Leighton Meester No Longer Being Sued By Mom
Leighton Meester can breathe a little easier this holiday season, now that mom Constance Meester has jettisoned a gargantuan $3 million lawsuit against her daughter.
Connie stated that she "sacrificed her happiness" to help Leighton pursue acting and the Gossip Girl star is legally bound to support her, E! News has confirmed.
She's now backing off, but is Leighton ready to do the same?
The actress' attorney says that she is still seeking a judgment against Constance that will state, in no uncertain terms, that she does not owe her mom any support.
"Leighton is seeking declaratory relief from the court, which we hope to have wrapped up in the near future," says lawyer James Spertus. Her rep had no comment.
In a previous court filing, Leighton stated that Constance took money she sent for her sick brother's care and spent it on plastic surgery and other frivolous things.

January 30 marks the 100th installment of the CW hit we know and love, and on Saturday night, the cast celebrated the completion of its filming with a red carpet event at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. It was, as expected, a stylish affair.
In addition to their male co-stars, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were on hand, albeit a few hours late, leaving the cameras breathlessly awaiting their arrival. Both stars were a bit under-dressed for the cold weather ... but looked fabulous.

Leighton Meester on Mom's Lawsuit: Get Outta Town!
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has had it with her mom.
The actress has filed a petition with Los Angeles Superior Court asking a judge to throw out Constance Meester's lawsuit - for $3 million, citing breach of contract - as a "matter of law" on the grounds that the allegations are frivolous.
This is one ugly mother-daughter relationship. Why?
Leighton's lawyers say her mom is suing over "a non-existent ‘management agreement;" "an alleged ‘support agreement" and "an alleged settlement agreement."
The very notion that the star had an oral contract to pay her mother $10,000 a month for life is ridiculous, they say, and the fact that Leighton has been giving her money up until now - $7,500 a month in fact - means nothing.
"None of these agreements are valid or enforceable as a matter of law," the filing states.
Leighton Meester Seeking Custody of Brother?
We know Leighton Meester is suing her mom. And getting sued by her mom. Now, new reports say she wants custody of her younger brother Lex as well.
Leighton regularly sent money to her mother, Constance Meester, who served as her daughter's manager before Leighton fired her earlier this year.
The actress, 25, says this money for her brother's health needs, and that her mother used the money to get cosmetic surgeries for herself instead.
It is not known how old Lex is, or what condition(s) he suffers from. But Constance just countersued Leighton, claiming she owes her even more ... and that the 25-year-old actress came at her wielding a bottle.
Now The Roommate star just wants to make sure Lex is alright.
"Leighton is disgusted by her mother and is determined to get her brother Lex out of that situation," an insider reveals. "She wants Lex to leave their mother's California home and come to live with her in New York."

There aren't a lot of XOXOs being exchanged between Leighton and Connie Meester. The Gossip Girl star and her mom are engaged in a war of words.
Words and dueling lawsuits.
Connie is firing back after Leighton sued her last week, claiming in a new countersuit that the actress threw her to the ground back in December.
Leighton is accused of "repeatedly hitting her with a bottle" in a blinding rage, allegedly so crazed she had to be pulled off her mom by her brother.
Connie Meester concedes that Leighton sends her $7,500 a month, but not, as Leighton says, out of the goodness of the Gossip Girl star's heart.
Leighton says she sends that amount every month to pay for her brother's serious medical expenses, and that her mom pilfers the cash for herself.
The elder Meester claims this is all part of a settlement for the money she helped make for her daughter, and she may use it however she desires.
Leighton Meester Serves Mom With Lawsuit
Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and her mother are at odds, to say the least, and the reason the star is suing her mom is not just some petty gripe.
Leighton alleges that Constance Meester has been using considerable sums money meant for her son's medical care on plastic surgery for herself.
According to the suit, Leighton sends $7,500 a month to her mother to care for her younger brother, Lex, who suffers from severe medical issues.
Constance, in turn, uses it for plastic surgery, Botox and hair extensions.
The suit also accuses Constance of threatening Leighton with a $3 million lawsuit unless she started sending $10,000 a month instead of $7,500.
The Roommate star wants a judge to declare that there was never an oral contract in place suggesting she agreed to do so (as her mom alleges).
Constance Meester famously gave birth to her famous daughter while in federal prison for her part in a ring that smuggled drugs from Jamaica.
Earlier this year, the 54-year-old had a restraining order filed against her by Laurel Wigg, whose son attended school with Meester's son.
According to Wigg's request, Meester allegedly promised to "hunt down and kill" Wigg and her son. Leighton then fired her as her manager.
