As you may already know, Lady Gaga shaved her head.

Now she's gotten a nice tattoo smack in the bald spot.

The Mother Monster arrived at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on New York's Upper East Side Thursday night perched on a convertible as part of the launch of her new Fame perfume. There, she unveiled the product ... and her newest ink.

The tattoo's got a Honey Boo Boo look to it, no?

The singer has posted many pictures on LittleMonsters (dot) com from the event ... we suggest you check those out, as well as THG's gallery of classic Lady Gaga pics.

What do you think of her latest tattoo? Awesome? Awful?

Lady Gaga is showing off her freshest ink to her Little Monsters.

Having previously seen Gaga's ARTPOP tattoo (an allusion to her new album title), fans were treated to the first look at the newest tattoo on the singer, who is still promoting 2011's smash Born This Way in Europe.

Gaga captioned the pic below: “New Tat. Stamp of His Mermaid.”

The 26-year-old Mother Monster later added, “Thanks Hank and @amstattoomuseum for my New Ink!! We miss you already, see you at the ball!”

Two burning questions:

  1. Is it just us or is Lady Gaga looking hotter than usual in the pic above?
  2. What do you think of her tattoo(s)? Share in the comments!

Lady Gaga tweeted a pic of her new tattoo this morning, along with a possible hint that the fresh ink also represents the name of her forthcoming album.

Along with the pic below, Gaga Tweeted "New Ink, New Album," to her 27 million-plus followers, sparking rumors that the tat may have special meaning.

It says ARTPOP. Think that'll be her follow-up to Born This Way?

The singer, who is still promoting 2011's smash BTW in Europe, also has her new, signature fragrance coming out, as evidenced by a deluge of ads for Fame.

She said earlier that she will "shed light" on her next album in September.

Little Monsters will have to wait until then for more details, but until then, feel free to speculate (and browse many Lady Gaga pictures) on THG!

It's not exactly far-fetched when you think about it, but did you know that Kat Von D once tattooed the Mother Monster? Well, now you do - and can watch it!

The L.A. Ink finale was last, but far more noteworthy than anything that took place on the show is this footage of Kat Von D and Lady Gaga back in 2008.

You know Gaga wasn't a global superstar just yet because she's still wearing pants (albeit metallic blue spandex ones) as she converses with the tattoo artiste:

"You're from New York, right?" Von D asks. "Yeah, I was born and raised in Manhattan, and I just moved out here," Lady Gaga replies, almost quaintly.

"I'm a singer, but I'm also a songwriter for other artists, so I've just been workin' and doing shows." We'd say it's worked out fairly well for her since.

Apparently Kat, who is responsible for some of the better known celebrity tattoos out there, did some of the roses that adorn Gaga's body. Fun fact!
