Wow. You don't see Lady Gaga bottled up too often. Get it?!?!

Celebrity fragrances are nothing new. Paris Hilton and other stars have made a fortune by slapping their name on them. But Lady Gaga entering the mix?

Gaga at the Piano

Something about that seems off to us. Maybe because she's got actual singing talent? Or because we're afraid her signature scent will be sirloin steak?

In any case, Coty Inc. signed her to a "multi-product deal" and the first scent in her collection is due to hit shelves in Spring 2012. Brilliance takes time.

Stephen Mormoris, senior VP of global marketing, called The Fame singer "a fascinating cultural force" who will make a splash in the fragrance market.

What do you think her fragrance will smell like? Fireworks? Frog legs? Lobsters? The inside of a jail cell? Used fishnets? Various cuts of meat? Discuss!

When most of us catch a flight at LAX, we don't show up in our finest weave, panties, fishnets, "Solid Gold" dancer jacket, handcuffs, 12-inch heels and little else.

Then again, Miss Lady Gaga is not most of us. When you're a pop star, style icon and rumored hermaphrodite, you do what you want - and always make a statement.

Hey, at least it's not a meat dress ...

Lady Gaga probably has more leg room in First Class at least.

"I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse." - Lady Gaga

Even by Lady Gaga standards, the meat dress she wore at the MTV VMAs was a bit of a fashion risk. She looked pretty tasty, though ... in more ways than one.

At first glance, she looked fairly unassuming when she accepted the award for Video of the Year (one of eight she won on the night). But when you look closely ...

Lady Gaga Meat Dress

You can expect Lady Gaga will be grilled over this fashion choice.

The "Bad Romance" singer explained the outrageous, juicy getup as such:

“Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian, because as you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth."

"However, it has many interpretations. For me this evening, if we don’t stand up for what we believe in and fight for our rights pretty soon, we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.”

There you have it. Tell us, though, did she cross the line with this one? Or is it among her best ever? What do you think of Lady Gaga's meat dress?

This is an unusual story: a woman named Yana Morgana claims that Lady Gaga is only famous due to her late daughter, Lina Morgana.

That 19-year old committed suicide a couple years ago, but not before she was introduced to the singer (then Stefani Germanotta) in 2007. Yana tells The New York Post that it was Lina's dark, edgy style that inspired Germanotta to become Lady Gaga.

Morgana is now seeking the rights to release the songs her daughter recorded with Gaga.

Ga Ga Rah-Ah-Ah-AH

Did Lina Morgana inspire the Lady Gaga we know today?

"I'm doing this because I want to keep her spirit alive," Yana told the newspaper. "Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul, and I want her soul to be free."

Added the grieving mother: "Every other word she says is from Lina. She talks about having a dark and tragic life, but she had everything she wanted in the world. She went to [the same] high school as Nicky Hilton, her parents were rich. But Lina did have a tough life, and she often talked about her tragic life."

Only Lady GaGa would be able to pose as a lingerie-clad Statue of Liberty and NOT have this be her most ridiculous magazine cover of the month.

Indeed, the eccentric artist is featured in the latest issue of Vogue Japan, wearing nothing at all... except for slabs of meat. We actually prefer this look to the ridiculous outfit Gaga strolled around in last month. You might say this singer has raised the STEAKS in the fashion world.

Get it?!?

Do you find this pose shocking, sexy... or appetizing?

Lady Gaga has become an American icon herself in these modern times. Here our girl embodies one of our enduring symbols, the Statue of Liberty, as only she can.

In lacy black lingerie.

Rihanna in Vogue

Wearing her "Poker Face" and little else, the NYC native channels the Big Apple's best known Lady for the "New York Issue" of fashion magazine V. Check it out:

Lady Gaga puts a new spin on the quintessential New York symbol.

With designer Marc Jacobs close by, the 24-year-old's long, blonde hair is sculpted into Lady Liberty's famous crown as she clutches a burning paper torch in the latest of many memorable Lady Gaga pictures from recent years.

V editor Stephen Gan says: "Just as the Statue of Liberty was France's gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York's greatest gift to pop culture and fashion... she has become a bonafide genius and we can safely declare her our muse."

Gaga as Lady Liberty: What do you think?

Lady Gaga doesn't stay in tip top shape while traveling the globe and rocking the house every night by accident. Nor did she at all for a bit there.

Still, she lets us in on some diet secrets here.

With the demands of performing, recording, and being one of her generation's top pop stars in general, Lady Gaga has a lot on her plate - and has to make sure what she puts on it, too, after fainting during a concert in New Zealand this year.

Ga Ga Rah-Ah-Ah-AH

It's hard work being Lady Gaga, but someone's gotta do it.

"It's all about salsa with grain chips, tofu, turkey slices, hummus and coconut water," says LaurieAnn Gibson, her choreographer, who is nominated for two MTV VMAs for helping engineer Gaga's "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" videos.

As we reported over the weekend, Lady Gaga has usurped Britney Spears as the new Queen of Twitter. She's now #1 in followers among ALL HUMANS.

But what good is a monarch without respect for the people they serve, a few edicts - and a costume crafted in honor of the social networking site?

Not a lot if you ask us.

"I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me," she said in the inauguration video below. "Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen. May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting, may you never have carpal tunnel."

"I vow to never partake in celebrity online shenanigans. And I vow to always tweet and tweet again," she said ... before getting called to rehearsal.

With 5,771,673 followers at last count, Lady Gaga has assumed a larger lead on Spears (5,719,432) in the last couple of days, so it looks like this queen isn't being voted out anytime soon. Which makes sense. Queens and democracy don't mix.

One burst on the scene in the late 1990s and became one of the most successful pop artists of all-time, dominating sales and headlines throughout the next decade.

The other made a name for herself in the late 2000s and, while her career is still in its early stages, looks poised for a decade comparable to that of her predecessor.

It's little surprise that Britney Spears and Lady Gaga are battling for Twitter supremacy, given their hit songs, controversial images and impact on popular culture.

Right now, Gaga leads at 5,713,469 followers. Britney has 5,695,008. Ashton Kutcher, who Spears just passed to temporarily claim the #1 spot, has 5,568,785.

  • Still Sort of a Mess
  • Typical Gaga Outfit

Who would you rather ... follow on a social network?

Buoyed by a year and a half of smash hit singles, outrageous outfits and Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors, the "Bad Romance" singer leads on Facebook as well.

Spears, whose celebrity status has proved as bulletproof as it is long-lasting and enormous despite various mishaps, isn't doing too shabbily on that site, either.

Who will reign supreme as the Queen of All Social Media? At least until Justin Bieber decides he will become #1 and does so immediately? Only time will tell.

When California's controversial Prop 8 was overturned last week, many members of the Hollywood community took to the streets (and Twitter) in celebration.

No one was more thrilled to see the gay marriage ban lifted by an appellate judge than Lady Gaga, a longtime champion of gay and lesbian rights and issues.

On Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show Wednesday, Gaga said she was elated, saying "Oh my gosh, I felt like it was a revolution, a gunshot went off."

"It was like setting everything into rotation, it was so exciting," the singer said. "For me, it was a moment that indicates it can happen in every state now."

While being straight herself, Lady Gaga has long been an unabashed, vocal supporter of gay marriage. And outrageous fashion. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline]

"It has been important for so long, we've been fighting about it for so long," the rumored hermaphrodite continued. "I've been fighting for it for so long."

Gaga mentioned during the interview that she wrote a song called "Future Love" about the gay community's struggles to win the right to legally marry.

Hopefully, the judge's determination that Prop 8 was a violation of the Constitution's equal protection clause under the 14th Amendment stands for good.
