As we reported yesterday, a set of photos taken by Nick Knight for Japan's "Vogue Hommes" feature a (presumably) male model by the name of Jo Calderone.

A significant number of sources claim, however, that "Jo" is actually Lady Gaga's alter ego, and that the "Poker Face" singer went incognito for the photo shoot.

Seriously, people think this guy is her.

The only definitive connection between the two is stylist Nicola Formicetti, but some Gaga fans remain adamant. "I'd put money on it," said one observer.

Think it's her? Check him/her out ...

Is this Vogue Japan model actually Lady Gaga in drag?

"The nose gives it away to start. Then the eyes, then the girly mouth." The apparent lack of Adam's apple would be another clue, THG readers have opined.

Other evidence and theories circulating online:

  • The mystery model's first name, Jo, corresponds with Gaga's middle name, Joanne (her birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta).
  • ABC News points out that "Jo Calderone" is an anagram of "Alejandro" ... with an extra c and o. Brilliant detective work there, ABC News.
  • Last year's Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors not only failed to rankle the star - she seemed to embrace, even feed into that bit of gossip.

What do you think? Is it her? Vote below ...

Rumors are circulating this morning that a seemingly male model appearing in Vogue Hommes Japan may be none other than pop star Lady Gaga in disguise.

You be the judge!

Stylist Nicola Formichetti posted the picture below (left) and others like it to his website with no explanation as to who the model is, or even his or her gender.

Some fans insist this is the latest outrageous look from the singer known for them ... this is not as weird as the Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumor, but close.

It does look kinda like her ... but is it? Inspect and vote below!

“This woman is a jerk. I hate her." - Jerry Seinfeld on Lady Gaga

While the comedian was (partially) joking in an interview with New York's WFAN radio, he's definitely not gaga over the singer's recent baseball game antics.

"I can’t believe that they put her in my box, which I paid for," Seinfeld said, referring to Lady Gaga's bizarre, profanity-laced meltdown June 10 at Citi Field.

Gaga showed up during the fifth inning of the day game between the Mets and Padres and was furious that her front-row seats were close to photographers.

Instead of sitting, she vanished into a lower-deck concourse, only to reappear in a little bit later in the empty luxury box owned by Seinfeld, a big Mets fan.

"You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?" he said. "How old is the finger? How’d it even get to be the finger?"

Oh, and what is the DEAL with wearing a bra as a top?

"She is talented," said Seinfeld. "I don’t know why she’s doing this stuff. I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers."

He then expounded on her antics: "I'm not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about you need exposure - you could die of exposure."

Well, there's one person who won't be buying Gaga's new album.

When the WFAN host pointed out to Seinfeld that Gaga was at the rival Yankees' game on Friday, Seinfeld said, "Oh please, wake me when it's over."

"So you've had enough of her?" Steve Somers asked Jerry.

"Yeah," Seinfeld said. "I wish her the best," but then added in one final dig at Lady Gaga, "you take one 'A' off of that and you've got gag."

Not one of the best Seinfeld quotes ever ... but good.

Okay, we just made up the second part of the headline above. But based on her recent Yankee game spectacle, do you have any doubt that this is true?

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, which features Lady Gaga in a machine gun bra on the cover, the "Poker Face" singer is looking forward to next year.

She's finished recording her newest album and is planning an early 2011 release, the name of which she will announce at midnight on New Year's Eve.

"I think I'm gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo," she said. "I've been working on it for months, and I feel very strongly that it's finished now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day."

Let's Go Yankees!

Lady Gaga displays her Yankees pride ... and breasts.

Gaga added that unlike her debut, The Fame, and 2009's follow-up, The Fame Monster, the new disc will have more political, even angry overtones, tackling hot-button issues close to the crooner's heart, such as gays in the military.

"Why are we still talking about 'Don't ask, don't tell?' exclaimed Gaga to the magazine. "It's like, what f*%king year is it? It just makes me crazy!"

"I have been for three years baking cakes. Now I'm going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly," she adds. "The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."

We don't really follow, but we're looking forward to another year of outrageous hit songs, videos, quotes and Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors.

The machine gun bra is not exactly a look one sees every day. Then again, the woman donning the heavy artillery underwear is not your everyday girl next door.

This is probably the only way to outdo last year's Lady Gaga nude Rolling Stone cover - Gaga nude except for semi-automatic weapons protruding from her chest.

Those are some serious guns ...

STRAPPED: Lady Gaga heats up Rolling Stone in more ways than one.

The magazine may have jumped the shark years ago, but it's sure to get people talking with this issue. Although we personally prefer her spilling out of a Yankees jersey.

Where does this latest attempt to shock and awe us rank with Gaga's best?

Should she tone it down, or should she have pushed the envelope further? Would you have liked to see her totally nude, with bigger guns, or covered up for a change?

Discuss!

By switches teams, we're talking about New York baseball, not in a sexual sense (if Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors were true, though, she'd be playing for both).

Her harrowing experience at Citi Field last week was apparently enough for Gaga to switch allegiances to the Mets' crosstown rivals. She's all for the Yankees now!

Mya Fashion Choice

The Bronx Bombers might want to return her.

On the one hand, she brought the home team little luck last night, as the visiting Mets blanked them 4-0. On the other hand, she at least gave the fans an eyeful:

This is standard baseball-watching attire when you're Lady Gaga.

Rocking the pinstriped jersey, unbuttoned of course, over a fashionable black bra and panties, she and two female friends sat in a VIP box and were very into the game.

The native New Yorker got surprisingly ticked off by the attention she received at last week's Mets contest, but certainly wasn't going for inconspicuous Friday evening.

Lady Gaga was even seen downing a beer which she explained in a Tweet to her fans, "I just kicked my ass in the gym, time to wash it down with an ice cold NY beer."

Not a lot we can add to that - sounds fun to us! Just button that thing up next time, will you Gaga? George Steinbrenner would be rolling in his grave if he saw this.

UPDATE: Apparently Lady Gaga paid the Yankees clubhouse a visit after their loss, and according to the New York Post, this visit was not authorized by the team.

According to the Post, she was drunk on Jameson's Irish Whiskey, groping her chest and was slurring her words, prompting Yankees GM Brian Cashman to ban her.

However, in the aftermath of the incident, the team's stance softened a bit, with Cashman lifting the ban slightly - Lady Gaga is not banned, per se, just restricted.

Currently, the conditions of the pop star hanging around the team are as follows: Gaga can talk with Yankees players, just not in the clubhouse and not after a loss.

Can't a rumored hermaphrodite just watch a ballgame in peace?

Apparently, Lady Gaga decided to check out the Mets game Thursday in New York, which is cool, since she's from New York, and celebrities go to games a lot.

Lady Gaga on GMA

They usually get good seats, too, and because of that and merely being celebrities, are often photographed. It's just sort of what happens in that situation.

Well, apparently Lady Gaga of all people is not keen on this.

When she showed up in her traditional costume, the "Alejeandro" singer took issue with people photographing her and had to be moved to a luxury suite.

There, she continued to flip off the photographers.

Wait ... Lady Gaga doesn't want her photo taken?

We love the girl, but call us crazy here - when has Lady Gaga ever not clamored for attention? It's part of her act. You can't just turn it on and off at will.

Showing up to a game in full "Telephone" garb is not exactly inconspicuous either. Did she really expect any different as one of the top stars in music?

If there's any silver lining here for Gaga, it's that Kristen Stewart wins for worst paparazzi attack of the year ... even though hers was strictly verbal.

After a brief tease the other day, Lady Gaga has released the full video for her newest hit, "Alejandro," and it's as epic and brazenly self-indulgent as you think.

At this point, did you expect anything less from Lady Gaga?

Filmed by acclaimed photographer Steven Klein, Gaga calls the nine-minute video pure "celebration of [her] love and appreciation for the gay community."

That might explain the shirtless men with bowl cuts dancing in high heels, plus Gaga stripping for them in a giant orgy, plus the obligatory Catholic imagery.

It's as if she wants it to be controversial or something.

She's set the bar high (musically, and with Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors), so she's got a lot to live up to. Does "Alejeandro" do it? Watch and vote ...

What do you think of Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" video?

Lady Gaga made many memorable remarks on Larry King Live this week, touching on subjects as diverse as testing positive for lupus and her own drug use.

But perhaps the most poignant topic of discussion was that she was set to duet with Michael Jackson on his This Is It tour last summer before Jackson died.

Pearly Face

"I was actually asked to open for Michael at The O2 [arena]," she told Larry. "There was some talk about openers doing collaborations with Michael onstage."

"Michael's death was devastating for me regardless of whether or not I was supposed to tour with him. He is an inspiration and remarkable human being."

On a somewhat related note, Gaga declared that she would "rather die onstage" than "under a palm tree" and also went on to explain her fixation on death.

DEATH BECOMES HER: Lady Gaga has always had a fascination with tragic icons, and of morbidly shocking performances on stage. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com]

It manifests itself as a recurring theme in her shows, and stems from a longtime idolization of such tragic icons as Princess Diana - and now Michael Jackson.

"My fascination with the demise of the celebrity goes along with me watching these hugely iconic and amazing people that I have heralded and admired my whole life become destroyed, whether self-destroyed or destroyed by the media," she said.

But despite her obsession with the issue and envelope-pushing, blood-soaked performances, the outrageous star insisted, "I'm not interested in violence."

Amputated legs? Perpetuating hermaphrodite rumors? Possibly. But violence, no. She'd never simulate her own murder on stage or anything like that.

It seems like just a few months ago that we were buzzing over Lady Gaga's "Telephone" music video. We suppose it was. But she's already got a new hit.

On the singer's CNN appearance Tuesday night, she told Larry King that the music video for her current single, "Alejandro," will be premiering very soon.

She explained that the video has a "homoerotic military theme."

Well, sure, all the good ones do. While it won't address hermaphrodite rumors the way "Telephone" did, it does contain an important theme for Lady G.

"It is a celebration of my love and appreciation for the gay community, my admiration of their bravery, love for one another and their courage," said Gaga.

The new video, directed by fashion photographer Steven Klein, is at least partially in black and white. Watch the clip below and tell us what you think:
