We mean this with all due respect, but perhaps Kristen Stewart should quit acting. She really doesn't seem to enjoy the spotlight, does she?

Aside from making inappropriate comments (such as comparing the paparazzi to rapists, which she quickly apologized for), the actress comes across as painfully awkward in interviews. It's refreshing, but it's also just strange.

Now, in an interview with British magazine Hello!, Stewart admits that she has serious fear of fame. Especially fame at the level she's achieved.

"I don't feel very comfortable on the red carpet," she said. "I look out there at a thousand people and I realize they could rush me and assassinate me. No security could protect me. Ostensibly they're fans, but I think about them turning on me."

Very Shy Stewart

Kristen says she "struggles to keep myself from crying" during public appearances and shows many signs of social anxiety disorder, a legitimate phobia that is triggered by perceived scrutiny from those around you.

There is good news for Stewart: at least she can go home and have Robert Pattinson hold her tightly every evening.

They are two of the most beloved, gifted young stars alive - and they might get along very well in real life.

But this is the virtual world, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Swift, and there are no friends in the world of fashion face-offs!

The actress and the singer each wore the same J. Mendel dress out to public events over the last few months, although Stewart chose the strapless ivory version, while Taylor rocked it in lavender.

This photo of Kristen is also outdated because she's cut and dyed her hair since she walked the red carpet for the premiere of New Moon, but that doesn't mean she can't still take on Swift below. Compare, contrast and vote...

Kristen vs. Taylor

Who wears this dress best?

Prior to her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, Kristen Stewart showed off a shorter, dyed hairstyle. Sound off with your thoughts on it NOW.

From there, the Eclipse star proceeded to sit alongside the talk show host... and make things incredibly awkward for all that watched.

We adore Kristen, don't get us wrong. But at some point her shyness stops being endearing and starts just being strange.

This is an actress that's been on the global stage for years now, not some scientist locked in her lab 24/7, yet her stories still trail off and she can't seem to banter at all with the person interviewing her.

Late Show Interview

Near the end of the following four minutes of interviewing Hell, Letterman even has to comfort Stewart, assuring her "you're fine, it's fine."

In her defense, however, the audience didn't offer much help. Those in attendance snickered at any reference Kristen made to Taylor Lautner, taking her quote about her co-star being "active" to mean... who the heck even knows? But something "ooohh" and "ahhh" worthy apparently.

See what we mean below and sound off: Is Kristen cute in these exchanges, or just painfully awkward?

Twilight Saga fans may have June 30 circled as the premiere date for Eclipse, but Kristen Stewart offered her own exciting debut earlier today.

Prior to an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the beloved actress showed off a new hairstyle meant for her upcoming role as MaryLou in the movie adaption of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road.

It's short, it's dyed, it's elegant and it marks a departure from Kristen's typically grungy look. We think it's beautiful! Do you agree?

This week's red carpet premiere may have been in honor of Eclipse, but screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg took the opportunity to give fans a major tease about Breaking Dawn.

A HOT, SEXY major tease, we should say!

Speaking to Hollywood Life, Rosenberg opened up about Bella and Edward's relationship in the fourth movie. She said:

“I can tell you the sex scenes are going to be sensual and they’re going to be delicious.

They’re going to be everything I would want them to be. They may not be as graphic as some people may want them, but I honestly don’t think graphic translates into hot. I don’t care if it’s PG-13 or R. I just want the hottest sex scene there is and I don’t necessarily think ‘graphic’ is the best way.”

In a word: Gulp!

In nine words: Can Breaking Dawn hurry up and come out already?!?

In almost all of her public appearances, Kristen Stewart comes across as shy and reserved.

But there's one way in which this actress isn't afraid to express herself: via red carpet fashion.

Stewart is rarely seen in a typical, conversative dress. Just look at examples from a Metropolitan Museum of Art event in May and from a promotional stop in Rome last week.

The actress mixed it up against last night at the world premiere of Eclipse in Hollywood. If you can stop ogling pics of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner at the event for just a moment, check out Kristen's unusual outfit below and sound off on it:

What do you think of Kristen Stewart's selection?

It's the most famous scene in Eclipse, perhaps even in the entire Twilight Saga: Bella, Edward and Jacob all end up in a single tent, as the former snuggles up to the latter and...

... we don't wanna ruin it for anyone that hasn't read the book.

But Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart sat down with the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly and discussed putting these words on screen.

Shooting the scene took two days, Lautner said, referring to it as "my favorite, because it’s the first time Edward and Jacob are actually able to connect and understand each other."

Double Hotness

Pattinson describes the final outcome as "erotic," with Stewart explaining why:

"In the book there’s a serious sexual tension. As I’m sleeping, Jacob is staring over my vulnerable body, and he’s naked in this f- - -ing sleeping bag because you heat up faster that way, and Jacob and Edward are leveling with each other.

From there, the pair exhibited the kind of chemistry that has helped make the Twilight Saga so huge - and, let's face it, has made Rob and Kristen a couple, even if they won't admit it.

This is the exchange that concluded this excerpt from the interview:

Pattinson: I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart.
Stewart: The word thought does not sound like fart.
Pattinson: It does.
Stewart: Maybe because you are an English person.
Pattinson: The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that.

Sigh. We just love this pair, don't you?

Jimmy Kimmel hosted an ABC special titled "Total Eclipse of the Heart" last night.

The program featured all members of the Twilight Saga cast, as Robert Pattinson took a break from filming Water for Elephants and reunited with Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and other co-stars who have been circling the globe promoting the film.

Among the topics touched on during the one-hour special:

  • Pattinson teasing Lautner over the lack of werewolf penises, saying: "If you look carefully, it's a little easter egg in the film, the censors wouldn't let the wolves have genitalia."
  • Xavier Samuel telling a story about how a raccoon bit him during shooting in Vancouver.
  • Kimmel refusing to take sides, joking: "My heart says Team Edward, but my head says Team Jacob - and then my stomach says Hot Pocket."
  • Lautner admitting that a Great White Shark would kill a werewolf in battle.
  • Lautner and Stewart talking about swimming with sharks and doing karaoke with Miley Cyrus while on their international press tour.

Ouch, Robert Pattinson. Ouch.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly for its upcoming Eclipse cover story, the gorgeous actor was asked about Kristen Stewart's comments last month, where she compared the paparazzi to rapists.

While Kristen herself saw the error in her word choice and maturely apologized for it, Rob stood up for his rumored girlfriend and pointed the finger at, well... us.

"That whole system of Internet journalists, where no one is called to account, is almost entirely about hate," he said "All these people get away with doing it because they have no responsibility to anyone... there are so many little nerds behind their computers, on their little blogs."

Don't worry, Kristen. Rob has your back.

Pattinson may have a decent point overall, but this wasn't the ideal topic to express it over.

Stewart clearly over-stepped with her reference to "rape" and can often come across as ungrateful for her lot in life. But she dealt with that issue herself in the aforementioned apology and this doesn't seem to be a battle she needed her man to fight on her behalf.

The pair were seated next to one another during this interview, though, and it did lead to one of Stewart's funniest points to date. After Rob finished his rants, she said:

"See, if I said that? Crucifixion. You can say so much more than me. It's insane...you could say, 'I just took a s***on the Queen's face,' and people would be like, 'Oh, I love him! I love him!'"

Ha! She's totally right.

P.S. Rob, we prefer to be labeled as "geeks," thank you very much!

Over the last few weeks, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been traveling the globe and promoting Eclipse. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson has been filming Water for Elephants.

But all three stars will converage on Los Angeles tomorrow night for the world premiere of the third Twilight Saga film. They also sat down with Entertainment Weekly recently and talked about the franchise in general. Excerpts from the interview are below:

Stewart, on Bella in Breaking Dawn: One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she’s mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. I’m really excited about playing that.

Pattinson, on talk that Breaking Dawn is Mormon-themed:  I think people make up all these Mormon references just so they can publish Twilight articles in respectable publications like the New York Times. Even Stephenie [Meyer, author of the Twilight novels] said it doesn’t mean any of that. It is based on a dream.

Lautner, on the conclusion of the series: It will be so weird, the last day of filming that last movie.

Pick up the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly for more from this trio of stars.
