Last night, Kristen Stewart chose a very good time to make her first public appearance since photos surfaced of the actress getting to first base with Rupert Sanders.

While most of the entertainment world was watching the MTV Video Music Awards - which included an appearance by Robert Pattinson and other Twilight Saga castmates, who introduced a new Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer - Stewart walked the red carpet of the Toronto Film Festival.

Along with costars Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund, she was on hand to promote On the Road and she wore a Zuhair Murad dress for the occasion.

Stewart doesn't exactly look thrilled to be at the premiere. But does she ever? You're more likely to see Kristen wear a "Take Me Back, Rob!" t-shirt on the red carpet than you are to see here don a smile...

As originally scheduled, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will both make public appearances tonight. But they won't be doing so together.

Pattinson will be joined by other costars at the MTV Video Music Awards, taking the stage to present new footage of Breaking Dawn Part 2; Stewart, who was initially booked to join her ex-boyfriend and fellow castmates, will be north of the border.

She has hopped a plane and will walk the red carpet of the Toronto Film Festival for the On the Road premiere.

Fans are now left to wonder when, if ever, Rob and Kristen will appear at the same event.

Sources say Ashley Greene may replace Stewart at various stops on the upcoming Breaking Dawn press tour, although Pattinson has supposedly volunteered to walk with Kristen down its red carpet.

The only thing we know for sure: THG will be covering this estranged couple's every last move, every step of the way.

Forget her personal life for one tiny second: Kristen Stewart has a movie to promote, as On the Road hits theaters on December 21.

In anticipation, the actress will likely be featured in a number of upcoming magazines, giving interviews she actually sat down for awhile ago, hence the lack of a Robert Pattinson mention in October's issue of British Vogue.

Still, it's helpful to read through the following excerpts in order to get a grasp on Kristen, who does go in to detail about her public persona, one that has clearly taken a hit in recent weeks.

On life in the spotlight: "People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I’m not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, ‘OK, I’m really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?’ I wouldn’t know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can’t.”

On dyeing her hair blonde for On the Road: "I feel like my whole body rejects it, but it was really important for the character. It was like learning an accent!"

On the Beat generation, on whom the movie focuses: "That world back then, it just seems freer to me than anything I could ever touch and I’m fully nostalgic for it, even though I wasn’t even alive then. It’s the loyalty aspect of it all. I love being on the periphery with a group of people who have the same values that I do. People who don’t get off on fame, who just like the process of making movies and thrive."

With over 22,000 votes cast so far, 70% of THG readers believe Robert Pattinson should NOT forgive Kristen Stewart and take her back.

Count the actor's sisters among this large majority.

Sources tell Radar Online that Lizzy and Victoria Pattinson have made their feelings very well known to their famous brother. Simply put, according to the insider:

“They will kill him if he gets back with Kristen."

Lizzy and Victoria feel awful for their sibling, and they want to see Rob happy, but they are "pretty unforgiving over Kristen’s actions," this source says, adding:

“They believe Robert should embrace singledom, throw himself into work and not consider settling down with anyone until he’s ready."

Sounds like a logical plan to us, and it's one Pattinson appears prepared to follow. He is reportedly selling the house he shared with Stewart and may even move to London.

While we'd all miss him in the States, we can all agree that a clean, fresh, happy start for Robert is far more important than having him close by, right?

On the Road is more than just a Kristen Stewart vehicle.

The film, adapted from the classic novel by Jack Kerouac, features a powerhouse cast that includes Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Viggo Mortensen, Elisabeth Moss, Terrence Howard, Steve Buscemi, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund.

Stewart is sure to dominate press coverage of the movie, however, due to her recent fling with Rupert Sanders and subsequent public apology/admission of love for heartbroken boyfriend Robert Pattinson amid the media firestorm.

She certainly makes her presence felt in the trailer below. Take a look:

The new On the Road trailer certainly captures the unhinged, liberated vibe of the novel, showing Stewart in bed with guys, driving naked down the road with guys, and basically shedding her Bella Swan alter ego for good.

When it rains, it pours for Kristen Stewart.

The Breaking Dawn star's parents, Jules and John Stewart, are calling it quits. The former filed for divorce on August 17, ending their 27-year marriage.

Jules cited irreconcilable differences for the split. As for the date of separation, she says they have been estranged since back in June of 2010.

They have two sons, Taylor and Cameron, in addition to Kristen.

K-Stew's parents both work in film production Jules as a writer/director and John as a producer and stage manager. She has not commented on the split.

The news comes just weeks after an affair between married director Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart rocked the celebrity gossip world.

Kristen's straying likely marked the end of a storybook romance with Robert Pattinson, though both have been tight-lipped since her public mea culpa.

Full speed... behind?

Following a statement from Summit Entertainment in which the studio said it was moving "full speed ahead" with its original outline for the upcoming Breaking Dawn press tour - despite a certain publicized breakup - plans appear to have changed.

Ashley Greene may be stepping in for Kristen Stewart.

"The studio's holding out to see if [Robert Pattinson and Stewart] get back together," an insider tells The New York Post. "But I don't think anyone is banking on that happening... At this point, the press strategy would have been mapped out. It's usually very organized, but at this time it's undecided."

With various premieres set to take place around the country and the world, executives could simply split Stewart and Pattinson up. Greene would then appear alongside the actor for interviews and junkets.

She couldn't be a bigger fan of Rob, telling The Daily Mail a couple years ago that the star "has been one of my biggest inspirations. As a person, he's not like anyone I've ever met in Hollywood, and as an actor he's a complete natural. He has no ego."

Sorry, Kristen, but that really does appear to be true. You've lost one of the very good eggs here.

Robert Pattinson just can't bear it any longer. The kitchen where they cooked, the pool where they swam, the bedroom where they... you know.

There are simply "too many memories" inside the Los Angeles home the actor shared with Kristen Stewart, a source tells Us Weekly, and as a result he's putting it on the market.

The estranged couple moved in to the $6.3 million house (which was once owned by Noah Wyle) about a year ago. It sits on a half acre of land and could now make for the greatest keepsake of all-time for one very wealthy Twilight Saga fan.

As for the status or Rob and Kristen? This news doesn't bode well for their future as a couple.

Pattinson has refused to discuss the scandal in public, while Stewart continues to be the victim of public scorn and ridicule.

"Rob doesn't hate her and he's not mad," an insider tells the tabloid. "He just doesn't get why she did it. He loves her and thinks about her constantly."

There's been a lot of talk recently about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and their much-publicized breakup.

Seriously, A LOT of talk.

But on October 2, approximately six weeks before Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters, fans will have a chance to remember this pair as a loving couple: on that date, Entertainment Weekly releases "Twilight: The Complete Journey," a tell-all that goes behind the scenes of the entire Saga.

The book promises to reveal intimate details about what the official description summarizes as "five-year journey." It will include frank interviews set visit stories, trivia, book and movie guides and dozens of photographs.

Of course, for many, memories of the franchise may be tainted now that Pattinson and Stewart are no longer an item.

Might that change any time soon? Kristen sure hopes so. She is reportedly near a meltdown.
