Kristin Cavallari was safe from elimination on last night's Dancing With the Stars results show. She can credit her partner Mark Ballas, her own hard work in practice, and maybe, possibly, just a little bit, her ex-fiance Jay Cutler.

Yesterday, the Bears QB Tweeted: “Good luck babe “@KristinCav: Don’t forget to vote tonight!! 18008683403 or abc.com Vote for KC on DWTS tonight.”

Despite Jay breaking off their engagement, Cavallari was very touched.

“That was very sweet,” the reality star said of his get-out-the-vote bid.

What, if anything, that Tweet could mean for a possible reconciliation is anyone's guess, and she wasn't about to go there. Kristin did, however, praise Mark.

“He’s great. He’s very patient, we haven’t gotten in a fight, he hasn’t yelled at me,” she said after Tuesday's show, which saw Metta World Peace sent packing.

The Chicago Bears QB reunited with ex-fiancee (and rumored Dancing With the Stars contestant Kristin Cavallari) in Chicago, and he wants her back, reports say. Really. Nameless sources say “He’s been trying to get her back."

But is that true? And will he succeed if so?

"All of the rumors were that Jay dumped her but that was totally false and she knew something wasn’t right,” an insider says. “He totally has a rep for being blah and a douche. But I haven’t heard about him going out at all lately.”

Jay and Kristin were spotted out together in Chicago over the weekend, “walking in the West Loop, where he lives,” the tabloid insider adds.

“Maybe he really did change and realized what he lost?” a pal of the former couple asks. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they give it another go.”

Kristin and Jay abruptly called off their engagement last month, amid reports that the football star was the one who called things off.

After the 24-year-old did a photo shoot in her wedding dress, no less. If they do get back together, that will be a tough turn of events to forget.

Jay Cutler does a mediocre job calling the shots on the football field. Off the gridiron, however, he was incredibly good at controlling Kristin Cavallari.

The Bears quarterback smothering the former Hills star was one of the things that caused their relationship to unravel, according to a new report.

A friend of Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler, who knew the couple and spent time with them socially, says he made things difficult for his fiancee.

The two called off their engagement this weekend.

Says the source of the now-former couple:

"Jay Cutler was beyond controlling and didn't really like Kristin to go out," the friend says. "When she did go out, he would call all the time, demanding to know exactly where she was going and who she was with."

"He always made her choose between being with him and being friends with a lot of her girlfriends. I'm not surprised it didn't last."

Cavallari and Cutler, 24 and 28 respectively, were first linked last summer. They had been planning a wedding for next spring, and Kristin is said to be "absolutely devastated" after the football star broke up with her.

After just 10 months together, the Chicago Bears quarterback and Kristin Cavallari have called off their engagement, a source confirms today.

As for who facilitated the split? "She got dumped," says another source. "Kristin is absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."

The couple, who were planning a spring wedding, became engaged in April, when Cutler popped the question while on vacation in Mexico.

They had been spending much of their time recently in Chicago, and Cavallari had planned to move there during the upcoming NFL season.

"She was planning her dream wedding, the date, the location – everything was set," the source says. "She's in shock that it ended this way."

Jay Cutler recently walked to the line, looked around and made the most important play call of his life: he asked Kristin Cavallari to marry him.

According to a friend of the couple's, the former Laguna Beach star was shocked by the proposal, but accepted during a vacation this weekend in Mexico.

"He surprised her with a quick trip to Cabo to ask her to marry him," an insider tells People, confirming future nuptials for the pair that started dating in the fall of 2010.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler aren't just dating. She's head over heels for him.

"I'm in love," she told People Saturday night at Las Vegas' The Bank Nightclub while celebrating her 24th birthday. Jay Cutler? Not present that night.

That's because he was suiting up to lead the Chicago Bears to a 35-24 victory over Seattle Sunday. They're now one win from the Super Bowl somehow.

"I want to be there," she said. "I'm bummed that I'm not there and he's not here."

Cutler was there in spirit. Dude sent a large bouquet of pink flowers to her table.

"Things are really good," she continued. "I'm just enjoying my personal life and taking a little time away from the public eye, which is why Chicago is great for me. My mom and that whole side of the family is there. And Jay is there."
