Looks like he isn't just getting past his differences - and reportedly getting back together - with Bristol Palin - he's also hoping to make amends with her mom.

"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry," admitted Levi in a statement to People, regarding his ongoing feud with the family.

"Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true. I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah."

"Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."

"So to the Palin family in general, and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion. I hope one day to restore your trust."

MANNING UP: You gotta give Levi Johnston is due.

Bristol Palin added her own statement: "Part of co-parenting is creating healthy, honest relationships between parents. Tripp one day needs to know the truth and needs to know that even if a mistake is made the honorable thing to do is to own up to it."

Johnston and the former V.P. candidate had been engaged in a war of words, with the 20-year-old accusing Palin of complaining about her job as governor of Alaska and claiming "there was a lot of talk of divorce" in the Palin household.

Bristol and Levi were also fighting for custody of Tripp, and Sarah Palin even went so far as to speak out against the "malicious" remarks he made (and bash the Levi Johnston nude Playgirl spread) during public appearances of her own.

But Bristol, who recently made her acting debut on ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager, said they want to turn "a new page here as co-parents … and [put] aside the past because doing so is in [our son] Tripp's best interest."

Not even 72 hours after reports surfaced about Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston getting back together, his sister Mercede has debuted her official site.

It could draw the wrath of Sarah Palin and brood, too - Mercede Johnston's new blog pledges to "answer all questions related to the Palin family."

One of her claims? Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston planned to conceive Tripp, the 18-month-old son they've spent much of the last year fighting over.

It was widely assumed this was an accident, but "During that time period, she and Levi were sexually active and trying to conceive," Mercede writes.

"As hard as it is for many of you to believe, they were indeed TRYING. Also there were rumors circulating around that she was already pregnant."

We're not sure what she means by that exactly, but a source close to both Bristol and Levi says that Mercede's shocking claims are totally false.

The source also claimed that Mercede's blog is being backed by well-known Sarah Palin hater, Jesse Griffin of "The Immoral Minority" blog fame.

"Mercede was put up by Jesse Griffin to do this blog," the insider said. "He is a Palin hater and is most likely behind all of these comments."

"Levi would never comment on something like this and neither would Bristol. Mercede's claims have been contradicted by [Levi's] statements."

After an acrimonious and very public break-up, Bristol and Levi have mended their turbulent, icy relationship and recently got back together.

We'll see if that lasts after Mercede apparently decided to turn on them both for reasons unknown. What the heck is wrong with these people?!

Fake engagements, court battles, baby mama drama and sabotaging a former V.P. candidate in the press. That was the life of Levi Johnston for the past year.

Despite all of that, he and Bristol Palin just got back together!

The parents of 18-month-old Tripp are making it work after all, despite breaking off their engagement in March 2009 and a prolonged period of icy relations.

Things have thawed considerably between the young parents in recent months, and "Bristol and Levi are still very close," a source close to Bristol tells Us.

The eldest daughter to former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin is "on her own in Anchorage" and she and Levi "spend more time together than most people think."

Asked for comment, Bristol Palin would say only that "Levi and me are co-parents of Tripp and we are actively working on being good parents together."

Levi added: "Nothing is more important than Tripp. We are taking active steps to cooperatively raise him, sharing the joys and challenges of parenthood."

Earlier this year, Bristol said Levi was "a stranger to me," while Johnston told Entertainment Tonight that the Palins were basically trying to cut him out.

Things have changed since then, the Bristol source says, noting that "Bristol is a great mom and cares for Tripp; [she] and Levi are raising him together."

We couldn't be happier. Hope she makes good at that new abstinence pledge, though - we know she can get pregnant, but give it a few years at least.

We know it's what you're supposed to do, and you really shouldn't give a man credit for it, but we're talking about Levi Johnston, so standards are low.

For the first time, Levi has made on-time child support payments to his baby mama Bristol Palin ... for two consecutive months. Downright respectable!

Even more shocking? Both sides finally getting along.

Ever since Levi paid his $21,000 debt to Bristol earlier this year, lawyers for both confirm he followed up with $1,750 in support for both March and April.

Moreover, sources connected to both Levi and Bristol Palin, who have long been at odds, say the two young Alaskans are being civil towards one another.

Actually supporting your kid will do that!

The daughter of Sarah Palin, Bristol has primary custody of 1-year-old Tripp, but is even allowing Levi to spend time with their son "whenever Levi wants."

Levi has been taking her up on the offer, too.

Next up? Bristol and Levi are planning to sit down for private mediation to work out the rest of the kinks in their custody battle, mainly money issues and visitation schedules, before they're due back in court to settle things come September.

We're happy for them, and for Tripp. But a little sad for us, because they're threatening to become downright normal, civil and cordial exes at this rate.

We'd miss the old Levi Johnston.

While it's amazing to think that a guy could become famous just for having unprotected intercourse with Bristol Palin - the daughter of a politician, not even an entertainment fixture at the time - Levi has done just that ... in spades.

By parlaying it into nude Playgirl photos and pistachio ads, Levi also cemented his place among the most shameless D-list hangers-on in the celebrity universe. Joslyn James has nothing on this guy! We can't wait to see what he does next.

Sarah Palin’s nemesis, nude model and her daughter's former fake fiance Levi Johnston does not hold back when it comes to Alaska's most famous family.

Recently, he weighed in on the former Vice Presidential candidate’s new reality show, saying it's going to flop ... compared to his own unnamed TV plans.

"Good for her but mine (show) is gonna beat it," Johnston said at Perez Hilton's birthday bash at LA's Paramount lot. What is "his" show exactly? Unclear.

And unimportant, for the most part, since as long as Sarah Palin does anything, and someone asks Levi Johnston for comment, we will get funny clips ...

Whatever. Now if someone got Levi Johnston and Sarah Palin in the ring for some celebrity boxing on pay per view, that would be worth tuning in for.

Levi Johnston has finally coughed up the full back child support payments he owes to his baby mama and former fake fiancee, but that doesn't mean he has to like it.

The aspiring actor and Playgirl model wrote Bristol Palin a check for $21,561.12 - the full amount that an Alaska judge ordered Levi to pay - and it actually cleared.

Levi is still ordered to pay $1,750 a month in child support payments, which he's not happy about, and is also on the hook for an additional $3,500 in back support.

The 19-year-old will try to comply with the judge’s order, he’s not happy about having to pay so much, his lawyer Rex Butler said, arguing that the sum is just unfair.

Levi Johnston is teaming up with Kathy Griffin to pay the bills.

“Levi promptly paid the full amount that the court ordered ... he does not agree with the amount and will seek reconsideration of the court’s order,” Butler said Monday.

“If he prevails, he will receive a credit ... he will obviously work hard to generate the income, but he’d rather pay and fight than be in contempt of the court’s order.”

Levi is already working to try and pay what he owes, no matter what it takes. He recently shot an episode of Kathy Griffin’s TV show My Life On The D List in Alaska.

He's also rumored for a role on Desperate Housewives in the near future. Hopefully that works out ... we can see him as a teenage hunk who knocks someone up.

Levi Johnston screwed Bristol Palin at least once. Now a judge is putting the screws to him for not making good on required child support payments for their son.

Last week, he was ordered to pay $18,500 in back child support for 13-month-old son Tripp, or approximately $18,488 more than a box of condoms runs at CVS.

Now he's being told to cough up another $3,500, ASAP. Where will he get that kind of cash on short notice? Time for another round of Levi Johnston nude pics!

To be fair, Levi didn't do anything wrong ... at least anything additional.

Levi Johnston has a lot of bills to pay.

Long story short: an Alaska judge re-ran the numbers and determined the $18,000 in child support payments Bristol Palin requested from Levi was way too low.

So now, according to legal papers filed this week back home, Levi is on the hook for $21,561.12. Rough times for an aspiring actor and occasional naked model.

This is serious business, too. If Levi doesn't fork over the cash in a timely manner, he could face some serious consequences. We're talking fines and possibly jail.

It's a good thing Levi Johnston posed for Playgirl: as a result, he should be able to actually support his son.

An Alaskan judge has sided with Bristol Palin and ordered Levi to pay $18,500 in back child support for 13-month-old son Tripp. The deadbeat father could have saved about $18,485 if he had just bought a pack of condoms back in the day.

Johnston must also shell out $1,688.42 per month in child support.

Their sham of an engagement over, Bristol and Levi have gone from making public appearances to support Sarah Palin's political future to fighting it out in a courtroom.

"Bristol is pleased with the court rulings today and looks forward to resolving the remaining issues with Levi," said lawyer Thomas Van Flein, one of the few family employees that has not resigned due to Sarah Palin's selfish lunacy.

Bristol was present in the courtroom for the ruling. Johnston was not.

"I have received limited and sporadic financial assistance from Levi," she said in a statement, citing Johnston's $105,000 in 2009 earnings, versus his meager payments to her of $4,400.

Where will the pair go from here? Johnston might actually guest star on Desperate Housewives, while Bristol is booked for a hypocritical appearance on The Secret Life of an American Teenager. It's an ironic title for a show on which she'll cameo.

After all, Sarah Palin has gone out of her way to make sure Bristol's life is anything but secret.

Levi Johnston recently offered a classic defense of his deadbeat dad status, essentially claiming he is a mere deadbeat - he's got no cash to pay child support.

You need to have money and be withholding it to be a deadbeat dad, after all, and he says that's not so. Baby mama Bristol Palin, however, is not buying it.

Taking time away from calling out Family Guy on Facebook, Bristol has subpoenaed CNN, Playgirl and others to prove Levi is a liar earning more than he says.

A lawyer for Sarah Palin's daughter is scoffing at legal documents filed by Team Levi, which claim the teen he earned a mere pittance over the last few years.

Thus, he cannot pay the $1,688.42 a month in child support Bristol Palin seeks. We doubt that, and so does Bristol, who's calling his bluff in a court of law.

The gloves are coming off in this hilarious family feud.

Palin's lawyer issued subpoenas today to CNN, Playgirl, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Star Magazine, and The National Enquirer to discern how much they paid.

What Team Bristol believes is a smoking gun is Johnston's dubious claim in a court declaration that he made no more than $10,000 a year prior to last year, 2009.

But in the new docs, Palin's lawyer attached Levi's pay stub from 2008, showing that he raked in $18,594.50 from one employer - a construction company in Alaska.

If he lied about that, imagine what he's lying about regarding the half-dozen celebrity gossip programs and publications listed above. Clearly they paid him a little.

Also, come on. Playgirl is no Playboy, but those Levi Johnston nude photo spreads were big sellers! Surely he got a big ass advance or some royalties, right?
