Twilight star Kristen Stewart may or may not be dating Robert Pattinson.

That is up in the air. As is what the actress is trying to do with her look these days. Last week, she debuted a new hairstyle, chopping off half of her signature black locks in preparation for her role as rock star Joan Jett in The Runaways.

Now, she's going '90s grunge style on us.

When it comes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart romance rumors, this one is a stretch. We admit it.

But curious fans that read between the lines might be anxious to see what Ashley Greene said about her gorgeous co-stars. When asked by E! News if Pattinson and Stewart make a great couple, she didn't take the bait.

"Sure! I mean they make a great couple onscreen," she said.

Pressed for more, Greene had the following to say about her friends:

"They're great. They're both really chill."

Hmmm, given the opportunity to set the dating record straight and shoot down all talk about Pattinson and Stewart as a couple, Greene did not do so. Read whatever you'd like into that.

Ashley Greene is less shy about her breasts than she is about dating rumors surrounding her co-stars.

As she reportedly considers a choice between Robert Pattinson and Michael Angarano, Kristen Stewart stopped at a salon.

The Twilight star chopped off half her black locks in preparation for her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways.

Another week, another tabloid report about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart...

According to the latest issue of OK!, the delicious co-stars bunked together at The Charlie, a West Hollywood hotel, the day after the Near Kiss Shrieked at Around the World at the MTV Movie Awards.

An insider at the hotel described the rumored couple as "sweet and lovely."

But sources tell the magazine that there's tension in the relationship, all based around Stewart's ongoing dealings with Michael Angarano. Pattinson wants his occasional gal pal to drive a stake through her relationship with the lesser-known, uglier actor... or it's all over!

"Robert is completely frustrated. If Kristen isn't interested in a serious relationship, she needs to tell him so he can move on," a source said, adding that Robert wants a resolution to this love triangle by the time he and Kristen reunite in Vancouver this fall to film Eclipse.

The anonymous insider says Pattinson has "asked her to choose between him and Michael this summer. Robert's not willing to be strung along."

Numerous celebrity gossip tabloids have hinted at it, but no magazine has offered any proof yet of a relationship between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

That hasn't changed, but a reliable source has made it clear that these co-stars are far more than work pals. 

At this weekend's Young Hollywood Awards, E! News asked Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke about the rumors. She delivered the most exciting vague response of the year!

"People love to talk, so let them have fun talking," Hardwicke said. "I think they have an interesting, wonderful connection, so you know... What does dating mean? I don't know. I couldn't say."

Is the director implying that Stewart and Pattinson are, at least, bumping uglies? Or, in their case, hotties? It certainly seems that way, doesn't it?

From trailers to photos to secrets about its stars, New Moon is receiving as much hype as any movie in recent memory. And it doesn't even come out until November!

The latest report is courtesy of Life & Style, a tabloid that, unsurprisingly, is focusing most of its coverage on Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

According to the magazine, the stars perfected their spit swapping technique on May 27 in Montepulciano, Italy, as a 10-hour shoot focused on the key reunion scene between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

"They were happy and laughing throughout filming," said an extra. "It was like they were the only two actors on set."

Despite Stewart's supposed relationship with Michael Angarano, witnesses say her and Pattinson were able to spend a lot of alone time in Italy.

"I saw them surfing the Internet together," a bartender at the Grand Hotel Admiral Palace said. "They were looking and laughing at something."

Meanwhile, Ashley Greene described how the beauty of the Italian countryside contrasted with the tone of the scenes being filmed there.

"These are the most frightening and nerve-racking scenes," she said. "It's when [the powerful Volturi vampires] are debating whether to kill Edward and Bella."

Another day, another tabloid reporting on a possible relationship between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. (You might wanna turn away right about now, Michael Angarano.)

Following the near-kiss heard around the world at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, OK! spoke to a friend of Stewart. This anonymous source confirmed that the aforementioned co-stars have always gotten along well.

“Robert and Kristen spent a lot of time alone together when they filmed the first Twilight movie - they’d stay up most of the night talking, laughing, playing music. Although [Robert] knew Kristen had a boyfriend, he made no secret of the fact that he was crazy about her.”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in love? Kate Gosselin in a bikini? Susan Boyle in the hospital? It's been quite a week for celebrity gossip!

What about Angarano, the little-known actor Stewart has been linked to for months?

“Kristen and Robert hit it off the minute they were introduced,” the friend says. “When they auditioned together for the first time [in 2007], sparks flew. The  problem is, she’s torn between her onscreen and off-screen loves.”

Of course, anyone that has seen a photo of Robert Pattinson likely can't understand what there is to be torn over. Has Kristen seen his face?!?

Yes, Sacha Baron Cohen forced Eminem into the 69 position at last night's MTV Movie Awards.

But while the Web is buzzing over that bare-assed, ballsy maneuver, the evening still belonged to the cast of Twilight/New Moon.

First, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart came thisclose to making out on stage, as the screams of countless teenagers could be heard around the world during the seconds this twosome teased viewers on stage with a near lip lock.

"[The acceptance] was Kristen's idea. My ideas were so terrible they were rejected," Pattinson admitted to Entertainment Tonight after the show. "So I'm happy she helped me two minutes before it happened."

As for the evening's other major development - the debut of the official New Moon trailer - star Taylor Lautner was pleased with what he saw.

"It's really cool! We had a blast making the film and we just wrapped. So now that the trailer is already coming out, it's really cool to be able to see it for the first time," he said.

Lautner added that no one in the cast expected Twilight to grow into a worldwide sensation.

"We were just making this book series and we hoped some fans would enjoy it and they did. Then, it kind of exploded from there and here we are!"

Unlike other networks, MTV knows how to host a movie awards show.

At last night's annual event, celebrities from all industries walked the red carpet, the New Moon trailer premiered and Kiefer Sutherland cried hysterically into the arms of Ben Stiller.

But two events stand out the most from the evening:

1. A half-naked Sacha Baron Cohen (in his character of Bruno) fell into Eminem's lap. At the sight, and touch, of Bruno's bare buttocks, Eminem fumed: "Are you serious? Get the **** off me!," before storming out of his seat.
2. After their win for best kiss, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart stood at the podium and came... so... close... to... kissing.
