There's a romance brewing between a Dancing With the Stars pro and former queen of the Hills. Derek Hough and Lauren Conrad are totally dating!

"They've been on a few dates together," a source says.

The two raised many an eyebrow at Jason Scoppa's weekly live show at the Sayers Club in Hollywood: "They were pretty cozy. Definitely playful and flirty."

"They were close to each other," the source explained of LC and DH. "He had his arm around her waist. They were dancing and also holding hands."

When they left, celebrity news photographers snapped away, but the two didn't stand too close together. A security guy also tried to block the shots.

Lauren Conrad most recently ended a long relationship with actor Kyle Howard in June, while Hough was linked to former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes may or may not be dating his longtime friend Lauren Conrad, but we can all agree that the girl is a bona fide cutie.

Since LC's split in June from Kyle Howard, she's been spotted flirting up a storm with Haynes. But he downplayed it to Ryan Seacrest on Monday.

"I've known Lauren for about four-and-a-half years now," Haynes told Seacrest, who asked about the rumor. "We're really just good friends."

"She's cute," Seacrest said, prompting Haynes to second his assessment. "I would say yes," the 23-year-old actor agreed. "She definitely is."

"She's definitely smart. She might have more jobs than you!"

The duo was spotted last week at W. Hollywood's Trousdale, where she was also flirty with her ex-BF, Kyle Howard. Conrad and Haynes were first seen exchanging phone numbers at a bash - and then hitting a club - in July.

The MTV star admitted he and the celebrity fashion designer "hang out a lot" and gushed, "She's great!" Think they would make a cute pair?

No, this isn't an article from 2007 that we misfiled.

The Hills and Laguna Beach alum Jason Wahler, whose DUI arrests, fights and stints in rehab kept us busy for several years, says he's a changed man.

As such, "I wanted to make amends with Lauren [Conrad]," he tells People. "She was a big part of my life and there's stuff that I needed to address."

Now 24 and sober for over a year, Wahler currently works in Costa Mesa, Calif., at National Therapeutic Services as a mentor and sober companion.

"It feels good to give back," says Wahler, who recently completed Celebrity Rehab, and contacted Lauren Conrad after feeling comfortable in recovery.

"She's an incredible person and so supportive of anything I do to stay clean," he says. "But the timing had to be right before I reached back out."

Is Lauren Conrad moving on from Kyle Howard?

A source tells Us Weekly that the former star of The Hills and current author / fashion designer is "enamored" with Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes.

Apparently it's mutual. The two shared a table at the HTC Status phone launch on July 20, and sources say there was a "flirty energy" in the air.

While an LC insider says "they are friends and have known each other forever," a witness is more affirmative: "She was into him, and vice versa."

"They went to a club afterward."

Haynes actually appeared on two episodes of The Hills when Conrad interned at Teen Vogue, so there's a history there. But there's a catch ...

A source says Conrad still speaks every day with Kyle Howard, who she split up with after three years, in May: "They may get back together."

Three year of blissful dating came to an end last week, as Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard shocked the celebrity gossip world by breaking up.

What happened?!?

"He saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro," an insider says in the latest issue of Us Weekly. "He wasn't supportive of her career."

With an upcoming role on Royal Pains, and a critically-beloved turn on My Boys, Howard does have a bright acting career in front of him. He reportedly felt like LC's reality star roots weren't an appropriate fit.

"All of her friends can count on one hand the amount of times they've seen him," said a source, adding that "Lauren is heartbroken... She wants to be married and have kids."

Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard have broken up after three years of dating.

People confirmed the split late Friday, though neither party has commented.

The former reality star, 25, and actor, 33, deliberately kept their romance far away from cameras. But they have been spotted out and about all over Hollywood since they began dating in 2008 and never seemed anything but happy.

It's sad news, obviously, whenever a good relationship ends. But another will come along. When one door closes, another opens.

Remember, LC, today is when your book begins. The rest is still unwritten.

Lauren Conrad has gone back to blonde. She told Chelsea Handler on E!’s Chelsea Lately that it's because of a poll she ran on her website to let fans decide.

“I did a poll on my website I just launched, of whether I should stay brown or go blonde, and blonde won,” she said, although she doesn't look blonde.

Conrad went on to explain that her newly dyed locks - a blend of different colors - were meant to emulate "surfer-girl hair." Chelsea was a bit envious:

LC also discussed MTV's decision not to air her new reality show, which got Handler going on 16 and Pregnant, the Kardashians and so on.

Despite having a job at E!, Chelsea has no qualms about shredding some of the network's other stars ... or whomever else she wants. It's great.

On launching Paper Crown sans MTV: “It’s easier to launch the line without MTV. A lot of people in fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down.”

On why MTV negged her show: “It didn’t feel like a perfect fit."

"It’s difficult to compete with the Jersey Shore-type shows out there. Besides, there weren’t any scenes of me getting drunk or fighting, so what’s the point?”

Lauren Conrad is launching a site called The Beauty Department. She certainly knows a thing or two about that department, so it sounds like a nice fit.

TheBeautyDepartment (dot) com is a collaboration between the former star of The Hills, her hairstylist and makeup artist, Kristen Ess and Amy Nadine.

After the news broke this February about her new reality show getting the boot, it's nice to see that LC has taken her expertise to a different medium.
