Kristin Cavallari Weddings

Looks like Jay Cutler came through in the clutch this time.

After calling off their wedding earlier this year, Kristin Cavallari and the Chicago Bears quarterback have reconciled and are now engaged a second time.

The former star of Laguna Beach and The Hills confirmed the news with this simple Twitter post: "This time its official... Jay and I are engaged again :)"'

Jay Cutler has recovered his worst fumble ... so to speak.

Cavallari and Cutler, 24 and 28 respectively, were first linked in the summer of 2010. They got engaged early this year, then suddenly split for unknown reasons.

While the pair broke up this summer, they were already back together as a couple by fall, with Jay cheering Kristin on during her stint on Dancing With the Stars.

Kristin went out briefly with another guy this month - Lance Cpl. Jonathan Burkett - but even then it was clear she and Jay were on the verge of re-engagement.

"[Kristin] was awesome for sure. She looked very beautiful. Jay Cutler is a lucky guy," said Burkett after she accepted his Twitter invite to the Marine Corps Ball.

That he is. Congratulations to the happy couple again - and hopefully for good!

Kristin Cavallari participated in a gorgeous photo shoot in her wedding dress just last Thursday, a mere 2-3 days before she got dumped by Jay Cutler.

Reports have suggested that the former Laguna Beach and Hills star was not only the one who got dumped, but was blindsided when it happened.

This would certainly bolster that theory.

If she was even contemplating ending the engagement with the NFL star, why would Kristin Cavallari go through with a photo shoot like this?

Kristin Cavallari will make a beautiful bride ... someday.

For his part, why would Jay Cutler let her go forward with a photo shoot in her wedding dress if he was just going to break it off over the weekend?

Eh, that guy quit on an entire NFL team. Guess it's not a shock he'd hang Kristin out to dry. We've heard he was smothering her pretty bad too.

Jay Cutler recently walked to the line, looked around and made the most important play call of his life: he asked Kristin Cavallari to marry him.

According to a friend of the couple's, the former Laguna Beach star was shocked by the proposal, but accepted during a vacation this weekend in Mexico.

"He surprised her with a quick trip to Cabo to ask her to marry him," an insider tells People, confirming future nuptials for the pair that started dating in the fall of 2010.

Jay Cutler has found his tight end for life.
