she can actually make it? Vote below:
