It's sort of official: there's serious bad blood brewing between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

It all started when Swift told Rolling Stone that she penned a song on hew new album about an enemy in the world of music, someone who did “something so horrible” when she tried to “sabotage an entire arena tour."

Then, not long after these comments went public, Perry Tweeted a reference to Mean Girls and a "Regina George in sheep's clothing," who we're rather positive is Taylor Swift.

So the claws are pretty much out between two of the top-selling artists in pop music history.

Will things get uglier from here? Who will fire the next shot? And where does this feud rank among recent famous rivalries, which include Drake Bell HATING on Justin Bieber and Jimmy Kimmel trading barbs with Kanye West?

Flip around and decide now:

Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift wrote a song titled "Bad Blood" about an enemy in the music business. We're pretty sure the subject was Katy Perry.

Lady Gaga is no stranger to controversy, but she may have taken on more than she can handle when she inadvertently waded into the murky waters of international politics today.

Gaga recorded a simple, ten-second video to promote her upcoming concert in Tel Aviv, Israel. The clip was uploaded to YouTube yesterday and has since ignited an astonishingly violent, hateful comment board debate.

Naturally, most of the comments aren't suitable to be shared here, but needless to say, things got very ugly, very quickly, as Israel detractors accused Gaga of a pro-Zionist agenda, while fans of the Mother Monster rushed to her defense.

Gaga is accustomed to controversy involving her weight and feuds with the likes of Perez Hilton, but this is uncharted territory for the beloved singer. Hopefully she'll tread lightly, should she decide to respond to the controversy at all.

Odd behavior is sort of a hallmark of being famous. We've come to expect some celebrities to pull ridiculous stunts in the name of art or self-promotion.

When Shia LaBeouf wears a paper bag on his head, we tip our heads to the side and tap our chins and go "hmmm..." and wait for answers.

When James Franco hits on an 18 year old on Instagram, we accuse him of being a dirty old man and then realize that's exactly what happens in his newest flick, label it a publicity stunt, and move on to the next scandal.

But then there are our pop stars and the Twitter users who love and loathe them who ask questions that really make us think ..

Why Does Lady Gaga Look Like a Hash Brown?
Good question, @luisspears. Very good question indeed.

Too bad the only answers we can really come up with for these 23 questions for pop stars which cannot actually be answered are "because" and "drugs, of course."

But there's really no way to explain Miley Cyrus' right knee.

In the past, Lady Gaga has acknowledged that she owes a significant debt of gratitude to Madonna, and with good reason.

The 56-year-old Instagram exhibitionist was doing the whole blonde shock-pop thing before the Mother Monster was even born.

But apparently, Gaga hasn't spent enough time bowing before Her Madgesty's throne recently, because Madonna's latest desperate bid for relevance involves trying to rope the younger songstress into an inter-generational war of blonde hatred.

  • Madonna in a Suit
  • Lady Gaga with Green Hair

It all started back in 2012 when Madonna claimed Gaga's "Born This Way" was a rip-off of "Express Yourself." Gaga reveled in the beef at first and taunted Madonna about the songs' similarities.

But after that it all seemed to die down, and Gaga likely assumed there was no more bad blood between mentor and protege. Of course she failed to take into account just how much Madge loves undeserved attention:

An anti-smoking PSA, created by The Legacy Foundation’s Truth initiative, aired last night during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Depicting numerous A-Listers lighting up, the spot says these stars are giving “big tobacco tons of free marketing” and goes on to label such celebrities as Rihanna, Robert Pattinson and Lady Gaga as “unpaid tobacco” spokespeople.

"They’re the new face of big tobacco, and they don’t even know it,” reads the video.

Is this a fair label? Because young fans are clearly influenced by the actions of actors, actresses and singers?

Or is it foul for the PSA to call out stars who are typically only seen smoking because the paparazzi stalk their every move?

The PSA also does leave out the most famous smoker of all: President Barack Obama.

Remember when MTV (music television) actually used to play music videos on TV? Yeah, we do too. Pour one out for the good ol' days...

After three years of airing 'round-the-clock music, MTV unleashed a phenomenon known as Video Music Awards upon the world in 1984.

The idea? To celebrate the artists that brought our favorite tunes to life on the small screen and intersperse said awards with live performances from those very artists.

That was probably where MTV went wrong. Or very, very right.

What happened after that first very crazy VMA show in 1984 when Madonna's "Like a Virgin" took on new life was that the ante was summarily upped.

Every musical act to come would need to bring their A-Game if they'd make headlines the next morning. Plenty of them, from Madge to Miley, managed to do just fine.

In honor of the 30th MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, let's take a walk down memory lane to relive the 17 craziest moments in VMA history ...

Like a Virgin
Madonna didn't intend to writhe around on the stage during her 1984 performance of "Like a Virgin." She lost one of her shoes and the rest became history.

The countdown until the Magic Mike 2 premiere is on, as legions of fans of the original smash hit movie keep Channing all over their Tatums in anticipation.

Most Magic Mike fans know this was the semi-autobiographical story of Channing Tatum's days as a stripper. Well, he was far alone in that line of work:

Channing Tatum
"Magic Mike" wasn't the loosely autobiographical story of Channing Tatum for nothing! He got his start as a stripper.

No, Tatum's pole-dancing past isn't unique. Stripping is one way many of today's famous faces got their start, paying their bills prior to achieving fame.

Some of them went on to become Hollywood A-listers, and some of them went on to be, well, sort of crazy people who are famous for no discernible reason.

Check out 21 stars who used to be strippers above and see who falls into which category. Some of these former dancers may really surprise you, too.

And then there are stars who took it to another level. Yes, the celebrities who used to be porn stars ... those are surprising for even more obvious reasons:

Lady Gaga is known for her chameleon style. So many times, in fact, that you're hard-pressed to see a Lady Gaga photo that truly stands out these days.

Whether she's channeling Amy Winehouse for a selfie, wearing no makeup or industrial quanities of makeup, no dress or a meat dress, it's just Gaga.

Here's one you've never seen and that's pretty unique, though:

Lady Gaga in Sin City 2

Hey, as random cameos go, you could do a lot worse than this.

Lots more iconic, weird, hot and "WTF?!" Gaga pics below:

Lady Gaga had Little Monsters on Facebook doing a double take this weekend with a sexy bedtime selfie that could have passed for the late Amy Winehouse.

Lady Gaga as Amy Winehouse

Gaga fans immediately noticed the resemblance, which was not mentioned by Gaga, pointing out the comparison in the comments time and again.

"Off to Australia. Will be dreaming of my Aussie Monsters," wrote Gaga, with black hair and wing-tipped eyeliner nearly identical to Winehouse's signature look.

The Lady is currently in the middle of her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball tour, and is next scheduled to make six stops in Australia starting August 20.

At 28, she has already lived a woman she once called her inspiration.

Amy Winehouse died at age 27 in July of 2011 due to extreme alcohol intoxication after years of drug and alcohol abuse and ending a promising career.
