Ke$ha is inspired by transvestites.

In a new interview with Paper Magazine, she says:

"Trannies make me want to be a better woman. I see these men who have way better bodies than I do, more beautiful faces, better complexions, beautiful makeup, and they're more fun than any person I've met in my life. They make me feel like I'm not a very good woman."

That's an unusual point of view from an unusual artist.

Let's take a look at what else Ke$ha had to say to that publication:

On trying country music: I love Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. I think at some point there might be some country collaborations or records in the future. But I'm also really digging being called, like half jokingly, a white girl rapper. I think it's really funny and I'm going to ride that train for a little bit.

On one of her favorite things: I wouldn't say I'm aggressive, but I'm a pervert. I have a gold Trans Am and my favorite thing to do in the world is to drive around blasting Zeppelin or Sabbath, cat calling dudes. It doesn't work, but it's fun.

On her favorite drinks: I like whiskey and I like red wine -  those are my two favorites. I love to lie around my house listening to vinyl records and drinking red wine. It's amazing.

Like Adam Lambert, Ke$ha may not be loved by everyone out there, but even her harshest critics must admit:

This singer aims to entertain.

She also brings her own style to every music video, including the latest for the single "Take It Off." We've previewed it below, via a few still images from the unreleased video. What do you think?

Take a listen below to "Take It Off." Sounds like classic Ke$ha to us: zero vocal talent, but an addictive beat.

Music's hottest stars were all in one place on Saturday night.

On the red carpet of KIIS-FM's Wango Tango concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, there was Adam Lambert, dressed down for a change (i.e. no spikes or sparkles).

There was Ke$ha, posing for pictures with an unusual guest under her arm (see below).

There was Justin Bieber, ever cuter than a button, stopping for photos with the singer who discovered him:

There was Courtenay Semel, ummm, just standing there.

There were also Twilight Saga stars, ex-boyfriends of Miley Cyrus and more. Click on the following images to see who showed up and to see what they were wearing:

When Ke$ha performed "Your Love is My Drug" on Saturday Night Live last month, it was awful. Atrocious. Just really, really bad.

But the song has been edited and properly mixed and sounds like another fun dance song from this artist in her official music video for it.

Shot last month in the California desert, it features live action and animation, as Ke$ha glides through the sand, rides an elephant and dances with a python. All in a day's work.

Watch it now and then sound off on "Your Love is My Drug."

What do you think of the video?

Finally, Ke$ha will put the dollar sign in her name to good use.

The singer has announced a benefit concert on June 16 in Nashville. All proceeds from the event will go toward rebuilding her hometown, which has seen 21 deaths over the last couple weeks due to extreme flooding and whose flood damages may exceed $1 billion.

"I'm thrilled to announce that I will be playing a show to help benefit Nashville, my hometown," Ke$ha said. "One hundred percent of the profits from ticket sales will go to help the victims of these devastating floods. Nashville helped shape me as an artist and as a person and my love for this city is beyond words.

"I will continue to do anything I can to help rebuild this city and support the families and animals who have been affected by this tragedy."

Go America!

Sounds like Ke$ha is more than an unusual dresser and great kisser. She has it in her to be a solid humanitarian, as well.

Meanwhile, the Country Music Association announced yesterday that half the proceeds from the 2010 CMA Music Festival will go to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for flood relief.

Taylor Swift has also sent out her thoughts and prayers (along with $500,000) to Nashville and its citizens. We encourage readers to donate whatever they can to the Red Cross in the area by visiting Nashvilleredcross.org.

Ryan Phillippe hosted Saturday Night Live last night. One of the more random celebrities to take to the stage, the actor hasn't starred in a hit movie, or proven he's remotely funny, in years.

But he did perfectly fine. Not as humorous as Tinay Fey, not as embarrassing as January Jones.

Phillippe may not have stood out, but the evening's musical guest still has people talking. That's what Ke$ha does best, right?

The eccentric singer, who once called BS on Britney Spears for lip-synching, was definitely singing live during the broadcast. But we're not sure if that's a good thing. She sounds terrible on this rendition of "Tik Tok:"

Ke$ha also sang her latest single "Your Love is a Drug." Black lights were used, and unusual outfits were worn, during the performance, including a giant, neon cross across the singer's chest that may offend some Christians. See what we mean now:

What did you think of Ke$ha's performances? They were...

In the latest issue of Interview magazine, Ke$ha is described as the "chart-topping, glitter-caked new queen of drunk-girl dance music. [She] might very well be the perfect post-modern pop star: one who lives her life like it’s a reality show.”

But is that image contrived? Many critics think Ke$ha is full of $hit, just pretending to be eccentric in order to garner publicity.

The singer swears she really is a freak, though, and a quote in the Interview feature seems to back this up:

“None of it’s fabricated. Like, I have a belief that if I wear my placenta in a necklace, there’s a possibility of me gaining second sight, like being psychic. I would be wearing it whether or not I was in the public eye... I went yesterday to a past-life regressionist, and he told me that in my past life I was assassinated. I’m pretty sure that I was JFK in my past life.”

Well... okay then.

The artist, born Kesha Rose Sebert, also refers to herself as a "Dance Commander" instead of a "star" because she says the latter label is "douchey."

What are the responsibilities of a Dance Commander?

"I’m not pretentious," she says. "I’m fighting this war against all that because pop music, in my opinion, should be fun. One of the most important things in the world is having the ability to turn someone’s mood from mediocre to excellent in three minutes. It’s like a fucking magic trick."

Does Ke$ha accomplish that trick for you? Ponder that question as you check out more photos from the magazine pictorial below:

Sorry, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard. But your summer tour just took a significant backseat.

Rihanna has confirmed that she'll take her new album, "Rated R," on the road this summer, leading a "Last Girl On Earth" North American tour that will also include another diva burning up the charts: Ke$ha!

Crazy Fashion

Which of these singers would you be more excited to see live?

Ke$ha dissed Britney Spears earlier this month for her lip syncing tendencies. But the mouthy upstart also gave props to the princess of pop in an interview.

In her chat with So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Ke$ha talked about her song “Styrofoam,” and its lyric “In 10 years, Britney Spears. Britney, who?”

Another apparent diss? Maybe not. “Just to clarify, I didn’t write that bit,” Ke$ha said, “I was 15, and there is a reason that song’s not on my record. I have to admit now I ever regret even singing that because I have mad respect for her.”

Ke$ha also Tweeted an apology to Justin Bieber for that joke she made about breast feeding him in Maxim, writing “dear justin b i am so sorry if my bad joke hurt your feelings. u r obviously talented and i never mean7 to offend u. i think u r rad.”

Aww. Ke$ha has gone soft on us!

Britwick Lives

Ke$ha respects the pop goddess that is Britney after all.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears and her agent/boyfriend Jason Trawick were seen leaving his place Tuesday. Looks like all those breakup rumors were ... rumors.

Which is a good thing. First Ke$ha's apology and clarification, now a sighting of a happy Spears with her boyfriend? A very good day to be on Team Britney.

Follow the jump for a video of Ke$ha giving her props:
