Lady Gaga sat down with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes this week.

Among the many revelations in the program's nearly 15-minute feature on the singer, which aired just before Gaga's Grammy performance on CBS:

  • She considers herself a student, and the master, of fame.
  • She prefers to be called her real name, Stefani, in bed.
  • She sees herself in her fans, who are "all superstars."

From her musings on the celebrity gossip game to her thoughts on fashion, family and music, Gaga comes across well in the interview, don't you think?

Egged on to up the ante for each of her live performances, Lady GaGa took things to a new extreme at the Grammy Awards.

She showed up on the red carpet inside a shell, and proceeded to belt out a rendition of her latest single, "Born This Way." Is this song just a copy of a Madonna classic? That's up to listeners to decide.

But one thing is certain: The Material Girl never hatched herself on stage in order to kick off a performance. Watch GaGa do just that below and then grade her Grammy gig: What do you think?

Dear Lady GaGa: We get it. You're eccentric.

The singer arrived at the 2011 Grammy Awards tonight in an egg. Yes, an egg. We swear, the multi-nominated artist is in there somewhere...

Lady Gaga at the Grammys

At some point, GaGa may need to do the most shocking thing of all: arrive at an awards ceremony in a simple dress. Otherwise, we fear the extreme to which she may go in the future.

We'll be updating this post throughout the evening, bringing readers the latest in 2011 Grammy fashion. Click on each photo below to enlarge it:

Notice a similarity between Lady Gaga's new single "Born This Way" and Madonna's '80s classic "Express Yourself"? Well, the latter apparently has.

First, Madge's brother, Christopher Ciccone, went on record saying, "All I can say is 'What the f**k!' when asked to comment on Lady Gaga's new song.

"It sounds just like 'Express Yourself' ... I can't believe it to tell you the truth."

Madonna herself hasn't commented, but her YouTube page was updated today with, wouldn't you know it, a live performance of "Express Yourself."

The pop stars have never feuded. Contrarily, in fact. Gaga has called Madonna a huge influence and the two even did an SNL sketch together in 2009.

Listen to "Express Yourself" and see if you think "Born This Way" is a rip-off:

"Born This Way," Lady Gaga's new single by the forthcoming album of the same name, is finally here, and almost (almost) lives up to the incredible hype.

Working in shout-outs to every ethnic background and minority group under the sun, the lyrics sound like they were written in 10 minutes, as she claims.

But the hook - “don’t be a drag, just be a queen” - may well go down as the latest mantra for Gaga followers, the millions of Little Monsters everywhere.

The track is fun, it's catchy and fosters her message of all-embracing equality. In short, vintage Lady Gaga. Take a listen here and tell us if you agree:

"I am quite down-to-earth for such an eccentric person." - Lady Gaga

With the release of "Born This Way" less than 24 hours away, Vogue officially released its March cover featuring the fabulous Lady Gaga this morning.

Despite her theatrical shows, outrageous getups, wild antics, obsession with blood and semen and so on, she says she's a family-oriented good girl.

The Italian-American New York native says she prefers to be called by her real name, Stefani, in the bedroom for example. She also cares deeply for her parents.

“I obsess about his health,” she said about her father. “I’m very Italian. I call him every day. I ask my mother if he’s been smoking. They are in their 50s now."

"They still live in the same apartment on the Upper West Side," Gaga tells Vogue. "Nothing has changed at all since I have become a star. I am a real family girl."

"When it comes to love and loyalty, I am very old-fashioned."

Just one of many reasons why we love her ... opulent robes, pink wigs and all. Click to enlarge Vogue's Lady Gaga pictures below and tell us what you think:

Lady Gaga will release her new single "Born This Way," from the upcoming album of the same name, on Friday, two days ahead of when she originally planned.

"Can't wait any longer, single coming Friday," the pop star Tweeted.

Gaga is clearly anxious for the world to experience her latest work, which she is hyping beyond belief (although if any artist might live up to it, it's the Lady).

A Show For the Monsters

BORN THIS WAY: The album is coming May 23. The song this Friday!

Having already released the lyrics, she said the song was recorded "around the world" and it "sounds like it reads, but not like you think until you hear it."

If "Born This Way" is indeed released Friday, it will come out on the same day that another, Justin Bieber, enjoys a big premiere - his Never Say Never film.

Regardless, Lady Gaga is set to perform the single at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. So in short, get ready to go absolutely Gaga this weekend.

If there's one celebrity who could pose nude, wearing giant heels and skateboarding, and not shock us in the least by doing so, it would be Lady Gaga.

Said pictures, taken for Purple magazine by famed photographer Terry Richardson, should get people talking, though they're pretty standard for Gaga.

We can only imagine the deluge of naked/revealing Lady Gaga pictures to come with Born This Way due out soon. Nude skateboard shot after the jump:

Lady Gaga fans follow her unique style almost as much as her chart-topping music. It's only fitting that she'd debut a new, remixed track at a fashion show.

The house of Mugler, which retained the boundary-pushing star as musical director for its Paris menswear presentation Wednesday, has released a short film.

That film combines footage from the runway with a remixed version of a new track, reportedly called "Scheiße," from Gaga’s forthcoming album, Born This Way.

Here's the remixed version of the song ...

How did the rumored hermaphrodite get hooked up with Mugler?

The brand’s creative director, Nicolas Formichetti, is her stylist: “I love him, my friend the genius, my collaborator, more than any piece of clothing or closet I possess,” Gaga said. “But don’t tell him I said that. He picked them all out!”

What do you think of this Lady Gaga remix?
