It's hard to imagine Ke$ha and Pitbull's upbeat club banger "Timber" being released in the 1950s, but Postmodern Jukebox's version makes it seem almost possible!

The group that made Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" sound like it was at meant for a sock hop is back with a new doo-wop spin on popular music.

For their latest video, Pianist Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox teamed up with a capella group The Tee Tones, who provided back-up vocals, as well as saxophonist David Luther.

Listen to the amazing result below!

Ke$ha is in need of professional assistance.

The glittery singer checked into a rehab facility on January 3 and will remain there for 30 days. In a statement, she admitted to having an eating disorder.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," the singer tells Us Weekly "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

Ke$ha is reportedly a temporary resident of Timberline Knolls rehab center, the same facility in Illinois that Demi Lovato checked into back in 2010.

Ke$ha makes her directorial debut and stars as a writhing stripper who experiences a glorious champagne shower in her new music video for "Dirty Love."

All in a day's work for Ke$ha.

The video finds the singer in all her garter-belted, rainbow-colored glory, getting dirtier than ever ... literally and otherwise. This is some gnarly stuff:

It's no Miley Cyrus "Adore You" video, but it's semi-NSFW. In addition to gratuitous shots of Ke$ha's fine, shapely booty, we see her spitting at a camera.

The clip closes with sound bytes from a news cast about smut peddling, though it's unclear if this is meant to be ironic or some kind of social commentary.

In any case, death by glitter happens in the last segment of the music video. There is glitter on the floor, and it's hard core, we can promise you that.

Dirty, dirty love indeed.

A message was sent clearly and loudly to Ke$ha this weekend: the show must not go on.

The eccentric singer was forced to cancel a concert in Malaysia because authorities deemed her antics, songs and attire as too racy for that nation's conservative norms - and Ke$ha was far from happy about it.

"To be clear. I did NOT cancel," she Tweeted soon afterward. "I was not allowed to play. and then I was going to play anyways and was threatened with imprisonment."

It's unclear, however, why Ke$ha didn't send the ghosts from her vagina in as a threat to those in charge.

In the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday, radio stations have mostly pulled Ke$ha's latest hit off the air.

Titled "Die Young," the track had risen to number-three on nationwide playlists last week, according to Mediabase.

But it dropped from 167 million listeners around the country to 148 million two days after Adam Lanza killed 26 people inside an elementary school.

Ke$ha is known for many things: crazy eye-liner, unique outfits, decent dance moves.

But a smooth, catchy voice isn't exactly one of them, which is what makes the following cover so unexpected.

As part of a compilation CD in honor of Amnesty International's 50th anniversary - titled "Chimes of Freedom" - 76 artists have gathered to sing their own take on Bob Dylan classics. Among them are Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Adele, Maroon 5... and Ke$ha. Listen and react to her slowed-down version of "Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” now:

In a statement, the singer said:

"My heart is with Japan right now through this disaster and these hardships. I genuinely don't think right now would be appropriate timing for me to perform in Japan given the content and the spirit of my show, which is all about feeling exuberant, rowdy, and wild.

"I plan to bring my party there and to that part of the world when we are all ready to dance and Get $leazy together again. In the meantime I am going to do everything I can to help relief efforts and I encourage everyone in the world to do the same."

In related music news, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and others will soon release a joint album whose proceeds all benefit the Japanese Red Cross.
