Happy Thanksgiving to all from The Hollywood Gossip!

What would this holiday be without family, food, football and reflection upon the things we appreciate most ... in the case of THG, that means turkeys of a different sort.

On this 22nd of November, we're paying tribute to stars we had the honor and the burden of covering in 2012. We are talking fowl individuals here ... real bird brains.

Without further ado, THG's Top 10 Turkeys of 2012 ...

Spencer Pratt is a Turkey

Who will win the Sixth Annual Spencer Pratt Thanksgiving Turkey Award!?

10. Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden (tie). One's a relentless fame whore married to a man three times her age. The other cost himself a good shot at the presidency thanks to 47 percent-style gaffes and never deciding what kind of candidate he felt like being. Really, we just wanted to make web history with the first-ever use of Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden in the same sentence.

His personal life may be a ridiculous mess, but Kris Humphries just got his professional world in order:

ESPN reports that the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian has signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. The 27-year-old power forward averaged career-highs of 13.8 points and 11.0 rebounds per game with that club last season.

Kris Humphries on the Nets

Does the rich new deal mean Humphries will finally relent in his divorce proceedings, signing his name on the dotted line and legally ending his relationship with Kardashian?

It doesn't seem likely.

In the latest development surrounding that bizarre case, Myla Sinanaj has addressed Kim and told her to keep her out of the former couple's beef.

One thing is certain: Humphries will be crashing the boards in Brooklyn, and receiving many more boos on the road, throughout 2012-2013.

Kris Humphries heard it once again at Madison Square Garden last night: BOOOOO!

But this time the Nets power forward left The World's Most Famous Arena with a reason to smile, despite the reception he received by opposing fans, as New Jersey defeated New York 100-92. Humphries played a key role in the victory, too, with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

  • Red Karpet Kris
  • Jeremy Lin Pic

"I love the hostile environment," Humphries told ESPN after the game. "There's nothing better than sending 19,000 people home upset... We love that."

Kris is also the latest in a very long lien to give props to Jeremy Lin, the NBA's latest sensation, but not for anything the Harvard graduate did on the court last night. Instead, Lin apparently gave Kris a big assist in the tunnel leading to the locker rooms.

"He just said, 'Hey, I don't know why they boo you, but I think it's crap, and you're playing really well,'" Humphries said of Lin. "That was nice of him to say. He's a really nice guy... It's nice to see great things happen for nice people."

Lin also has great taste in women: he recently said Kim Kardashian was not his type.

America can be forgiving for many things, but Michael Vick still has a ways to go. He remains the most hated athlete in America, according to a Forbes poll.

Vick clocked in with an usually high awareness rate of 42 percent, meaning he’s well-known in America even among non-NFL fans ... but not in a good way.

“His awareness is up there with Peyton Manning, but a lot of it is people knowing him for the wrong reasons,” said Stephen Master, VP of Sports for Nielsen.

Top Dog!

Other notable names toward the top of the most-disliked list include Kris Humphries (Kim would totally be #1) Tiger Woods, Alex Rodriguez and Kurt Busch.

Mark McGwire, Randy Moss, Manny Ramirez and Ben Roethlisberger fell out of the dubious top 10, even if there was no major image rehab in any case.

One shocking 180 was that of the Detroit Lions’ Ndamukong Suh, who went from one of the NFL’s best-liked players to one of its worse in a matter of months.

Suh’s reputation took a beating after a highly public stomping of a Green Bay Packer on national TV on Thankgiving. It's no animal cruelty, but that'll do it.

Kris Humphries is getting really good at this break up thing.

The New Jersey Nets power forward/E! star has called it quits with Anderson Public Relations, TMZ confirms, following disagreements between the company and the Humphries over how to best promote the latter off the court.

The Hump

The PR team was especially upset with how Humphries handled an appearance on Good Morning America in December, where he brushed off questions about Kim Kardashian and looked confused about why they were even being asked. He instead talked about baking with his mom.

Kris' relationship with Anderson lasted 73 days, so, hey, that's an improvement of 24 hours for the guy!

Sources say he now wants to focus solely on basketball, which ought to be welcome news for the woeful Nets. Humphries scored 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in their 84-74 loss last night to the Thunder.

Here's some good news for Kris Humphries: the reality star/power forward won't be getting booed in Boston tomorrow night.

The bruising Nets starter sat out yesterday's game against the Nets due to a sore shoulder, and coach Avery Johnson says an MRI is scheduled for Kim Kardashian's ex, who won't even accompany the team to Beantown this week.

"Hopefully we'll get some good news," Johnson said. "It's not looking good right now because he barely can move his shoulder, so again we'll have to hope and pray it's nothing serious."

Following a season-opening victory, New Jersey has dropped five straight. Humphries is averaging 12.4 points an 10 rebounds per game in the early going, hearing boos everywhere he goes on the road.

Things aren't much better in Kris' personal life, as E! aired the Kourtney and Kim Take New York episode this week in which Humphries gets into trouble by questioning Jonathan Cheban's sexual orientation.

In case it wasn't clear just who came out on top in the Kris Humphries/Kim Kardashian divorce, consider:

The latter spent this weekend in Las Vegas, hosting a party at Tao in Las Vegas and making serious bank in the process. Humphries, meanwhile? He and the New Jersey Nets visited Cleveland and were blown out by the Cavs, 98-82, falling to 1-4 on the young season.

Kris was once again booed heartily by an opposing crowd, and he couldn't silence the jeers with his play. Following a performance last season where he set s Quicken Loans Arena record with 23 rebounds, Humphries only managed 11 points and five boards yesterday afternoon.

But he doesn't have time to dwell on those stats or on his team's poor play. He and the Nets play the Pacers this evening in Indiana.

Kris Humphries and the New Jersey Nets endured another blowout loss last night, falling by 16 points to the Magic in Orlando.

It was a relatively quiet night for the former Mr. Kim Kardashian, who only attempted five shots and finished with nine points and 10 rebounds. He also had an assist and a block in 35 minutes of action; or 37 fewer minutes of action than days his marriage to the reality star lasted.

Magic superstar Dwight Howard fell two boards shy of a career high, pulling down 24 rebounds, while Ryan Anderson scored 22 for Orlando.

The Nets will remain on the road for the next two games, playing at Atlanta and Cleveland tonight and Sunday night, respectively.

Kris Humphries and the New Jersey Nets made their home debut against the Atlanta Hawks last night, and Kim Kardashian's ex was greeted with loud applause from the sellout crowd.

But he and his teammates gave the crowd little to cheer about after the opening buzzer.

The Hawks blew the Nets off the floor, winning by a final of 106-70 - quite the contrast for New Jersey from the night before - and holding last year's fifth-leading NBA rebounder to just six boards. Granted, he sat out most of the second half.

Through two games, Humphries' stats look like this:

Fans booed Kris Humphries again last night, but this time the power forward rebounded... and rebounded... and rebounded.

In fact, the Nets star enjoyed arguably his best day as a pro, dropping 21 points and 16 boards on the Washington Wizards and helping his team overcome a 20-point second quarter deficit. As you can see in these highlights, Kris showed far more life on the court than on any episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians:

After the game, Humphries said he uses the crowd's negative reaction as "motivation," while Head Coach Avery Johnson told reporters:

"I'm trying to figure out, what did he do? I'm serious. Maybe because I don't follow reality TV, I don't know all the ins and outs of it, but it's pretty hilarious to me. I don't know if they even know why they're booing him."
