Happy Thanksgiving to all from The Hollywood Gossip!

What would this holiday be without family, food, football and reflection upon the things we appreciate most ... in the case of THG, that means turkeys of a different sort.

On this 22nd of November, we're paying tribute to stars we had the honor and the burden of covering in 2012. We are talking fowl individuals here ... real bird brains.

Without further ado, THG's Top 10 Turkeys of 2012 ...

Spencer Pratt is a Turkey

Who will win the Sixth Annual Spencer Pratt Thanksgiving Turkey Award!?

10. Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden (tie). One's a relentless fame whore married to a man three times her age. The other cost himself a good shot at the presidency thanks to 47 percent-style gaffes and never deciding what kind of candidate he felt like being. Really, we just wanted to make web history with the first-ever use of Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden in the same sentence.

What is Lance Armstrong trying to say, exactly, with the photo below and the accompanying caption he Tweeted, "Back in Austin and just layin' around ... "

We honestly have no earthly idea.

Armstrong is, of course, just layin' around in front of the seven Tour de France yellow jerseys he won - symbols of wins the International Cycling Union just stripped from him.

It has all come crashing down for Lance Armstrong.

In the face of new drug charges and having been stripped of seven Tour de France titles, Armstrong was fired this week from his role as a Nike spokesperson.

"Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him," the company said in a statement.

Such evidence includes testimony from 11 ex-teammates who all allege Armstrong used performance-enhancing drugs.

Lance Armstrong and his team ran a sophisticated and professional doping scheme for years, according to 11 of the cycling legend's former teammates.

A report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency details the complete case against Armstrong, 41, who was stripped of his Tour de France titles this summer.

Dope

It contains testimony from 11 of his former U.S. Postal Service teammates. Lance has always denied doping but has not contested these charges.

USADA chief executive Travis Tygart said there was "conclusive and undeniable proof" of a team-run doping conspiracy headed by the all-time great.

Lance Armstrong will be banned from cycling and stripped of his seven Tour de France titles by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the organization said in a stunning announcement last night.

The punishment stems from drug charges brought against the world famous cyclist that he is declining to fight.

"There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, 'Enough is enough.' For me, that time is now," Armstrong said in a statement sent to The Associated Press, referring to the USADA's investigation an "unconstitutional witch hunt."

After refusing to follow though with an arbitration process that could officially clear his name, Armstrong added:

"I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999. The toll this has taken on my family and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today -- finished with this nonsense."

According to a letter sent this week to Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France champion is facing new charges from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that threaten to strip him of those titles.

The 15-page document, obtained by The Washington Post, says the USDA took blood samples from Armstrong in 2009 and 2010 that were tested and proved to be “fully consistent with blood manipulation including EPO use and/or blood transfusions.”

In accordance with these charges, Armstrong is currently barred from triathlon competition, a sport he took up not long after retiring from cycling in 2011.

In a statement released by his publicist, Armstrong says:

“I have never doped, and, unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one. That USADA ignores this fundamental distinction and charges me instead of the admitted dopers says far more about USADA, its lack of fairness and this vendetta than it does about my guilt or innocence. Any fair consideration of these allegations has and will continue to vindicate me.”

The letter in question names "more than 10 cyclists" as having "firsthand knowledge" of "long running doping conspiracy" involving Armstrong and a quintet of former cycling team associates.

Of course, even if these allegations are proven true, they wouldn't be the most embarrassing facts about the star athlete to come out. He did once date Ashley Olsen, after all.

Do you think Lance Armstrong took performance enhancing drugs?

Looks like congratulations are in order for cycling champion Lance Armstrong: he's expecting his fifth child, and second with girlfriend Anna Hansen!

Lance announced the news this way: by creating a Twitter account for the kid, "Cincoarmstrong." That may be the lamest thing we've ever heard.

Britney, Sean

The quote-unquote baby's first entries: "I got 2 arms, 2 legs, a nickname, and [I’m] 2 inches long. See y'all in October..." Lance, honestly dude?

The joyous cheese-fest continued with this: "I'm now the size of a lemon, 3.5 inches long, and weigh 1.5 ounces. And oh yeah, I'm on Twitter."

Maybe John Mayer has a point after all.

Anna Hansen is pregnant! Again!

Added the soon-to-be dad via his own Twitter.: "What to say? Yet another blessing in our lives. I cannot wait!" Seriously, we are happy for them.

The star then confirmed the news to his hometown paper, the Austin-American Statesmen. The future child's future name will be Jack or Olivia.

Armstrong and Anna Hansen welcomed son Maxwell Edward just 10 months ago.

The Tour de France winner / cancer survivor has three kids with ex-wife Kristin.

By pretending to Twitter as though he were his newborn son, Lance Armstrong almost ruined a magical moment.

Still, it's easy to forgive the seven-time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor for such lameness. After all, he survived cancer and won the Tour de France seven times!

Yesterday, the cyclist and girlfriend Anna Hansen were all smiles as they brought home Armstrong's fourth kid from the hospital in Aspen, Colorado.

"We have a a house full of family. All here to see the little man," Armstrong Tweeted. "He's so amazing."

There's no word yet on whether Lance, who injured his collar bone during a race this year, is healthy enough to take on the Tour de France field again in July. But we wouldn't bet against him.

Lance Armstrong now only needs three more children to match the number of Tour de France titles he owns.

The cancer surviving cyclist and girlfriend Anna Hansen welcomed a boy into the world yesterday. His name is Max.

Alba and Honor

Armstrong alerted fans to the news via Twitter.

"Wassup, world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My mommy is healthy and so am I!"

Wow. Tweeting at age 37 minutes? This kid might actually top his father's impressive accomplishments.
