Lil Rounds made quite the impression on American Idol judges during her eighth season audition.Randy Jackson said she is a mix of Fantasia Barrino and Mary J. Blige. Hard to top that, isn't it?
The 23-year old singer with the unusual name hails from Memphis, Tennessee.
She's a customer service rep and she sang “All I Do” by Stevie Wonder for her initial try out. In Hollywood, the singer received a standing ovation after belting out "I Will Always Love You" and then went with “I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys for her third Hollywood audition.
Little doubt that this is a contestant to really keep our eyes on, as she was voted through to the finals after an incredible semifinal performance.

she has 3 children and her apartment was crashed by a tornado it is so sad and she comes in and sings great, that is a girl with great talent I hope she wins american idol she really needs it =)

Classy, very very classy. Take it from Simon and take it from me also. Very moving story about the Tornado and a determination to move on. I saw the little clip of her family in the little hotel room with the 3 kids kneeling and praying I guess before bed time and I knew this was a special young lady. Lil Rounds I love you.

I usually don't watch American Idol but, once I found out that I was related to Lil Rounds I have been rooting for her to make it to the top this season.

What What What the heck happen? I missed one week of idol and Lil Rounds is out? I hope she got a offer from Sony or somethng cause she is the best ever on Ameican Idol....If the people voted....then they were "out to lunch" that day....man- the only competion she had was Danny Gokey..and thats the truth. Afer lastnights performances (besides Gokey's)...they need to bring he back....

I am voting and praying for you Lil Round since i heard your first audition , you are such a great voice ,gosh where you've been !!! MJB must be happy that her songs were sung by you Lily , just keep going dont stop ! from now on nothig gonna stop your vicoty train ,EVER and no matter if it's the american idol your first break through or not, you'll make it any way.
