Bio

Knut is a captive-born polar bear who was born at the Zoologischer Garten Berlin on 5 December 2006. Rejected by his mother at birth, Knut was raised by zoo keepers. After becoming the first polar bear cub to survive past infancy at the Berlin Zoo in over 30 years, Knut became an international star, educating the masses about the perils of climate change and being really darn cute.

Aside from Amy Winehouse, Knut is believed to be the only endangered species to be given a star page and photo gallery on The Hollywood Gossip to date.
